A/N: I am sorry for the delayed update. I've been working a lot and school has been busy. I was going to update last night…but I passed out when I was writing.

One more thing, go and check out danielcooper82 on Deviantart. It will give you a lot of backstory on him and his family. That might help you reading this fanfiction. Once again, Daniel and his family are not owned by me. Blair93 created them.

The scene was dusty and blank, right in the middle of the desert. Despite the desert appearing empty, just a little further was a large ancient Egyptian city. The city had what seemed to be thousands of locals, most of them extremely poor. The streets were flooded with local merchants selling different goods, children playing with their toys, men working to keep the city clean, and locals browsing the markets. Just down the street was a very large palace, containing the pharaoh, King Ramesses II.

Inside the palace was coated with gold walls and silver tile floors. King Ramesses II was sitting on his throne, being fanned by his servants and beautiful women massaging him. A familiar face entered the palace, interrupting the king's time.

The face was none other than a raccoon. He wore a tall, pointy headdress and had a fake triangle gold beard. He was shirtless, covered in tattoos, but wore a gold skirt. His shoes were gladiator sandals to accommodate to Egypt's harsh heat. He carried a gold cane with him wherever he went, and often the locals never recognized him because of his swift entrances and exits when he performs his job, being the king's personal thief.

The king himself was an overweight lion that was, just like the raccoon, shirtless and covered in tattoos. He was covered in gold and jewels across his headdress. He smiled when the raccoon entered. "Slytunkhamen Cooper, it's so good to see you."

The raccoon bowed to his king. "Yes, sir. I have brought you the goods you have requested."

Slytunkhamen emptied his brown sack he was carrying, revealing precious rubies and diamonds scattered all across the table that was in front of Ramesses's throne.

"You're just like your father, Slytunkhamen."

"I do appreciate the compliment, sire." Slytunkahmen smiled. "I do have someone I'd like you to meet, however. Would you be open to that, sir?"

Ramesses signaled Slytunkahmen to present the person he wanted him to meet. Slytunkhamen exited the palace doors and reentered with a famous raccoon. "This is Sly Cooper, sir."

Back in the present day, Skylar and Nathan had arrived back at Bentley's lab with the "borrowed" work van. Nathan wasn't proud of stealing from his job, but he was a Cooper and Coopers are natural thieves, it's just the way it goes.

"You got the van!" Rascal ran outside to see the two thieves and observed the work van. "Don't you think it might be too small?"

Nathan groaned. "Well, I mean, this is what we can get for now."

"I don't think it's too small." Skylar added. "The time machine isn't that big, plus aren't we going to split up?"

Bentley wheeled outside to take a look at the van. He wasn't too surprised; it was what he had expected to see. He didn't personally see any issue with the work van that was presented, but he did wonder if it may have been too small, since it could really only seat five people comfortably. "I wonder how we can all fit into that van, Nathan."

"We're going to split up still, right?" Rascal asked with concern.

Nathan laughed. "That's what I thought at least. We still need to get the Cooper van up and running too."

"How do you think we can do that?" Bentley crossed his arms.

Nathan smiled. "I told you I work with a mechanic. Does anyone not remember I am a car detailer? I literally work with mechanics on a daily basis."

Skylar frowned. "You just stole a work van, Nathan. You can't go back to the scene of the crime, unless you want to get caught. Every thief knows that."

Nathan squinted at Skylar in concern. "And how do YOU know that?"

Skylar blushed. "I…uh…well I am a Cooper. You're not an angel yourself, Nathan."

As they were arguing, the van started to sputter a bit. After a while, oil started to leak from the bottom, soaking Bentley's wheels.

Nathan crossed his arms. "Well that's lovely, now the work van is busted."

Daniel walked outside to observe what all the noise was coming from, finding Bentley, Nathan, Skylar, and Rascal all standing in shock with the leaking van they had just obtained.

"Well, that really sucks." Daniel didn't really know how to respond. All he could do was watch in awe with the gang.

"We'll just steal another one." Skylar answered.

Nathan snapped. "No, we can't do that. You literally just said we can't return to the scene of the crime. Plus, my work will know for sure something is up if they find a second van missing. I'm already in deep shit as it is."

A certain mouse emerged from behind the lab and witnessed the gang argue about the now broken van. She laughed to herself and approached the group. "I'll fix it for you, don't worry."

Bentley groaned. "I do not want you fixing anything, Penelope."

Penelope frowned. "Do you forget that I was an AIRPLANE mechanic? I can practically fix anything. Haven't I already won your trust with the time machine."

"No, and I don't trust you anywhere near our only working van."

Penelope giggled to herself. "Only working van? Last I checked it's leaking oil by the tons. If that's your definition of working, I might need to buy you a dictionary."

Bentley ignored Penelope's smart remark. "I don't care, we don't need your help."

Penelope ignored Bentley's bickering and went back to her little pink sports car parked by the local gas station to grab her small blue toolbox. When she walked back, she ignored Bentley's commands to leave the vehicles alone. She popped open the hood on the work van and observed the interior. She grabbed her wrench from her toolbox and tightened a loose bolt.

"It's fixed." She smiled as she shut the hood down. "Now let me go install that time machine."

She wheeled out the time machine on the dolly and smiled to Nathan and Daniel. "Would you two mind lending me a hand lifting this machine?"

The two raccoons lifted the dense machine onto the top of the van and Penelope bolted it down. "Well, that's done. Now I need to fix the Cooper van and you will have two time machines."

Bentley frowned. "Penelope, you can't just waltz in here and just magically fix…"

"Oh, do you not want to go save Sly?" Penelope interrupted. "I told you I was sorry. I am trying to fix my errors, Bentley. That's all. If you don't want to trust me, I get it. All I am trying to do is help you get Sly back. I know how much he means to you."

Bentley softened his eyes when he looked into Penelope's eyes. Either she was a real good liar, or she was genuinely sorry. Her eyes told Bentley she was, and that was something you really can't fake. "I…I forgive you Penelope." Bentley stuttered.

Penelope smiled. "Thank you, Bentley."

"So, I have an idea." Skylar spoke. "While Penelope fixes the Cooper van, why don't Daniel, Rascal, and I go back to 1300 BC to go look for Sly? That way we aren't pushing for room in the van and we can make this go by a little faster."

Daniel looked nervously to Skylar. "Without Bentley? Do you think that might be a very bad idea?"

Rascal squinted his eyes at Daniel. "Um, excuse me? I'm a genius too. Besides, we can come up with a rendezvous plan and a plan to communicate."

Bentley smiled. "That gem we contacted Dimitri with when we went back in time with Sly! We can use that!"

"So how about this. If Bentley and Nathan find Sly in 1350 BC, they call us, and we meet them there. If we find Sly in 1300 BC, we call them, and they meet us there. Sound fair?"

Skylar jumped into the back of the van, anxious to get moving. "Let's go you guys."

"Impatient much?" Daniel giggled as he entered the van.

Rascal jumped into the driver's seat. "Okay, 1350 BC, here we come."

Rascal dialed in the time and the van started to shake excessively. Just before their eyes, Nathan, Bentley, and Penelope started to turn into a giant blur, eventually fading into a blue vortex that surrounded the van. The pressure was so intense, the gang felt their organs wanting to exit their bodies violently. Luckily, the trip did not last very long, and they soon found themselves in the desert wasteland of ancient Egypt.
