Sly soon came awaken to an unknown pitch-black room. The room felt cold and had hard flooring. Sly had a splitting headache and felt extremely dizzy. His arms felt as if they were tied to the ground, even though they were completely free. He didn't feel like himself, as if a darker side of him that he never knew about was starting to emerge. He felt angry and heartless, as if he didn't care about anyone or anything. He wanted to become someone important, someone that people would fear.

Despite these feelings, the other half of him wanted to escape Egypt and return home to his normal life, see all his friends again, and be able to wrap his arms around his favorite vixen again. He didn't understand what was going on with him, but he wanted it to stop. He knew this wasn't like him at all.

A side door opened, revealing a bright white light. A lion figure soon emerged from the door. At first Sly thought he may have been dead, but he figured he wasn't lucky enough to experience that yet.

"Cooper…"

"Oh, it's just you, Lucifer. Would you be so kind and let me out of here?" Sly asked sarcastically.

"I would Sly, but you know my orders." Lucifer grinned. "Besides, I need you to stay a while longer. Are you not comfortable?"

"I'm very comfortable. You don't look comfortable. Maybe I should break both of your legs with my cane so you can sit down for once."

Lucifer frowned. "Very funny, Cooper. You can't move. I dare you to even try."

Sly tried to move his arm upwards but was unable. He felt as if something was pulling his arm back down as he tried to lift it back up, as if it was tied to something. He knew he wasn't tied to anything, so it didn't really make sense to him.

"By the way, Slytunkhamen isn't in this room, so don't bother looking for him. I'll reunite you two later. For now, I have some business to take care of."

Sly started to feel intense heat from his anger, but he was still able to control it. "Lucifer, is Skylar really my daughter?"

Lucifer paused and looked back at Sly. He smiled. "Yes. Oh, but don't forget Rascal."

Sly stopped. "…I have two children?" Sly's mind immediately jumped to the idea that Carmelita must have started seeing someone else because of his disappearance. He felt a wave of depression hit him like a bat. He wouldn't say he was surprised, he figured she was very lonely without him to be with her.

Lucifer laughed once more. "Well of course! Carmelita had a set of twins. Oh, you must have been away for a long time, Cooper! She had a boy and a girl. Did you not notice that little boy that entered with Daniel?"

Sly sighed in relief, but this relief didn't last long. Twins? Did Carmelita have to raise these two children all by herself? He felt like just breaking down, but all he could think to do was go to both of them and take them home. Right now, though, Lucifer had him under some sort of trap, and he couldn't move to go to them, no matter how hard he fought.

Back at the palace, the entire gang felt a wave of depression, failure, fear, and even anger. Skylar took it the hardest, feeling as if she failed her entire family. She should've listened to Daniel. Perhaps they wouldn't be in this situation if she had just obeyed him for once. Instead, she had to go off adventuring on her own.

Daniel looked over and notice Skylar standing in the same spot she was when Sly was dragged away. The door was locked behind them, so they couldn't escape the palace if they wanted to. Skylar's face read all her emotions all at once. Her eyes were red from wanting to cry, her cheeks were flushed, and her hair appeared to be like straw. Daniel couldn't help himself but to help her feel better. It broke his heart to see her like that. "Are you okay Skylar?" Daniel walked up to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry, uncle Daniel." She wept.

Daniel was taken back. What did she just say? "Well that's a new one." He chuckled.

Skylar looked up at him with her teary eyes. "Well, I mean, it's the least I can do. I feel like I disrespected you. I feel like I failed you and I hurt you."

Daniel felt horrible listening to her say these things. He of course instantly forgave her, but this was a side he never had seen of Skylar. She never was this emotional state before. He didn't really know how to handle it, but all he figured he could do was be there for her. "Disrespected me? Yeah. Hurt me? Maybe a little. Failed me? Absolutely not."

Skylar stopped sobbing for a little bit to listen to what Daniel had to say.

"Skylar, you were never a failure to me or to anyone since the day you were born. You made a mistake, and that's okay. Mistakes can be fixed, or at the very least forgiven. It's not really that big of deal. You didn't cause your dad to have to go through that and you know that. This would've probably happened even if you hadn't come by yourself. In fact, we might have been too late if you had never done this. So, in a way, you actually saved the day."

Rascal smiled and approached the two. "You're kind of a hero, sis."

Daniel smiled at the two kids and straightened his back. "You two are messpots, you know that? But let me tell you if it wasn't for you two, I would have probably never seen my brother again."

"I never would get my best friend back." Bentley chimed in. "Both of you were able to track him down faster than I ever could. I'm not sure how you did it, but I do have to say that was an excellent job you two did." Bentley felt embarrassed complimenting someone else on their job since he was normally the brains of the operation. This time, however, he just helped, and he was okay with that. Everyone had to put their love into this operation to find Sly.

"I agree with Bentley. You, well all of you, were just amazing finding out where Sly was. It's beyond any of the work I could have done."

Daniel looked up at the door Lucifer had drug Sly and Slytunkhamen into. The door was shut tight, but even if he were to get in he didn't really know the way to get to him. He knew that the entrance coming in was locked, and there was no real way to climb back up into the roof Skylar had entered through. "Bentley, who was that other raccoon that Sly was with?" Daniel meant to ask how to get out of here, but his mind immediately switched to Slytunkhamen's face.

Bentley thought for a minute. "Oh, that's Slytunkhamen II." He answered. "His father wrote the thevious raccoonus. He created the Cooper vault; you know the one Dr. M ended up destroying out of desperation to get inside?"

Daniel crossed his arms. "Believe me, I remember. How do you suppose we could get out of here?"

Penelope pushed the placed door. "It's locked tight."

Bentley looked at the door Sly was taken though. "Well, perhaps that passage might lead to a way out. We don't really have much of a choice, but perhaps we can find Sly during our journey out."

Penelope approached the door and examined it. After a while, she got an 'ah-ha' moment, figuring out she needed to hack a computer that was on the other side. She followed a big wire underneath the door and found the old dinosaur. "Bentley, it's time to brush off those hacking skills." She smiled.
