This one's short, but needed.

As always, thanks for all the love and happy reading.

A hand on Lucy's shoulder startled the goddess as she was rolling up the last of her tapestry. "Lucy, what did you do?"

Lucy continued to focus on her work. "Do?"

"Don't play coy," Levy warned. "I heard you punished a pair of Hades followers."

"Oh. That." Lucy tied her tapestry and headed for her home. "That I did do."

"Lucy! What were you thinking? You know Hades will not like to hear about this!"

"Then he should keep a better leash on his pets," Lucy growled. "Those fiends attacked Natsu and stole the gift I gave him. They are lucky I did not do more."

"You cut off their thumbs!"

Lucy sighed as she carefully set her work into its box. "I should have done more," she reiterated.

Levy ran her hands through her hair. "Lucy, you acted outside of protocol-"

"How?" Lucy bolted upright and out of Levy's reach. "Gods and goddesses have killed their followers for losing gifts bestowed upon them. It is really so bad that I did the opposite?" She glared at her friend. "I am sorry if I care more for my follower than you do yours."

"I am not saying that I agree with the way the others do things, I am saying that he might retaliate."

Lucy scoffed. "Over two little humans? If they bother him about it at all, he'll probably just kill them both for disturbing him."

"Lucy-"

"Levy, leave it be." Lucy yawned as she headed for her bed. "He is my follower. If Hades retaliates, that is his decision, and I will just have to respond in whatever way I see fit. I am tired," said pointedly as she entered her room. "I'll talk to you more later."
