"No!"
Ethan was in unbearable pain. He weakly looked at the Doctor from where he lay. Pythor had his tail wrapped around him. Ethan had to stop him. He tried getting up, but fell back down as he hissed in pain, clutching his wound. A gold-yellowish glow started to envelope his free hand.
No! Not now! Ethan thought in panic. I just need a little more time!
He got up, slowly but surely, and limped to Pythor, who had the Doctor positioned towards Skales, if that was his name. His eyes started to swirl.
"Doctor!" Ethan shouted. A ninja in the same attire the white ninja he fought tackled Skales. His robe was black, he had a golden scythe strapped to his back, which the blade looked like a dragon breathing fire. He had no mask. His hair was jet black, a little long, just touching his eyebrows, and messy, as if he had just gotten done wrestling with a bear. While Skales and the ninja were wrestling, Ethan used all his strength to ram into Pythor's side, screaming in pain after doing so.
Pythor loosened his grip on the Doctor, giving him the chance to escape. He jumped out of Pythor's coils and grabbed Ethan just as he was about to fall. The Doctor cradled him.
"Doctor," Ethan said weakly, "Th...there's somethin' I need to tell you,"
"Shhhhhhhh. Not now. You need to rest," The Doctor picked him up.
And the last thing Ethan saw was the Doctor's determined and solemn look.
…
An alarm clock was going off.
Ethan opened his eyes slowly and blinked. He was in a room, which he presumed was an infirmary, since he was lying on a medical bed. The walls seemed to be made of either bamboo or wooden planks, red pillars, which he guessed were Japanese, since there were beautiful carvings of a Japanese dragon on each one, medical beds lined up against the walls, and a sliding door which was used in the 19th century on Earth.
He was bare-chested, showing he was a strongly built man, given why he's strong enough to bend a pipe. He lost some of that strength with his travels. There was a small piece of technology on his right wrist. He realized it was a heart-rate monitor. He at least still had his jeans on.
He looked at the heart-rate monitor, and it was going twice as fast as a regular human. He quickly ripped it off, muttering a curse under his breath.
There was a song playing softly in the background. One of his favorites, Imagine by A Perfect Circle.
Now who would know one of my favorites? He thought.
He crept to the door. All he had were his fists to defend himself if needed. He opened the door silently. There was a hallway, made of the same material as the infirmary. There were two doors on each wall, and at the opposite end of the hallway were some stairs leading up. He crept down the hallway. He noticed a survival knife laying on the ground, hidden in a notch by one of the doors. He picked it up and went up the stairs. They were on on a ship, that was for sure, but oddly, it was in the sky! He brought his metal hand up to his mouth.
"Computer, any signs of what this… ship is called?" He spat ship as he had just seen someone being mugged.
"Scanning. This could take up to approximately one hour," The computer, or his hand, said.
Ethan sighed. He heard grunting over the now closer music. He saw the white ninja attacking a dummy. He didn't have his mask on, so Ethan could see he had blonde hair with a flat top, and blue eyes. Ethan crept forward, seeing the radio playing the music. Ethan threw the knife, hitting the radio and breaking it. The ninja turned around, giving Ethan enough time to kick him down. He ran to the helm, and was amazed by what he saw. There was a door, of course, but through the room, he saw panels of technology and information.
And the Doctor.
"Doctor!" Ethan breathed. The Doctor was wandering the room, talking to someone. He heard footsteps behind him, and saw the white ninja he kicked down.
"Stay down, will ya?" Ethan muttered.
"Sir, I'm not here to hurt y-" The ninja was cut of short by trying to dodge one of Ethan's punches. He grabbed Ethan's arm, holding it firmly.
"What the-?" Ethan said, confused. He threw a foot up to kick his, hut the ninja used his other hand to grab it. Ethan had a hand on the ground, holding him out.
"As I tried to say, sir, I am not trying to hurt you," The ninja said. "My name is Zane, and yours is…?"
"An idiot," Ethan said, deciding to toy with the ninja. "Why did you attack me?"
"I don't know," Zane said. "Something took control of my systems, and I attacked,"
This took a minute to click with Ethan, and them had an even more confused look,
"Wait, you said systems. Are you saying you're an android?" Ethan asked.
"No, I'm a robot," Zane said.
"Same thing," Ethan said. Zane let him go, making him fall with a yelp. He got up and dusted himself off.
"Tell me, what is 'A Perfect Circle'?" Zane asked.
"A band from where I'm from," Ethan said. "Where'd you get my cassette?"
"Your pocket," Zane said.
"Who might this be?" Ethan turned around, and saw an old man, maybe in his 70's, wearing a white robe with a straw hat, a long, white beard, and a bamboo staff. The Doctor was standing next to him, with his usual, goofy grin.
"Oh, this is an idiot," Zane said. The Doctor looked at Ethan seriously, who was failing at containing his laughter. The old man rubbed his temples and sighed.
"No, Zane, my actual name is Ethan," Ethan said after taking a breath.
"Oh," Zane said, apparently not catching on that he was made a fool. "Sorry, Sensei,"
"Sensei?" Ethan asked.
"Sensei Wu," The Doctor said as he stuck his hands in his pockets, "Trainer of four ninja, Zane, Cole, Kai, and Jay,"
"We've met Zane, as he is right here," Ethan said. "Maybe Kai,"
"Actually, that was Cole who tackled Skales," The Doctor said. "Also, watch out for Kai. He's a hothead."
"Ah," Ethan walked to the steering wheel and jumped off the railing onto the main deck. He saw the blue TARDIS in the deck. "Finally, I can change out of these clothes,"
He walked in, and saw a fresh set of clothes on the chair, next to his computer.
"Nothing's changed, hasn't it?" He smiled.
…
Ethan stepped back out of the TARDIS. He had a black camo t-shirt, a black headband tied around his forehead, an armored vest with a combat knife and 44 Magnum equipped with a silencer on the vest, padded military pants, a belt of pouches with different types of grenades, magnum ammo, small packets of C4, and trip-mines. He had night vision goggles, combat boots with an emergency beacon hidden in the heel, and a grappling hook.
After hacking into the maps on the Ninja's ship, he had found out that the serpentine had the first fang blade – which sounded bad – and a kid named Lloyd Garmadon. He decided he had a bone to pick with them, not caring that he could be interfering with the space-time continuum. It was night, which made it the perfect time for a sneak attack.
He had positioned the ship over New Ninjago City. Even though he was about 100ft in the air, he jumped. He had a one-use glider in his vest. He pushed a button and spread his arms, showing a thin sheet of fabric in between his arms, like a bat. He glided down to the city. It was very bright, and tons of cars were on the move.
Almost like when I visited New York City Ethan smirked. Old memories.
He glided down to an alley, which reeked of rotten food, and decaying mold. He activated his respirator so he could breathe better. He found a manhole cover, which was exactly what he was looking for. He silently took it off. He closed his eyes as he jumped down, not bothering to close the sewer off behind him. He activated his night vision goggles, and pulled out his .44 Magnum. He walked down the tunnel and stopped short. Red serpentine guards by a wall, both were Fangpyre according to the ship's computer. Both, or otherwise known as Fang-Suei. He pulled an invention he created called a sound grenade. It looked like a regular hand grenade, but it had a speaker hidden in it. He threw it past them, and then, out of the blue, the songChic N' Stu by System of a Down started playing. The guards were alerted and ran off. Ethan ran to the supposed wall and rubbed his hands all over it, looking for a hidden switch. He found a loose brick, but before he could press it, he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and he screamed. He saw one of the guards had bitten him. He launched the guard of of his back. He looked at his shoulder. Two holes in his vest, oozing some sort of chemical. He pulled his Magnum out and fired, silently firing a dart filled with a thing called an "Amnesia Toxin". The side affects were extreme drowsiness. It would only erase exactly 5 minutes of the victim's memory, although the drowsiness only lasted ten minutes. Simple yet effective. The dart hit the guard right in the neck. The guards eyes roll up, and he fell on the ground, asleep.
"Stupid," Ethan said. "Utterly stupid. I've seen species weaker able to counter act this," He pushed the loose brick, and the wall slid to the left, showing a dimly lit corridor. Ethan stepped inside, and the wall closed behind him.
"No going back then," Ethan muttered.
"Not wrong there," A voice said. Ethan put his gun away and grabbed his knife. He spun and lashed out, and stopped himself short. There a little kid, maybe 10, in a big birdcage hanging off the ceiling. He had a black hoodie with what seemed to be a rib cage painted on, black pants and sneakers. He had his hood up so it was hard to determine his hair color.
"You must be Lloyd," Ethan said, putting the knife away.
"I might be, but maybe not," The boy replied with sass.
"Analysis Complete." Ethan's robotic hand said. "Lloyd Garmadon Confirmed." Ethan looked at him skeptically.
"See?" Ethan pointed to his hand. "Doesn't lie," He grabbed his gun and opened the chamber, revealing that there was no ammo.
"I just need one," Ethan put one bullet in one slot of the chamber, and then amnesia darts in the rest.
"Might need to stand back, kid," Ethan aimed the gun at the lock.
"Look out!" Lloyd shouted. Ethan swiveled, and saw Pythor whipping his tail at him. Ethan ducked and spun the chamber of the gun, loading to the darts. He wasn't fast enough, since the venom from the bite was slowing him down. Pythor's tail whipped Ethan off of his feet, making the gun slide across the floor. Ethan quickly grabbed his knife and threw it at him, but missed. Pythor wrapped Ethan in his coils. Ethan struggled, but stopped after it was obvious he wasn't getting out of this mess.
"I see you got bit," Pythor nodded at the wound in his shoulder.
"Yeah, so what?" Ethan said. Pythor just smiled evilly. He picked the gun up off of the ground and aimed it at Ethan.
"Now," He said as he unwrapped Ethan out of his coils. "Please follow me,"
"Do I have a choice?" Ethan asked with sarcasm.
"No," Pythor nudged Ethan forward, and Ethan followed.
