Republic City University. Long held as one of the most prestigious universities in the nation and beyond, students flocked from all over when invited to attend.

One of these students stood in line at one of the university's many cafes. She was tall and simply but fashionable dressed. Black, expensive jeans hugged her long legs with leather heeled boots peaking out. Her silky black hair was swept into a tight bun with bangs framing her pretty, angular features. She had on sunglasses that shaded her flashing golden eyes.

"Next customer!" The barista's smile quickly faded as he saw the girl in front of him. He cringed at the memory of making her the wrong coffee. Azula rolled her eyes behind her dark sunglasses as she recognized the boy serving her. Why couldn't the university hire competent baristas? Surely the training wasn't that complex.

"Medium double-shot almond latte with soy milk, and I'll take some fruit and a croissant with that" a smirk played at her lips as the boy scrambled to write it down, "And I'd appreciate the right order this time.

"O-of course," the barista gulped and hurried away.

After receiving her correct order, Azula walked over to the large table by the window. Her brother sat at the corner flipping through notes. His girlfriend leaned against him, lazily scrolling through her phone as the cheery girl across from them was telling a story.

"Oh Zuzu, you're not ready for the quiz are you?" Azula slid into the open chair.

Zuko looked up and scowled, "I studied okay? Sing's notes are just always so disorganized."

"Oh don't blame our poor professor. Maybe it's that new friend group you've been hanging out with," Azula smirked.

Zuko opened his mouth to respond, but decided against arguing and went back to his notes.

Ty Lee spoke up next to Azula, "They do seem fun! Maybe we should introduce ourselves next time."

Without looking up from her phone, Mai rolled her eyes, "You're just into that guy Sokka."

Ty Lee giggled, "Okay and?"

Mai sighed, "Wanting to fuck someone is different from wanting to be friends with their whole friend group. Plus I think he has a girlfriend."

Ty Lee pouted in disappointment as Zuko looked up and nodded, "Yeah he does."

Azula sipped from her latte and stayed quiet as Ty Lee and Mai started talking about the single people Ty Lee could possibly get with. They knew better than to include her in trivial conversations, her own love life being non-existent. Being a double major in political science and business was enough for her. And it didn't help that she was head of student government and team captain of the university's soccer team.

"What about Sokka's sister?" Mai nudged Zuko, "Isn't she single?"

Zuko grunted, annoyed at being disturbed, "Yeah I think so, I don't know if she's into girls though."

A cheeky smile sprang from Ty Lee, "Maybe we'll find out."

Mai reached over and plucked a strawberry from Azula's fruit plate, "You're so dramatic Ty, there's already so many boys after you."

"Boys are too easy," Ty Lee sighed and reached over to Azula's fruit plate, "And all busy this school year."

Azula slapped Ty Lee's wrist away.

"Hey! You let Mai have one!"

Azula shrugged, "You said you don't like easy, go buy one yourself."

That brought out a chuckle from Mai.

The cafe door jingled as a new group of students walked in. A well-toned boy with his arm around a cute girl walked in. His blue eyes stood out against his dark skin, and he sported a playful smile.

"Zuko! What's up!"

"I give up, I'll just wing this quiz," Zuko muttered. But he smiled as he saw the couple walking towards him, "Hey Sokka, how's it going?"

Azula rolled her eyes as Ty Lee shifted in her seat, twirling her braid.

"Nothing much, just trying to show Suki around campus. Today's her first day of classes, she just transferred here."

Suki smiled, "Hey it's nice to meet you all."

Ty Lee grinned back, "Hi! I'm Ty Lee, and this is Azula and Mai, and you already know Zuko."

Mai looked up from her phone and Azula nodded in acknowledgement. Sokka laughed in sarcasm, "Zuko how come you never told me how friendly your friends were."

"I'm his girlfriend," Mai shot a look at Sokka.

"Woah okay," Sokka put his hands up, "Not trying to bang him, I promise."

Azula smiled in amusement as Zuko shifted in his seat, not knowing how to respond.

"See, Azula thinks I'm funny!" Sokka grinned as Suki rolled her eyes, "Anyways, I was going to text Zuko, but Katara and I are having a party tomorrow night and you're all welcome to come."

"We'd love to!" Ty Lee chirped.

"Great, well I'll see you all tomorrow night, I'll text Zuko the details." Sokka waved goodbye as he walked away with Suki.

"Don't you have gymnastics tomorrow?" Mai raised an eyebrow.

Ty Lee shrugged, "I'll tell coach I'm sick or something."

"Please remind me how you're team captain again." The latte was now cold as Azula downed the rest.

"Natural talent and a positive attitude?" Ty Lee laughed, "Come on, their party seems fun, can we please go?"

Mai shrugged and Zuko nodded, "I was already going to go, Azula?"

The cafe was clearing as the next class period was coming up. Azula slung her bag over her shoulder, "I'm busy tomorrow."

"Oh come on Azula, it's not even halfway through the quarter," Ty Lee objected.

"I'll see what I can fit in." With that, she strode out the door.
