(The last chapter ended right before the episode "Career Day" if you haven't seen it a summary is Chet comes to Shawn's school and lets him know that his mother has taken off, leaving Shawn homeless. This chapter will pick up a few months after Shawn has started to live with his english teacher Mr. Turner.)

Shawn had found living with Turner to be like a dream. Him and Turner were like brothers, and Turner truly cared for Shawn, he was always there for him whenever he needed. Ironically enough, it seemed as his parents disappeared from his life, so did Eddie. Shawn wasn't complaining about that but he missed his parents. He missed his mother's soothing smile, and his father's advice. He missed them.

"Shawn how does pasta sound for dinner?" Turner asked from the kitchen. Shawn turned to smile and nod and then focused his attention back on his homework.

"You know Hunter, I just can't seem to understand how you stare at your homework for hours every night, but somehow I never see any on my desk during class." Turner joked as he sat next to Shawn on the couch. Shawn smiled. He understood Turner was trying to joke with him but he was too distracted.

He had started having nightmares about Eddie. Today was Eddie's birthday. Every year on Eddie's birthday, he would have his goons tie up Shawn and feed him cake before having their fun with him. Shawn hadn't heard from Eddie in months, but it was 6pm and he hadn't seen him yet. He was nervous, did Eddie know where Shawn lived? Was he going to grab him? This had been going on for years but no matter how many times it happened, Shawn was still always upset at the thought of it happening again.

"Um actually Jon, can we go out?" Shawn asked.

"You wanna go out for dinner?" Turner replied, Shawn never went out to dinner with Turner.

"Yeah I can pay for my food, I just wanna go out."

Turner shrugged but grabbed his wallet and jacket and the two left.

They arrived at Chubbie's where they sat down in one of the booths while they waited for their food.

"So how come you wanted to go out tonight kid?" Turner asked, Shawn was nervously looking around the room, checking if Eddie or any of his goons were there.

"I don't know, we've never gone out before I guess," Shawn replied, still not looking at him.

"Hunter are you alright? You look nervous." Jonathan asked

"Yeah I'm fine, I just need to use the bathroom, I'll be right back." Shawn said as he moved out of the booth and walked towards the restrooms. The bathroom was empty and he went to use a urinal when someone walked out of a stall. Shawn knew the rules of using a urinal, never look up, always look down at your feet. The man stood next to Shawn, who still refused to look up. The man then grabbed Shawn's member and began to stroke it. Shawn felt a chill go over him,

"Hey quit it," When he finally looked up, it was Eddie.

"Miss me Shawnie?" Shawn swallowed hard. He didn't reply, just pulled up his pants and moved towards the door, Eddie beat him to it. "So what do you think you're better than me? Since you left trailer life to live with that middle class teacher?" Shawn didn't respond. Eddie began stalking towards his brother, "What? I'm not good enough for you? You don't care about me anymore?" Shawn ignored the taunting and tried to go around Eddie. "No, no, no, where do you think you're going," Eddie grabbed Shawn, Shawn then kicked Eddie in the shins hoping to slow him down.

"Fucking bitch!" Eddie yelled in pain as he threw Shawn into the mirror, breaking it. Shawn was disoriented for a second, he could feel the blood starting to run down his head. Eddie dragged Shawn into one of the stalls and shut up the door, he held Shawn up against the wall and began to pull his own pants down when with whatever strength Shawn had left he bit down hard on Eddie's shoulder. Eddie's grip loosened as he cried out in pain, giving Shawn an opportunity to escape. Shawn ran out of the bathroom without looking back. Once he got out, he locked the bathroom door and took a breath.

"Shawn?" a female voice asked, it sounded concerned. Shawn turned around, it was his friend.

"Topanga!" He exclaimed.

"Shawn what happened?" Topanga asked as she saw the blood running down his forehead.

"It's a long story, can you just help me clean up?" He sighed, Topanga nodded and the two left.

Hours later Shawn returned to Turner's. When Turner heard the door open he jumped from his seat.

"Shawn!" He bent down to hold him in a hug.

"Hi?" Shawn wasn't used to this, him and Turner don't hug. They don't even give each other high fives.

"Hunter where were you? You disappeared and I couldn't find you."

"I went to Cory's for a bit, it's fine." Shawn lied, but Turner knew better.

"No you didn't, I went there and they said they hadn't seen you."

"I told Cory to lie for me." Shawn was good at lying on his feet.

"Cory wasn't home. He was at Topanga's." Turner replied, leaning against the wall. He wondered how deep of a hole Shawn would dig himself in before he came clean.

"No he wasn't, I was at Topanga's and I didn't see him there," Shawn accidentally said out loud. Turner's face only had a sarcastic smile on it,

"Did I say that out loud?" Shawn mumbled.

"Yes. Hunter, what the hell were you doing at your best friend's, girl's house?" Turner raised his voice, resulting in Shawn to flinch.

"You know boy…. I'm tired of you running off, everytime somethings hard for you…"

Shawn felt another kick to his spine.

"I-I don't know…." Shawn mumbled looking at the ground. Shawn was still jumpy from his encounter with Eddie earlier that day.

"People spend good, precious time looking after you only for you to disrespect them. For you to run off, and make me go get you in the middle of the damn night!" Another kick.

"Do you know how weird it looks? That you went to Cory's girlfriends house when he wasn't there? Your best friend's girlfriend! On top of that why would you leave Chubbie's without telling me? Do you know how stupid that made me look? While I sat there waiting for you to come back for an hour!"

"Boy you bring shame to the 'Hunter' name! You bring shame to this entire family! I wish I never had you!" He ended his rant with a blow to Shawn's head.

"Okay! I'm sorry! Just stop yelling!" Shawn sighed before burying his head into his knees.

At that moment Turner was furious, Cory was Shawn's best friend, he had no idea what Shawn did at Topanga's and he didn't want to know. He never thought of Shawn as a homewrecker, but maybe Turner knew less than he thought.

"No! You think that here you can get away with whatever you want, and that's on me, but I will not allow you to destroy the one good friendship you have! Cory-" Turner was cut off,

"One? One good friendship? Aren't you my friend? Or maybe I don't understand that either." Shawn scoffed before standing up from the couch, he was heading towards the door when Turner grabbed him.

"Come on Shawnie, why must you fight…" Eddie's voice rang in Shawn's ears.

"Let go of me!" Shawn yelled, trying to pull his arm away from his teacher, but Turner was far stronger than Shawn.

"Knock it out Hunter!" Turner yelled, he wasn't holding Shawn's arm hard, just hard enough where Shawn couldn't move. Shawn was using all the strength he had to try and free himself from Turner's hold. He turned around and began hitting on Jon, anywhere he could, with whatever he could.

"Let me fucking go!" Turner had broken up fights before and knew how to handle this, he turned Shawn so he was facing the opposite direction and pulled him close, he wrapped his free hand around Shawn's chest, restricting him from moving.

"Hunter,"

"Don't fucking call me that!" Shawn accepted the fact he couldn't fight him anymore but he was still boiling with anger.

"Hey watch your mouth! When I let go of you, you're going straight to your room. Where you will stay for the rest of the night. And I don't want to hear a word from you until morning." Jonathan whispered into Shawn's ear. The boy's face was still angry while his body had stopped fighting. He pulled himself from Johnathan and without looking at him went straight to his room.
