Alex now woke up in the hospital, on their bed. As she did wake up, she found herself surrounded by her family, her friends, and her… her mom! Mrs. Ross was there. "hey sweetie!". Diane said, stroking her daughter's head. "hi love". "you took quite a spill there". Mr. Ross said. "I.. I did?". Alex asked. "yes, but the important thing is that you're ok now". "Mrs. Ross said. "and we will always be here for you".
"where's everybody else?". "what happened?". Alex asked. "they're fine, they got out of the hospital a couple of days ago". Diane said. "oh". Alex replied.
"Mom….". Alex began asking. "yes dear?". Her mom then pulled her daughter close, cuddling her, the way she did when Alex was little. "do you….do you think I…I can make it?".
"whatever do you mean sweetheart?". Diane asked. "well, do you think I'll make it out there in the real world?". "I don't want to be a burden to you and dad". "I know I got a rough start". Alex began coughing and sniffling again. "but I don't want that to affect who I am". "I want to be successful". "I want to have a purpose". "I want to help, instead of be helped".
she began crying. "honey, you are successful". Diane said in a gentle voice.
"your dad and I are very proud of your accomplishments, and who you are". "you have always made us proud". "you saved the world for us, because you are our world". "and we love you for it, our special girl". She said. The rest of Sector V, who was now feeling better filed in.
"it's true Alexandria". They had said. She picked her head up, excited to see them. "it is?". She asked. "Hoagie, Abby, Wally, Kuki, and….". she saw a gentle, happy looking Nigel Uno enter the room. "Nigel". She said.
"it is true Alexandria". He stroked her head as well. "you've helped me, when I was down, in fact, you've saved all of us from becoming horrible". "you deserve true love". "Which is why I'am no longer leading the Kids Next Door". "that is your job now". Everyone clapped, as Alex smiled gladly. "I won't let you down boss". She said. "indeed, I know you won't". Nigel nodded back. It was imminent at that moment, and even after she left the hospital, that she didn't.
