Overview: This fanfiction is a bit of a nuanced one as well as the first one that I have ever attempted to make so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. In this series, two OC that I have created will bring Naruto into their home, giving him a glimpse of normal family life. Will it last? Or will Naruto be driven into a darker state possibly closer to insanity? Stay tuned to find out.

Chapter 1. A New Savior Arrives.

"Get him! Don't let that demon brat get away!" Screamed a villager as they chased after a terrified 5-year-old blonde boy with crystal blue eyes which were widened with fear. As the boy ran trying to evade his pursuers, he failed to notice a fallen branch in his path. He tripped and stumbled over, cursing the throbbing pain in his right ankle, however during this, it gave the villagers ample time to catch up to him and quickly blocking off any exit.

"Please don't hurt me" the small child begged, unsure as to why these people hated him so and why they constantly tormented him as if he had done something unspeakable. I'm just a kid he thought as they came closer weapons drawn with evil smirks on their faces.

What did I ever do to them?

"Don't hurt you?" laughed one of the villagers, a middle-aged man with a darkened scar above his right eye "Do you not realize how much pain and grief your very existence has caused us?" he raised his hunting knife, one slightly larger than the standard-issue Kunai

"No! I don't!" protested the child trying to mask his fear. "I know I've played a few pranks on some of the villagers but I never hurt anyone"

"Save your breath you demon," said a red-haired woman "6 years ago this village was attacked and nearly destroyed by the Nine-tailed fox, and rumor has it that you are that fox's host, you're the reason my husband and son are dead, as well as the Fourth Hokage." She gripped her baton tighter as rage filled her eyes.

"For that, you will die and we will finally rid this village of its curse" most of the crowd cheered in agreement, and with that, they closed in as the wide blue eyes of the child let out a tear and a blood-curdling scream left his lips.

Meanwhile.

A Group of Anbu led by Kenta Oyashi a Jōnin of the hidden leaf were returning from a mission to assassinate a group of rogue ninja hired by the Hidden Cloud to spy on the Hidden Leaf. Kenta was flanked by several close associates including his cousin Kakashi Hatake who had given up his role as captain for this mission. His logic was sound as Kenta had spent several years in the Hidden cloud on a secret mission to learn the Rikage's secret intentions on starting another Shinobi war. Kakashi was his family but also his most trusted ally. His cousin had been through so much hell in his short life.

I often forget he is barely 18 years old Kenta thought. He's lost almost everyone he has ever been close to, his Sensei, his father, and his teammates all before he was 15 years old. The thought made him think of his own son back in the village. Takuya was just about to graduate from the academy in a years' time and would begin his work as a ninja. His mother had died in childbirth leaving Kenta to raise him alone.

As they jumped through the trees one of the Anbu noticed a disturbance about 200 meters away. Kenta signaled for his team to stop and assess the situation.

"Please stop! I promise I won't cause anyone any more trouble!" came a high-pitched childlike voice

"Kill the brat and be done with it Izumi!" Yelled a woman to the scarred man.

"Do you see this scar you little shit!?" he screamed as he pulled the boy by his shirt closer to him "you caused this, you are the reason we lost so many people including the Fourth Hokage! Now you'll suffer as we all have for the past six years!" with that he raised his knife to the boy's widened blue eye and began to cut, causing the boy to scream in terror while the crowd cheered.

Suddenly 6 Kunai whistled past Izumi causing him to stop dead in his tracks.

"Water Style: raging rapids!" A storm of water appeared knocking the man away from the boy who had passed out from the pain. Instantly, the Anbu team had appeared, all masked except for Kenta.

"Just what the fuck do you idiots think you're doing to this boy!" screamed Kenta, his sword drawn ready to fight.

"Why are you protecting him Oyashi?! He's a demon he deserves to die!" Izumi retorted.

Kakashi (known as Dog while on duty) bent down to check on the child who while unconscious was grasping at his right eye. Realizing who the child was, the son of his former teacher, Kakashi's blood lust raged, "You two" he directed pointing at two of the Anbu in his squad "take Naruto to the Hokage and summon a medical team to tend to his injuries at once!"

"Yes Captain!" the two said and vanished after scooping up the boy in a swirl of leaves.

"Dog, did you forget I'm the one in charge right now? Even if I am not a member of the ANBU I was put as team leader for the duration of the mission, which does not end until we report back" Kenta scolded

"Sorry sir" Dog said, being careful not to let his identity slip.

Turning their attention back to the villagers Kenta quickly wove some hand signs before shouting "Earth Style: Mud Ring!" surrounding the bloodthirsty villagers.

"What the hell Oyashi! You're supposed to be protecting us not killing us" yelled a villager

"I'm going to tell you all this once and in order to do that I need your undivided attention." Kenta said calmly trying to calm his bloodlust as well as his cousins. "If anyone ever tries to hurt that child, or any child in this village again the punishment will be death."

"But he's no ordinary child Kenta!" yelled Izumi

"You're the leader of this ragtag group I take it Izumi? And the one that potentially blinded a 5-year-old boy?"

"And I'd do it again and take his other eye! He deserves to die, he is the Nine-tails"

"You fucking idiot" Kenta said calmly yet still serious enough to scare even Kakashi.

"He's not the nine-tails, he's its jailer when a murder is put in prison do you blame the prison guards? No, it's the same thing here" some of the villagers began to protest but Kakashi drew his blade shutting them up with fear.

"I will tell you this just this one time" he began "If anyone lays a hand on Naruto Uzumaki again with malicious intent I will personally take the duty of killing you" He dropped the mud ring and told the people "Go home to your daily lives but never forget my warning"

As they began to leave Kenta spoke up once more "Except you Izumi, your coming with us to the Hokage Tower, you have somethings to answer for."
