Chapter 7: Vs. Roy and Wendy
(In a dungeon somewhere)
Mario, Luigi, and Marco woke up, but they were locked in a prison cell somewhere they don't know. The room was just as dark as the cell they were locked in, but to make matters worse, the three of them were tied up.
Mario- Shit! This is a really bind we found ourselves in.
Luigi- Hang on. I just realized Starlow and Loewy aren't here!
Marco- I see my father's sword also gone! ****! Don't tell me I've lost it again!
Loewy's voice- Don't worry, bro! I've got it!
Then they saw Loewy and Starlow rush up to the door to their cell.
Loewy- Finally, we found you guys.
Starlow- And it only took two hours of running around this place before we found which cell the Mario Brothers were locked in. I swear, Loewy, your sense of direction is just as bad as Luigi's.
Loewy- Uh…what's that supposed to mean?
Luigi- Hey! That wasn't funny, Starlow!
Marco- How about you just get us out of here?
Loewy- Sure thing, Marco!
Loewy cut off the lock with Marco's sword and then used that sword to cut the ropes off of Marco. After Marco was cut free, Loewy handed the sword back to Marco before he turned towards Mario and Luigi.
Marco- Mario, Luigi, stay still.
Then Marco swiped his sword and cut the ropes binding them as well without cutting Mario or Luigi.
Loewy- Marco…we also got another problem. Slicor Jr and his counterpart from this time took the book.
Marco- WHAT?!
Loewy- After you guys got knocked out by that cannonball, Slicor Jr. and Bowser Jr. swiped the book. However, rescuing you guys was more important than retrieving the book.
Mario- This is bad!
Luigi- Yeah! Without that magic time book, you and everyone else won't be able to return to your correct time and you'll be stuck in the future!
Marco- We'll worry about that later. For now, let's find out how to get the hell out of here. If those Koopa kids did take the book, I'm sure they would've brought it to their dads' castle.
Mario- Good point there, Marco. But where are we?
Starlow- An underground prison Bowser and Slicor constructed on an island east of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Loewy- We managed to follow those Koopa's to this location when they locked you up, but Starlow and I…kind of got lost, because it's not that easy trying to remain undetected. Which is why we had trouble figuring out which cell you guys were in.
Mario- But do you remember which way is out?
Then Loewy and Starlow put a nervous face on. Mario, Luigi, and Marco figured what they meant by that and Marco put his palm over his face.
(Castle Koopa)
Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr were standing in the throne with the magic time book.
Bowser Jr- All right, time to throw this book in the garbage!
Slicor Jr- Yeah! Then I'll never have to go home!
Bowser Jr- And then we can hang out and never be bored again! Ok, book, into the stinky garbage with you!
Slicor Jr- It's stinky garbage time! It's stinky garbage time!
However, the two just stared at the book for a few seconds before turning to look at each other again.
Bowser Jr- On second thought…let's keep this shitty ugly book. It might come in handy. Like if we get bored here, we could go terrorise your time.
Slicor Jr- Or even better, get those dumbass Mario Brothers out of our hair!
Bowser Jr- Let's go show this to our dads! I'll bet they'll get a kick out of this.
(Later in another part of the castle)
Bowser and Slicor were receiving a mission report from Kamek and Kaster.
Slicor Koopa- Gwahahaha! We've completely destroyed Marco and his crew!
Kamek- The plan is also proceeding nicely. The Toads are hard at work underground. They're working so hard, one might even characterize it as "toiling."
Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr (at the same time)- Daaad!
Bowser and Slicor turned around to face both their sons.
Bowser- What is it, Junior?
Bowser Jr- Dad! I'm your son. That's Slicor Jr you're talking to!
Bowser and Slicor looked at the two kids in confusion a bit.
Bowser- Jr- Anyway, look what we've got!
Bowser- Son, I'm busy right now. We can talk later.
Slicor Koopa- I want you to keep an eye on the princesses, son. Both from our time and this one.
Slicor Jr- Why me?! Standing around is the most boring job in the world!
Slicor Koopa- No one likes a whiner, junior.
Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr (at the same time)- We don't care! We don't wanna do it! We hate guard duty!
While Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr were jumping up and down while having a tantrum, Bowser and Slicor put their claw to their forehead.
Bowser- Oh man…this kid…
Slicor Koopa- What am I going to do with you, junior…
Then Kamek and Kaster approached Bowser and Slicor from behind.
Kamek- Why not send the young masters to the villa? The fresh air will do them some good.
Kaster- You have a villa?
Bowser- Yeah, in the tall snowy mountains.
Slicor Koopa- Funny, because I also have a villa there in my time. I'm guessing it's the same one but from a different time. Like how this IS my castle, but from a different time.
Then Bowser and Slicor turned their attention back to their sons who were still throwing a tantrum.
Slicor Koopa- Right, I almost forgot! We have a special surprise for the two of you! But if you want it, you'll have to go to the villa!
Slicor Jr- I like special surprises!
Bowser Jr- Ok Papa! We'll go to the villa!
(In another part of Castle Koopa)
Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst are still in the cage and they were planning out their next move.
Princess Peach- But won't it be obvious that we've escaped?
Princess Amethyst- Not with this!
Then Princess Amethyst pulls out a cardboard cutout of herself and shows it to Peach.
Princess Amethyst- A helpful Toad gave me this for a situation like this. It may no fool Slicor or Bowser, but it might fool the Jrs just long enough.
Princess Peach- But to tell you the truth, I'm so damn tired of being kidnapped. I mean, it's not all bad. I actually don't mind flying in the clown car. But…if I have to say "Save me, Mario!" one more time, I'm going to scream.
Princess Amethyst- I know what you mean. I can't tell you how many times I had to have Marco come and save me.
Bowser Jr's voice- Hey!
Princess Amethyst quickly hid the cardboard cutout before Bowser Jr. and Slicor Jr. approached the cage.
Slicor Jr- We're heading out to the villa now!
Bowser Jr- And so are you!
(Back in the underground dungeon)
After fighting their way through the dungeon against Bowser and Slicor's minions and freeing the Toads that were also locked up down there and forced to dig for some strange ore, Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow arrived at the entrance of the prison.
Starlow- Over there, guys! There's the warp pipe Loewy and I used to enter this place!
Luigi- Finally! Now we can get out of here.
Mario- And get back to rescuing the princesses from the Koopa's.
Loewy began rushing for the warp pipe, but Marco shouted something in response.
Marco- Loewy, you can't just rush off like that! What if it's a trap?
Loewy- I told you, Starlow and I took this path already to get in here. What could possibly…
Then Loewy was cut off when he bumped into Roy Koopa and fell to the ground. Standing next to Roy was Wendy Koopa.
Wendy- Well, well, well. I see we got a couple of Mario Brothers trying to escape. You could've just sat quietly in your cell like good little prisoners…but noooo, you had to escape and make us chase after you.
Mario- You should know us by now. We don't give up that easily.
Marco helped Loewy stand back up.
Marco- Same goes me and Loewy.
Roy- God damn it! It appears those Mario Brothers from the past are just as annoying and troublesome as the Mario Brothers from our time!
Wendy- I agree, but we can't let our guard down now that there's twice as many Mario's. Not to mention the ones from the past were the ones who defeated Tabuu 1,000 years ago.
Roy- Whatever! This is as far as they're getting!
Marco drew his sword while Mario, Luigi, and Loewy took a fighting stance. But then Roy turned around for a brief moment.
Roy- Hey, Larry! Come and help us subdue these prisoners!
However, no one came and Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy stood there in confusion.
Roy- HEY! LARRY!
Wendy- Where is he?
Roy- Probably off playing videogames of something.
Marco- Who are they trying to call?
Mario- Larry Koopa is one of the seven Koopalings like Wendy and Roy are. But I'm guessing he's not here right now.
Roy and Wendy turned around to face Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy.
Wendy- Shit! Do we have to do everything ourselves?!
Roy- It's ok. I don't think these four will put up much of a fight.
First, Wendy pulled out her magic wand and literally created these rings of energy that looked very similar to the rings from Sonic. Wendy launched them, but the four Mario Brothers managed to avoid them. Luigi and Loewy not only jumped over Wendy's energy rings, they also used their jumping skills to go up super high before landing a double jump attack on her and knocking Wendy to the ground.
Luigi- Wow! You can jump high!
Loewy- So could you! I never thought I'd meet someone who wasn't a flyer who could match me in the air!
Wendy got back up with a nasty bump on her head as she rubbed her injury while mumbling not nice things under her breath.
Roy- Let's see if you can stop this!
Then Roy lifts a very large bolder and throws it at Mario and Marco. Marco quickly drew his sword and swatted it back at Roy. Roy punched the bolder, but it shattered to pieces and one chunk of it hit Wendy on the head, adding another lump to her head.
Wendy- Roy…
Wendy's face got all red and saying she looked pissed would have been an understatement.
Roy- Hey…come on, sis…it was an accident…
Then Wendy jumped at Roy and a scrapheap could surrounded them. One part that was shown was Wendy slapping Roy in the face, another was Wendy clawing at Roy's face, and another of Wendy pulling on Roy's face. Eventually, Wendy threw Roy over her shoulder and Roy plopped to the ground.
Roy- You didn't have to hit so hard…(groan)…
Marco- Wow…that's something you don't see every day…
Starlow- I agree! You can't pay for entertainment like that! HAHAHAHAHA!
Roy got up and saw that Marco's sword didn't looked damaged at all from slashing against that giant bolder.
Roy- Wendy, I'm telling you, something not right about that sword Mario's ancestor is wielding! It just collided with a bolder twice the size of me and it doesn't have a scratch on it!
Wendy- Who cares! He's still going down along with the other Mario's!
Roy- But I think we need to divide these Mario's up! Fighting four instead of two has proven to be twice as hard!
Then Roy picks up another large bolder and throws it at the ceiling. After the impact, many of the stalactites to fall. This cut off Marco and Luigi from Mario and Loewy.
Marco- Loewy!
Luigi- Mario!
Roy- You should be more worried about yourselves!
Roy tried to punch Marco and Luigi, but they dodge.
Marco- Actually, I'm better in a fight than Loewy is.
Marco swung his sword at Roy, but Roy barely managed to duck in time. However, there was a large scratch carved into the back of his shell that went pretty deep.
Roy- That sword can't be normal. Must be the real reason why he beat Tabuu lead the original Super Mario Brothers' Team 1,000 years ago!
Marco- This was just a sword that was previously used by my father and that's really all you need to know about it.
Then Luigi landed a jump attack on Roy while he was distracted and that pissed Roy off.
Roy- Why you little…
Roy tried to grab Luigi, but Luigi jumped to avoid Roy. Surprisingly, Luigi hit a hidden question mark block that contained a fire flower.
Marco- A fire flower…perfect!
Marco quickly grabbed the fire flower, ate it, and transformed into Fire Marco. Then Fire Marco placed a fireball on his sword and fired the blade up.
Roy- What the **** are you doing?!
Fire Marco- You thought my father's sword was strong before…well, wait until you get a look at this…
Then Fire Marco made a flaming swing of his sword at Roy and it blasted Roy with all that fire until he collapsed to the ground.
Luigi- I didn't know you could combine the powerups with your sword like that.
Fire Marco- Not with all of them. I don't know how to combine it with the flying racoon tail.
Meanwhile, Mario and Loewy were shocked that the rocks separated them from Marco and Luigi.
Mario- Luigi!
Loewy- Marco!
Wendy- It's not them you should be concerned with. It's me!
Wendy spat out a fireball at them, but Mario and Loewy managed to dodge.
Loewy- You wouldn't happen to be hiding a sword crafted by the Lord of the Universe would you, Mario?
Mario- I thought I told you and Marco already that I don't have any weapon like that on me.
Loewy- Sorry…
Then Mario looked up and saw a stalactite just above Wendy.
Mario- Since your jumping skills are as good as Luigi's, think you can hit that with a Super Jump Punch?
Loewy- That I can do almost too easily if I wasn't trying to avoid her attacks.
Mario- Ok, I'll keep her busy.
Then Mario jumped up and tried to land a jump attack on Wendy. Wendy managed to dodge, and pull out her magic wand. Wendy fired more of those energy rings at Mario and Mario had a bit of difficulty managing to avoid.
Wendy- You can't dodge those rings forever!
Mario- Don't need to…
Before Wendy could figure out what Mario was trying to say, Loewy had hit the stalactite with a Super Jump Punch and caused it to fall on Wendy's head. Adding another lump to her head. Then Loewy landed a jump attack as he was landing.
Wendy- Damn it! Haven't I been hit in the head enough for one…
Then Mario landed a jump attack on her and Wendy made a goofy grin.
Wendy (in a silly tone)- Sleepy, sleepy…pretty baby…
Then Wendy collapsed to the ground.
Mario- Good teamwork there, Loewy.
Loewy- Thank you. Marco also comes up with brilliant ideas like that.
Then some of the large rocks separating them from Marco and Luigi were blasted away by Fire Marco's flaming sword swing and the four Mario Brothers could reunite.
Mario- Why is Marco's sword literally on fire?
Loewy- Marco sometimes combines his powerup abilities with his sword for an extra effect.
Then Wendy and Roy got back up, but they were still badly injured.
Wendy- Stupid Larry! If he had been here, there's no way we would've lost!
Marco- If I had a gold coin for every time I heard a villain make up an excuse every time I beat them…
Mario- Same here.
Roy- This isn't over, chumps!
Roy and Wendy left, leaving the warp pipe leading out available to use.
Starlow- Finally, now we can get out of here.
But before Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy could approach the pipe, a huge swarm of Toads that were also locked up down there rushed like crazy as they stampeded to the warp pipe while almost trampling over the four of them.
Loewy- Shit! That was close!
Luigi- I know they were all excited to get out of there, but they could've watched where they were going.
(Outside the dungeon)
When everyone got out of the dungeon, they saw they were on a deserted island.
Mario- Shit! We might've gotten out, but how are we going to get ourselves and all these Toads off this island?
Marco- We appear to be stranded.
Magolor's voice- Ahoy there matey!
When everyone looked at where the voice came from, they saw Magolor and Goombario standing on the Lor Star Cutter placed at the shore of the island.
Luigi- Goombario, Magolor?
Loewy- You know them?
Mario- They're friends of ours who also work for Kyrin.
Marco- Any friend of Kyrin is a friend of mine! But is Kyrin here as well. I think I have a few questions I'd like to ask.
Goombario- Sorry, but he's not with us. He has filled us in on what's happening, including the part that the Mario Brothers of the past are in this time period. Anyway, would you and the Toads like a lift back to Toad Town?
