Chapter 10: Vs. Ludwing and Larry

The members of the original Super Mario Brothers' Team were still searching the empty land that was the Mushroom Kingdom for any clue as to what happened to Marco and Loewy. Eventually, a white blur was dashing from the distance and stopped right in front of Icarus and Ihsoy, revealing it to be Chaos.
Icarus- Chaos, where have you been?! Why'd you rush off on us like that?!
Palutena (telepathically to Icarus)- Icarus, he's only been gone for 45 seconds.
Chaos- 45 seconds? That long? Damn it! I must be slipping!
Icarus- But where did you run off to, Chaos? To grab a chilidog?
Chaos- Actually, I was in Dark Land.
Ihsoy- Why hedgehog go there? That where big meanie, Koopa King, live.
Chaos- The thought that the entire Mushroom Kingdom and everyone in it disappearing being one of Slicor's attempts to take over the Mushroom Kingdom again crossed my mind and I thought I'd see if Slicor Koopa had anything to do with this.
Icarus- And…?
Chaos- We can rule out Slicor Koopa being responsible for this, because Dark Land and everyone in it has vanished too. Just like the Mushroom Kingdom.
Icarus- Shit…we're still not any closer to figuring out what happened to Marco and Loewy since we began and we've been searching for weeks!
Ihsoy- Ihsoy agree…
Palutena (telepathically to Icarus)- Actually, it's only been three days.
Meanwhile, Calmly's Pikachu was digging a hole in the ground and seemed really excited about it. Prince Calmly, Wolf, and Azra approached Pikachu.
Prince Calmly- What is it, Pikachu? You found something?
Pikachu- Pi Pikachu!
Then Pikachu dropped a skull into Azra's hand and she freaked out the second she realized it.
Azra- EW! EW! EW! YUCK! ICKY! GROSSNESS!
Wolf- It's just a bone, Azra.
Prince Calmly- Pikachu, why did you think we'd be interested in this human skull?
Pikachu points at a tombstone that read "Mariano Mario" on it.
Prince Calmly- Great…now we're grave robbers because we just dug up the grave of Marco and Loewy's father…
Wolf- Technically…he did find a Mario…
Prince Calmly- Wolf?! That was terrible! We just dug up dead man's grave! And I'm sure Marco will not be happy when he finds out about this!
Kimberly- Hey you guys! I think I have an idea as to what happened! Perhaps the Mushroom Kingdom was abducted by aliens.
Icarus- Uh…Kimberly…aren't you technically an alien?
Kimberly- I mean another alien race.
King Kong- And they say King Kong dumb one.
Simba- Kimberly, were you injected with that weird drug again? The one Hyness used to sedate you so he could drag you to your dad's fortress?
Kimberly- Simba, please don't bring up my dad again. I'd rather not be reminded of what happened when my dad came for me just as I'm sure you don't want to be reminded about what Tabuu did to your older brother.
Simba- …(sigh)…fair point there, Kim…
Chaos- Ok everyone, back with the search.
(Mount Brrr 1,000 years later)
Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow finally reached the top of Mount Brrr after a long mountain climb.
Loewy- Finally! Getting to this stupid Villa was a huge pain in the ass!
Marco- I was also surprised there were several Toads from our time lost in this snowy mountain.
Luigi- At least we could still call Magolor and Goombario to pick them up and ferry them to Peach's castle on the Lor Star Cutter.
Mario- I just hope Yoshi is ok. Still feel bad about how he took an attack for us.
Marco- I think Ihsoy took an attack for Loewy and me once back in our time.
Loewy- He did?
Marco- Remember when forces from that alien planet called Halcandra attacked the Mushroom Kingdom while searching for Kimberly?
Loewy- I thought Kimberly asked us never to bring up the God of the Void ever again. Then again, she's still in our time.
Starlow- I think I see the villa in view.
But as soon as they got to the villa, Bowser Jr, Slicor Jr, Kamek, and Kaster had already made their evacuation with the princesses. Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr in a mini version of their dads' clown car while Kamek and Kaster each riding a broomstick. Along with Peach tied up and on Kamek's broom while Princess Amethyst was stuck riding Kaster's broom.
Kamek- You're all too late!
Kaster- We informed the young masters about you four approaching the villa long enough for us to make our getaway!
Kamek and Kaster (at the same time)- NAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Slicor Jr- Let's go!
As they flew off with the princesses, Mario and Luigi tried to rush after them…only to realize there was no ground beneath them.
Luigi- Oh shit…
Mario and Luigi fell down from the cliff ledge.
Starlow- Mario! Luigi!
Loewy- This is bad!
Then Marco sees a few question mark blocks behind him next to the villa.
Marco- Let's hope we can get a powerup that can help from those!
As Mario and Luigi were falling from the cliff, Cape Marco flew in and managed to grab Mario by the hand.
Cape Mario- I gotta, Mario!
Mario- Thanks, Marco!
Luigi- Wait! What about me?!
Then Luigi felt a hand grab hold of his. When Luigi looked up, he saw an inflated version of Loewy with a "P" on his chest grab hold of him.
Balloon Loewy- Don't worry. I've got you!
After Cape Marco and Balloon Loewy brought Mario and Luigi down to the ground, Starlow approached them with a strange talesmen in her mouth.
Balloon Loewy- Marco, why did I have to grab the P-balloon? This inflation makes me look fat!
Cape Marco- You do remember that powerup is temporary.
Then Balloon Loewy changed back to normal Loewy and him and Luigi dropped into the snow with their legs sticking out of the ground. While Luigi and Loewy were getting themselves out of the snow, Starlow showed Mario and Cape Marco the talesmen in her mouth.
Starlow- I saw those Koopa brats drop this. It has Bowser's insignia on it.
Cape Marco- Now that you mention it, I think I saw this same insignia on a wall with a hole in in back on that prison on Twinsy Tropics.
Mario- You think this will lead us to Castle Koopa?
Starlow- Only one way to find out! Let's get back to the Shooting Star and return to the Twinsy Tropic dungeon!
(Later back at the Twinsy Tropic dungeon)
Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow arrived back in the prison and placed the talesmen with Bowser's insignia on it over in the hole in the wall. Suddenly, the wall opened up with a warp pipe attached to the wall was revealed.
Starlow- That must be the warp pipe to Bowser's castle.
Loewy- Good! Now we can rescue the princesses and then focus on getting the book back.
Luigi- Yeah, because I'm tired of us running around all over the place just to get to that damn castle.
As Luigi and Loewy rushed towards the warp pipe, Mario and Marco shouted out to them.
Mario- Luigi, Loewy, don't rush all of a sudden!
Marco- Yeah, there's no way Slicor or Bowser would make it that easy for us!
Unfortunately, they didn't listen and ended up getting knocked back out of the warp pipe by Ludwig and Larry Koopa.
Ludwig- Hold it right there!
Larry- Visitors beyond this point need a pass.
Luigi- Larry and Ludwig Koopa?
Loewy- You know these brutes?
Luigi- Two more of the Koopalings.
Ludwig- So this guy is supposed to be Mario's ancestor?
Larry- Actually, it's the guy in red with the fancy sword strapped to his hip. I'm sure you remember Roy and Kamek informing us about his unusual sword. But are you ready? It's time to get this party started for reals!
Ludwig- Ready when you are!
First, Larry and Ludwig retracted into their shells and then launched themselves at Mario and Luigi. Luckily, they managed to jump over the Koopalings' shells. But then Larry and Ludwig turned around and tried to attack Marco and Loewy from behind.
Starlow- Marco, Loewy, look out!
Thanks to Starlow's warning, Marco and Loewy jumped over Ludwig and Larry's attack just like Mario and Luigi did.
Larry- Damn that annoying sprite!
Ludwig- Guess we'll deal with her after we've disposed of these four Mario jerks!
Ludwig pulls out his magic want and fires a few magic attacks at Mario and Luigi. Mario and Luigi managed dodge the attack. Then Ludwig pointed his wand at Marco and Loewy and tried to cast a magic attack at them. Loewy jumped out of the way, but Marco drew his sword and knocked the magic attacks back at Ludwig. When the smoke cleared, Larry saw a frog with Ludwig's hair standing in his place.
Frog Ludwig- (Ribbit)
Larry- Uh…I better fix this…
Then Larry uses his magic wand to change Ludwig back into a Koopa instead of a frog.
Ludwig- Thanks, but there's definitely something not natural about that weapon Mario's ancestor uses! A normal sword wouldn't have deflected magic attacks back like that!
Larry- You mean it's made out of a strange material?
Ludwig- I'd say more along the lines of enchanted like that of the Master Sword used by that Hylian swordsman.
Larry- We're gonna have to do something about this!
Then Ludwig whistled and a bunch of Shy Guys appeared while carrying a large bomb. Luckily, Mario pulled out a boomerang flower and transformed into Boomerang Mario. With one toss he knocked down all the Shy Guys carrying the bomb on the left side of it and made it tip over towards Larry and Ludwig before it exploded.
Luigi- Nice shot there, Mario! Guess all that boomerang training with Ty really payed off.
Boomerang Mario- I guess so, Luigi.
Loewy- By the sound of it, your friend must be just as good as our friend, Simba is with a boomerang.
Marco- Yeah, that Tasmanian tiger was known for his aim and trick shots with his boomerang skills.
When the smoke cleared, Larry and Ludwig, as well at the Shy Guys carrying the bomb, were knocked to the ground.
Larry- Shit…
Ludwig- You're not as wimpy as you look…
Starlow- Whatever! We'll be passing through now!
Larry- Don't think you and those four Mario Brothers can just waltz right into Bowser's castle!
Then Larry and Ludwig managed to get up and flee.
Marco- Now that that's out of the way, let's proceed to getting the princesses back.
Loewy- And retrieving that book back so we can return to our own time.
Starlow- But let's proceed with caution. I have a feeling they'll be expecting us.
