Chapter 11: Face Off Against the Jrs

(Castle Koopa)

After their long journey trying to get there, Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow finally arrived at Castle Koopa. They emerged from the warp pipe they took in the previous chapter and saw the entrance to this large castle.

Starlow- We finally made it…

Loewy- Wow, and it doesn't look any different 1,000 years later.

Mario- On the outside maybe. But on the inside, it's loaded with technology that I'm sure didn't exist back then.

Marco- Anyway, our number one priority should be to get the princesses back from two Jrs.

(1,000 years ago)

The members of the original Super Mario Brothers' Team were still searching the empty land where the Mushroom Kingdom once stood to try and find out what happened to Marco and Loewy. Ho-Oh landed next to where Prince Calmly was standing and the bandage around Ho-Oh's wing became visible.

Prince Calmly- Ho-Oh, perhaps you should go back to the castle back in Kanto.

Ho-Oh- I'm fine…Master Calmly…

Prince Calmly- You haven't exactly fully recovered after you shielded me from Tabuu's Off-Wave during that battle on Shooting Star Summit. I'm just worried you might be pushing yourself before you've fully recovered, Ho-Oh. Whish is why I asked you to stay behind during the time when Slicor kidnapped Princess Amethyst for that Immortal Wedding Ritual or when Kimberly's father paid the Mushroom Kingdom a visit.

Ho-Oh- I know…but there's not fighting here…just…looking for the Mario Brothers…

Then Pikachu and Charizard rushed up to Prince Calmly.

Prince Calmly- Find any leads?

Pikachu and Charizard shook their heads. Meanwhile, Chaos using his psychic abilities to levitate a bone from the grave Pikachu dug up earlier.

Wolf- Chaos…what are you doing?

Chaos- I think I know of a spell that might help me track them, but I needed that has a trace of Marco and/or Loewy to follow. Hope Marco won't mind if I borrow a bone from his father's grave.

Chaos tried to cast his spell, but it didn't do anything.

Kimberly- Maybe you should try and transform, Chaos?

Icarus- Yeah, your powers do become much stronger when you absorb your god powers from those emeralds of yours.

Chaos- Fine…

Then the Chaos Emeralds surrounded Chaos before Chaos absorbed their power to transform into Super Chaos.

Super Chaos- Now let's try this again.

Super Chaos performed the same spell, but he did pick up something this time.

Super Chaos- That's odd…

Azra- You got something?!

Super Chaos- It's faint, but I think I picked up some signal from Marco and Loewy…however…it's almost as if they're currently in a different time period.

King Kong- Hedgehog mean like China?

Super Chaos- Time period! Not time zone, you idiot! Like they've been sent to the past or future in a manner of speaking.

Simba- Not really much to go one, mate.

Ihsoy- But least we know Mario's alive.

Super Chaos- But there's something else…I'm picking up two traces…like there are four of them instead of two where they are…

(Back at Castle Koopa 1,000 years later)

Bowser Jr was lying on the floor sleeping while Slicor Jr was looking out the window. Little were they aware was the cage Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst previously locked in was now occupied by two cardboard cutouts of them with speakers hidden underneath.

Princess Peach's voice- Save me, Mario!

Princess Amethyst's voice- Save me, Marco!

Slicor Jr- God damn it! I'm bored! This lookout duty is the worst! Where's the action?!

Bowser Jr just continued to snore and lay on the floor. Then Slicor Jr jumped to the door of the cage.

Slicor Jr- Hey you two, try escaping or something! I can't this anymore!

Princess Peach's voice- Mario, save me!

Slicor Jr- You can at least say something different once in a while. Yeesh! And anyway, neither Mario or Marco are coming! They're probably dangling over lava right now!

Princess Amethyst's voice- Marco, save me!

Princess Peach's voice- Mario, save me!

Slicor Jr- SHIT! Can't you princesses say anything else?! Stop saying that! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!

The speakers hidden behind the cardboard cut outs just kept saying the same thing over and over while Bowser Jr snored on the floor.

Slicor Jr- That's it! I'm going outside!

After Slicor Jr stormed outside, Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst peeked their heads from behind their hiding spot to see if the coast was clear.

Princess Amethyst- Now's our chance!

Princess Peach- Let's sneak out that window…

Princess Amethyst- Good idea…

A few minutes later, Bowser Jr began to stir a bit from his slumber while shivering a bit.

Bowser Jr- Brrr…Why's it so cold…?

The speakers hidden behind the cardboard cutouts of the princesses continued to say the same thing in the background. And little did he realize the window behind him was wide open.

(In another part of Castle Koopa)

Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow managed to reach the top of the castle.

Luigi- Shit! There were at least twice as many minions than when Mario and I usually storm Bowser's castle!

Loewy- Maybe that's because half of them are minions from our time.

Starlow- Double or even triple, that won't stop us!

Suddenly, they heard a familiar voice calling out to them.

Princess Peach's voice- Mario!

Princess Amethyst's voice- Marco!

When Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow looked, they saw Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst standing on a balcony near the roof they were walking on.

Luigi- The princesses escaped already?

Loewy- How did they even…

Mario- Doesn't matter! Let's just get them out of here before something bad happens!

Marco- Agreed. Let's-a-go!

Starlow- Wow…he really is related to Mario…

(Inside the castle)

Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow walked inside just as Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst walked inside from the balcony they were standing on earlier. Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst were about to approach them, but suddenly Slicor Jr dashed in on this Clown Car and swept them up. Slicor Jr threw them in a nearby closet which Bowser Jr closed and locked.

Bowser Jr- That was a dirty trick! Running away while I was sleeping like that! I'm gonna tell dad all about it, just you wait!

Then Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr turned around to face the four Mario Brothers behind them.

Slicor Jr- So, you think they're here to steal back that book, or just the princesses?

Bowser Jr- Probably both. But the book is OURS now! We're never giving it back!

Marco- This doesn't have to go like this, kids. You can just hand over the princesses and the book before things turn ugly.

Bowser Jr- Ha! Like we'd just give up like that!

Slicor Jr- You can't boss us around!

Starlow- Can to!

Bowser Jr- Nuh-uh! WE'RE the bosses!

Slicor Jr- You're not even a mini boss! You're just an angry bee!

Starlow- I'm not a BEE! I'm a Star Sprite you ****ing little…

Mario- Uh…Starlow…I think they're purposely trying to get you mad!

Then another Koopa Clown Car appeared and Bowser Jr jumped into it, making both Jrs using one. Then racecar wheels appeared on the Koopa Clown Cars as both Jrs raced towards the Mario Brothers! Mario and Luigi jumped over Bowser Jr, but when Marco drew his sword, Slicor Jr immediately shifted the Clown Car back into the air to avoid Marco's swing of his sword.

Bowser Jr- Hey buddy, is something wrong?

Slicor Jr- I've seen Papa and Marco fight enough times to know to steer clear of that fancy sword of his whenever I can! It was even strong enough to hurt this nasty god named Tabuu!

Bowser Jr- A sword that strong?

Slicor Jr- Best I know, it was crafted by some god who calls himself the Lord of the Universe of something. But I know to be careful when Marco has it out.

Bowser Jr- Best go long distance then.

Then Bowser Jr's Clown Car opened its mouth to reveal a large cannon inside.

Bowser Jr- Suck on this past and present Mario turds!

Then a bunch of Bob-bombs were launched from the cannon. Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy managed to avoid the explosions. Then Marco pulls out two fire flowers from his pockets.

Marco- Loewy, let's end this quickly with a combo fireball!

Marco eats the fire flower to turn into Fire Marco before tossing the other fire flower to Loewy. But just as Loewy was about to grab the fire flower, a Mechakoopa launched from Slicor Jr's Clown Car grabbed hold of Loewy's arm before self-destructing. This knocked Loewy to the ground and knocked the fire flower into the air. Luckily, Mario caught it and turned into Fire Mario.

Fire Mario- Marco, I know I don't have as much experience with that combined fireball, but I know how to perform it. You actually taught me in a dream of mine once.

Fire Marco- Uh…what now?

Fire Mario- I'll explain later.

Then Fire Mario and Fire Marco combined their fireballs to create one huge swirling red fireball at Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr.

Bowser Jr- What the **** is that?!

Slicor Jr- Oh shit! We're boned, buddy!

Then the fireball exploded and when the smoke cleared, Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr had collapsed to the ground and looking injured a bit. They had also dropped the book to the floor. But the fire thing Fire Mario, Luigi, Fire Marco, Loewy, and Starlow turned their attention to was Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst. Starlow unlocked the closet and let the princesses out.

Princess Peach- Thank you, Mario! I knew you and Luigi would come for us. And you must be Marco and Loewy. Amethyst has told me so much about you.

Mario- Actually, princess…Marco Mario is my ancestor…the same one that Kyrin and Tabuu keep talking about.

Princess Peach- Wait! You mean the same legendary hero who lead a team against Tabuu, stopped him from destroying our world, and banished Tabuu to Subspace?!

Marco- I really don't know if I deserve such high praise there. Yes, I lead my team to victory against Tabuu and saved everyone…but let me tell you…that fight was not as glamorous as however the history books might claim. It was not a pretty picture…

Loewy- Actually, that's an understatement! That battle against Tabuu on the peek of Shooting Star Summit still haunts me to this day! (Shivers)

Princess Amethyst- I told you before, you should still be proud about what you did that day. You saved everyone and I doubt the Mushroom Kingdom and its inhabitants wouldn't be around in this time period if it weren't for you. But I'm surprised Mario's your descendent. I guess that explains why he looks like you.

Marco- And why Kyrin chose him as my successor in this time period.

Suddenly, their happy moment was cut short when a familiar set of voices spoke out behind him.

Bowser and Slicor's voice (at the same time)- JUNIOR!
