Chapter 12: The NEO-Castle Koopa
Bowser and Slicor's voice (at the same time)- JUNIOR!
When Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, Princess Peach, Princess Amethyst, and Starlow turned around, they saw Bowser and Slicor entering the room.
Starlow- Oh ****…
Bowser- The princesses seem to have gone off for a stroll. Hostages aren't supposed to do that! And, I don't mean to just keep piling it on, but do you even SEE Mario over there?
Loewy- What are they even saying?
Princess Amethyst- I don't think they noticed you've beaten them up yet.
Starlow- All the more reason why we should get out of here before they do…
Then Bowser and Slicor walked up to Bowser Jr and Slicor Jr.
Bowser- I suppose it doesn't matter now. Slicor and I just finished the modifications to the castle. Huh…what's wrong with you? Why are you just lying there?
Slicor Koopa- It's not just your kid…it's my son too!
Then Bowser and Slicor turned to face Mario and Marco.
Bowser- Mario, what the **** did you do to my son?!
Slicor Koopa- This is a new low, even for you, Marco! Attacking my son like that!
Bowser Jr- Um…Dad…
Bowser- Junior, wake up! I have something to show you! Kamek!
Slicor Koopa- Kaster!
Bowser and Slicor (at the same time)- Fire the boosters, now!
Suddenly, the entire castle felt like it was rumbling like crazy.
Princess Amethyst- The whole place is shaking…
Marco- What's going on? Is the castle moving?
Slicor Koopa- You wish, Marco!
Then the entire castle lifted from the ground and took off into the air like a plane.
Loewy- The castle…is flying?!
Bowser- What do you think? I call it the NEO-Koopa Castle!
Slicor Koopa- I'll admit, I don't know much about this technology that is frequent in this time, but this just screams pure evil! GWAHAHAHAHA!
Bowser Jr- Dad…the book…
Bowser Jr was pointing towards the book on the floor near where Bowser and Slicor were standing.
Bowser- Shhh. You're delirious. That's just a piece of garbage on the carpet.
Slicor Jr- Don't let them get it…We need it…
Slicor Koopa- Son, you're talking nonsense. Are you sure you're ok? Why should I care about a stupid garbage book? Don't answer that! Just relax while daddy roasts Marco to a crisp.
Starlow- You know what? I think we shouldn't worry about the book for now!
Mario- Agreed! We need to get Peach and Amethyst out of here for now.
Marco- We'll come back for the book later.
(Outside the castle)
Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, Princess Peach, Princess Amethyst, and Starlow got outside, but the strong wind from outside and high altitude literally blew them off the catwalk on the roof they were on. Starlow managed to grab a ledge with her teeth while Mario and the others clung to her like a chain of monkeys.
Luigi- Maybe trying to escape while we're still airborne was not such a good idea…
Loewy- Uh…just keep holding on, Starlow…
Unfortunately, Kamek and Kaster flew up to them while riding their brooms. They pointed their wands at them and fired several magic attacks, but Starlow managed to shake the chain link of her friends to avoid the magic shots. Then Kamek flew up to Starlow's face.
Starlow- Grrr! Must…hand…on…
Kamek- My goodness. You know, looking closely, you have really great teeth.
Starlow- Oh, thanks! I do always remember to floss…whoops…
Because Starlow let go of the ledge her teeth were clinging too, Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, Princess Peach, Princess Amethyst, and Starlow fell from the NEO-Castle Koopa.
Kaster- They really were nice…
Kamek and Kaster (at the same time)- Nahahahahaha!
(In the skies just above the Mushroom Kingdom)
Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, Princess Peach, and Princess Amethyst were falling from the sky. It was almost like skydiving, but without a parachute.
Luigi- AHHH! Where's a flying powerup when you need one!
Princess Peach- Starlow, can't you do something?!
Starlow- I'm only strong enough to carry one of you at a time and there isn't enough time before you all crash to the ground!
Just as it seemed like things were going to get messy, Mario and Marco heard a familiar voice.
Kyrin's voice (in Mario and Marco's head)- Don't give up my friend. This fight is not over yet.
Mario and Marco (at the same time)- Kyrin…
Suddenly, four red stars appeared in front of them and turned the Mario Brothers into Ultra Mario, Ultra Luigi, Ultra Marco, and Ultra Loewy.
(Back at the NEO-Castle Koopa)
Kamek and Kaster saw Mario Brothers suddenly use the red star powerup to fly themselves and the princesses safely to the ground through a telescope.
Kamek- Bad news, Master Bowser. It seems Mario and the others got out of that mess.
Kaster- These red stars appeared out of nowhere and gave them one of their flying powers.
Bowser- Damn it! Must be that Kyrin again!
Slicor Koopa- Kyrin? He's still alive?
Bowser- You know this guy?
Slicor Koopa- He was a huge pain, always helping Marco and Loewy whenever he could. In fact, he was the one who gave Marco and Loewy their super powers. But last I heard…Kyrin was killed by his brother, Tabuu, after trying to protect Marco.
Bowser- Well hate to break it to you, but he's still alive and has been helping Mario and Luigi several times.
Slicor Koopa- Shit! What's next? You gonna tell me that Tabuu has broken free from his prison in Subspace?
Bowser- Thankfully, Tabuu has not. Yet, that bastard has still managed to cause a lot of problems even from his confinement.
Slicor- That's good that he's still locked up. I'd much rather fight Marco and Loewy than that monster.
Then Kamek and Kaster approached Bowser and Slicor.
Kamek- Master Bowser…a word in private…
Kaster- A word in private as well, Master Slicor…
Then Bowser and Kamek walked to the left side of the room.
Kamek- Master Bowser…I was thinking…perhaps Slicor Koopa has outgrown his usefulness…
Bowser- Yes. He does annoy me to no end. But he's also pretty strong. Nearly my equal!
Kamek- Well, sir. I did have an idea…it involves that book over there…
Meanwhile, Slicor and Kaster were having a chat on the right side of the room.
Kaster- Master Slicor…I was thinking…perhaps Bowser Koopa has outgrown his usefulness…
Slicor Koopa- Yes. He does annoy me to no end. But he's also pretty strong. Nearly my equal!
Kaster- Well, sir. I did have an idea…it involves that book over there…
(At Peach's castle)
Ultra Mario and Ultra Marco landed while holding Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst in their arms before gently setting them down. Ultra Luigi, Ultra Loewy, and Starlow landed shortly behind.
Ultra Luigi- Oh my ****ing god! That was a close one!
Princess Amethyst- But where did those red stars come from all of a sudden?
Ultra Marco- I guess even after a 1,000 years, Kyrin's still watching over us.
Ultra Mario- Wait…you heard Kyrin too?
Ultra Marco- Yeah…I did.
Ultra Luigi- Strange, because I didn't hear anyone talking to us.
Then Ultra Loewy began looking over his shoulder and acting all nervous.
Starlow- Uh…Loewy…what are you doing?
Ultra Loewy- Kyrin has a thing for…how do I put this…creeping up behind me when I least expect it and giving me a jump scare like he's trying to give me a heart attack.
Ultra Mario- But I have to say, the red star powerup does look good on you and Loewy.
Ultra Marco- Thanks. Same to you and Luigi.
Princess Peach- Mario…
Princess Amethyst- Marco…
Then both princesses were pointing at the NEO-Castle Koopa flying just above Toad Town.
Starlow- They caught up to us already?!
Ultra Mario- Bowser and Slicor really must want to test out their new castle.
Ultra Marco- I guess this must be the final battle. Our last chance to end this so we can all go back to our correct time period.
Ultra Loewy- But how are we going to get to them from way down here?
Ultra Mario- Are Goombario and Magolor still here in the castle?
