San Diego, CA
It is a humid morning in the city of San Diego, people are moving about through the morning rush hour, at a lavish home near Pacific Beach a woman dressed in a teal blue bathrobe is walking out of her house to grab the morning paper. She then heads back inside and heads into the kitchen, out of nowhere, the woman is attacked by a person wearing all black clothing, the attack leaves the woman bloody and bruised.

Quantico, VA
FBI Profiler, Jennifer Jaraeu comes into the BAU in a solemn mood, her off and on again boyfriend, Rick Bronson had abruptly broken up with the blonde Agent and cancelled their engagement before abruptly moving to Topeka, Kansas leaving JJ heartbroken.
JJ could do her job exceptionally well, she didn't let her personal life affect her at work. Emily and the others could see how this breakup was changing JJ, and not in a good way.
JJ dove into her work, blocking out all other distractions. Over the next two and a half months, JJ and the team are able to clear a dozen cases. One day, Hotch calls JJ into his office.
"Yes Hotch?" JJ said.
