Chapter 15: Heroes of The Past and Future…UNITE
Marco- Any more of your minions you'd like to send to waist our time or are you two retarded reptiles finally ready to face us?
Then both Bowser and Slicor approached the four Mario Brothers.
Slicor Koopa- You asked for it, Marco! It's your funeral!
Bowser- He's right! Now…you face double the might of the Koopa King!
Bowser and Slicor (at the same time)- GWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Mario, Luigi, and Loewy took a fighting stance while Marco readied his sword.
Slicor Koopa- You Mario's think you're so tough. But now we'll have to crush you assholes ourselves!
Bowser- Yes, your stubbornness is extremely annoying! But at least we've had plenty of time to come up with a plan.
Marco- Since when do you ever come up with a plan by yourself, Slicor? You always have Kaster to that work for you.
Bowser- Oh yeah…
Then Bowser pulls out the magic book and shows it to the Mario Brothers.
Slicor Koopa- First, we're going to beat you! Then we're gonna trap you in the book! And then we're gonna throw the book in the garbage…AND LIGHT THE GARBAGE ON FIRE! BWAHAHA!
Bowser- That way, we'll never have to see your stupid mustaches ever again…
Then Bowser casually tosses the book behind him.
Bowser- And the Mushroom Kingdom will be MINE!
Slicor Koopa- I sure hope you meant OURS just then!
Bowser- I meant what I said! You got a problem with that?
Slicor Koopa- You bet I do! I'm taking over this world!
Starlow- Not if we can help it!
Mario- Because you still have us to deal with!
Marco- All four of us!
Bowser- Bah! We'll have to settle this later. Right now, we need to stomp these Mario pests!
Slicor Koopa- Fine! Just don't get in my way! So, Marco and Loewy…
Bowser- And Mario and Luigi…
Bowser and Slicor (at the same time)- LET'S DO THIS!
Bowser and Slicor started by spitting out their fire breath at the Mario Brothers. Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy managed to jump over the fire, but Bowser saw an opportunity to launch a fireball at Loewy while he was wide open. Luckily, Marco jumped in and blocked the flames with his sword.
Slicor Koopa- That fancy sword of yours won't protect you this time, Marco. Because we're about to take a play from your book this time! Bowser, now!
Then Bowser and Slicor launched their flame breath at the same time and combined them into one huge fireball. Marco tried to block with his sword, but the force of the fireball knocked Marco to the ground.
Slicor Koopa- GWAHAHAHAHAHA! I can't tell you how long I've waited to see you get knocked on your ass like that, Marco. After all, you showed me that combining fire power can be very effective with all the times you and Loewy kept shooting those combined fireballs at me!
Mario's voice- I wouldn't get too cocky if I were you, Slicor.
Before Slicor could realize it, Mario had gotten behind Slicor and grabbed hold of his tail. Bowser was about to try and attack Mario, but Luigi and Loewy had gotten up to his chest and each hit him with a perfectly timed Super Jump Punch to the chest, knocking Bowser to the ground. Then Mario spun Slicor around like he does with Bowser and threw Slicor into the air. Then Marco got himself back up, jumped up, and swung his sword at Slicor and knocked him to the ground.
Slicor Koopa- Why you little…
Slicor smacked his tail against the ground and made some of the rock debris nearby jump into the air. Then Slicor smacked his tail at the rocks and hurled them at Marco. Marco sliced the rocks apart with his sword, but Slicor attempted to jump from his blindside. However, Ice Mario and Ice Luigi pelted Slicor in the face with several ice balls and blinded Slicor a bit. Then Ice Mario punched Slicor in the face and knocked him back a bit. Bowser tried to swing his claws and Ice Mario and Ice Luigi from behind, but Marco blocked Bowser's claws swipes with his sword.
Bowser- That sword won't hold me back when I smash it to pieces!
Bowser tried to crush the sword in his grip, but Bowser ended up cutting his claw instead.
Bowser- GWHAAA!
Marco- Surely, Slicor must've warned you that this is no ordinary blade.
Then Fire Loewy jumped up to Bowser's face and blasted him the face with a fully charged fireball. Bowser held onto his face and stumbled backwards. Fire Loewy tossed Marco a fire flower as well so Marco could turn into Fire Marco. Fire Marco used a fireball to fire charge his sword as he hit Bowser with a fire swing of his sword. This knocked Bowser into Slicor and they both fell to the ground. As Bowser and Slicor struggled to get up, they saw Ice Mario and Fire Marco hit them both in the face with a jump attack. This knocked them further across the floor, but it also knocked the two Koopa Kings into the book and it opened up. Suddenly, a strange energy was administrated from the book after it opened up.
Ice Mario- What the hell?!
Fire Loewy- What the heck is going on?!
Starlow- It appears the magic that brought you and everyone from your time to this has been released again! Except it seems like it's somehow gotten more unstable then when it was last opened!
Then Bowser and Slicor absorbed that energy that was coming out of the books and their bodies began to change. When the light faded, Bowser and Slicor had transformed into Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor.
Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor (at the same time)- (ROAR)
Fire Loewy- Marco…I think I need a change in pants…
Ice Luigi- This is not looking good for us…
Fire Marco- Even so, I still have to defeat them so that everyone from my time can return home.
Fire Marco fired up his sword again and made another flaming swing of his sword at them. But Giga Slicor swatted it away with one swipe of his claw. Then Giga Slicor swung his tail at them and with much faster speed than before. Ice Mario, Ice Luigi, Fire Marco, and Fire Loewy dodged it, but the shockwave caused when the tail hit the ground actually stunned them in motion and couldn't move while their bodies were still vibrating. Then Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor blasted them with their flame breath and knocked them to the ground. Ice Mario and Ice Luigi changed back to normal and so did Fire Marco and Fire Loewy. But despite these sever injuries, Mario and Marco attempted to raise back to their feet.
Mario- No…not yet…I can still fight…
Marco- As long as I can still find hope…I will never fall to you Koopa's…
Starlow- I think I see it now…Mario and Marco really are alike…how they both never lose their hope and still find the will to fight even under the worst of situation…but how can we get out of this mess…?
(1,000 years ago)
Ihsoy, King Kong, Wolf, Kimberly, Prince Calmly and his Poke'mon, Chaos, Simba, Icarus, and Azra were still searching the Mushroom Kingdom for any clues as to what happened to Marco and Loewy.
Chaos- Still nothing. Can't believe after a week of searching, we still haven't found any leads to what happened to the entire Mushroom Kingdom!
Ihsoy- And Marco and Loewy still lost…(sniffle)…Ihsoy miss so much!
Azra- Wish Marco was here to give one of his motivational speeches to give us all hope like he usually does which gave us the inspiration to fend off Tabuu.
Wolf- One whole week…it actually makes me wonder if Marco and Loewy are even still alive…
Then Kimberly slapped Wolf in the face.
Kimberly- Don't you dare say that, Wolf! Marco and Loewy are still alive! I know it!
Prince Calmly- I'd like to believe our leader is still out there too, but it's hard to still believe that when we've literally got nothing to go on and for this long without making any progress.
Kyrin's voice- You should've listened to Marco more, Calmly. He said never to give up until the very end.
The members of the original Super Mario Brothers' Team turned around and saw Kyrin standing behind them. However, Kyrin didn't have that mechanical arm to replace the one Tabuu tore off yet and the scars on his face still looked fresh. Kyrin was also holding a book in his hand, the book that brought the Mushroom Kingdom into the future.
Icarus- Kyrin?
Simba- About time you showed up, mate. Marco and Loewy along with the entire Mushroom Kingdom…
Kyrin- I already know, Simba. But right now, I have something important to show you…
Then Kyrin opened the book and everyone saw pictures of Marco and Loewy in the Mushroom Kingdom 1,000 years from now.
King Kong- Marco! Loewy!
Prince Calmly- So…they're alright?
Kyrin- Sort of…
Then Kyrin turns a page and it shows a picture of Marco and Loewy with Mario and Luigi.
Azra- Hey…who are those two with Marco and Loewy?
Chaos- They almost look like the Mario Brothers for some reason.
Ihsoy moves his nose near the book and takes a whiff.
Ihsoy- They no just look like Marco and Loewy…they smell like Mario and Loewy too!
Kimberly- Kyrin…what exactly is going on?
Kyrin- Afraid there's no time to explain…
Kyrin turns the page again and shows Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy in a tight situation against Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor.
Kyrin- If you want to help Marco and Loewy, I need you to put your power into this book so it can reach them and help them in the situation they're currently in.
King Kong- If help Marco and Loewy, King Kong help!
(Back at the NEO-Castle Koopa 1,000 years later)
Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy were still struggling to get back up while Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor were moving in to finish them off. Suddenly, the book opened up again and a more positive energy was released from the book.
Loewy- What's going on now?
Mario- Hold on…this doesn't seem like before…
Marco- You're right…it actually feels…familiar…
Suddenly, Mario, Luigi, Marco, and Loewy saw an image from the book. It didn't last very long, but they saw Ihsoy, King Kong, Wolf, Kimberly, Prince Calmly, Chaos, Simba, Icarus, and Azra placing their energy into the book from Marco and Loewy's time.
Mario- Wait…who were…
Marco- My team.
Luigi- That was your team? Wow! They really do resemble some friends of ours from our time!
Loewy- Hey…I think I feel my strength returning to me! Like I was never hurt at all!
Marco- I'm feeling that too, Loewy!
Marco looked at the image of his team from the book one more time before it disappeared.
Marco- Thanks you guys! Even when we're in different time periods, I can always count on you!
Suddenly, four red stars appeared and the Mario Brothers each took one. Transforming them into Ultra Mario, Ultra Luigi, Ultra Marco, and Ultra Loewy.
Ultra Luigi- Ultra powered…now that's what I'm talking about!
Ultra Loewy- I agree! I love the red star powerup!
Ultra Marco- Now let's finish this and get that book back!
Ultra Mario- Right behind you!
Giga Bowser swung his claw at Ultra Mario, but Ultra Marco blocked with his sword and knocked Giga Bowser backwards a bit. Giga Slicor spat out a fireball, but Ultra Mario fired a fully charged white fireball that blew away Giga Slicor's flame. Then Ultra Luigi hit Giga Bowser in the face with a perfectly timed Super Jump Punch and knocked him back a bit while Ultra Loewy hit Giga Slicor with a jump attack. The two giga formed Koopa Kings collided into each other and collapsed to the ground.
Ultra Mario- Marco, I believe this is our change to finally finish this!
Ultra Marco- Very well, Mario! Let's end this!
Then Ultra Mario, Ultra Luigi, Ultra Marco, and Ultra Loewy combined their fireballs into one swirling fireball. Similar to how Marco and Loewy combine their fireballs, but with four fireballs instead of two. They launched an enormous white swirling fireball at Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor that caused an explosion just as big as the fireball. The force of the explosion reverted Giga Bowser and Giga Slicor back to their normal selves, but it surprisingly blew Bowser off the roof of the NEO-Castle Koopa. Sure not gonna be pleasant when he lands all the way to the ground. Meanwhile, Slicor was lying on the ground and struggled get back up.
Slicor Koopa- Must…protect…book…
Slicor tried to reach for the book, but Ultra Marco grabbed it first.
Ultra Marco- No way, Slicor! I'm afraid you're going home right now!
Then Ultra Marco opened the book and it began sucking Slicor Koopa inside of it.
Slicor Koopa- NO! I won't go back! You can't…make me! You can't do this to me, Marco!
The lower half of Slicor's body was pulled into the book, yet Slicor was still struggling to resist being pulled into the book.
Slicor Koopa- The Mushroom Kingdom was going to be mine! You'll pay for this back in our time, Marco!
Then Slicor was completely sucked into the book. At first, the book jumped around like a bouncy ball. Ultra Mario, Ultra Luigi, Ultra Marco, and Ultra Loewy grabbed hold of the book to keep it closed until the book finally stopped jumping.
Starlow- Did we do it?
Ultra Marco- Yes…Slicor is back in the past where he belongs. Now we just need to do the same with everyone else from our time.
(Later at Peach's castle)
Mario, Luigi, Marco, Loewy, and Starlow returned to the castle with the magic book in Mario's hand. There, Princess Peach, Princess Amethyst, and a bunch of Toads from the past and present were there waiting for them.
Princess Peach- Mario!
Princess Amethyst- Marco! Thank goodness you're all safe!
Princess Peach- We were all so worried…
Mario- Nothing to worry about with us on the job.
Marco- Wasn't easy, but we managed to round up Slicor, Kaster, Slicor Jr, and all of Slicor's minons that also came to this time period and cram them all into this book. Now they've returned to the past.
Loewy- But how are we going to send ourselves and all these Toads back to our time?
Luigi- I don't think they'll like being crammed and stuffed in like Slicor's minions were.
Then a familiar face appeared directly behind Luigi and Loewy.
Kyrin- Luckily, there is a better way.
Then Luigi and Loewy jumped in panic and grabbed hold of a nearby drape in the castle.
Luigi- Damn it, Kyrin! How many times do I have to tell you I hate it went you sneak up on me like that!
Loewy- Yeah! You're gonna give me a ****ing heart attack one of these days and…wait…Kyrin?!
Kyrin- It's good to see you too, Loewy.
Loewy- Wow…even after a 1,000 years, you're still pulling off that gag.
Kyrin- What can I say, it never gets old.
Then Kyrin noticed Marco standing in front of him.
Marco- Kyrin…
Kyrin- Marco…good to see you again, my old friend. Been a 1,000 years since I last saw you.
Loewy- But didn't we just see you the day before this incident began.
Kyrin- That's because I'm the Kyrin from this time period. I'm sure the Kyrin from your time is still recovering from what Tabuu did to me all those years ago.
Then Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst helped Luigi and Loewy get back down from the drape they claimed after Kyrin surprised them.
Mario- Well, asides from seeing your old friend, Marco, after a 1,000 years, what else bring you here?
Kyrin- Well, someone has to send Marco and the others back to their correct time.
(Later)
Kyrin was creating a portal to the past from the book and making it large enough for everyone to cross all at once. While they were waiting on Kyrin, Mario and Marco shook hands.
Mario- Thanks for all you've done for us, Marco. I can see why Kyrin always talks about you.
Marco- And I can why Kyrin chose you as my successor.
Then Mario and Marco hear Luigi and Loewy crying. Then they turned to look at them, they say Luigi and Loewy hugging each other while they were crying like a sprinkler.
Luigi- I'm gonna miss you, man!
Loewy- Me too!
Then Luigi and Loewy began crying like babies while still hugging each other. Mario and Marco almost chuckled a bit after seeing that.
Starlow- What crybabies…
Princess Peach and Princess Amethyst were also saying they're goodbyes.
Princess Peach- This is making me sad…
Princess Amethyst- Me too. But I need to head back to my time before Slicor starts causing trouble again. Besides, we don't want to cause any more damage to your time than we already have.
Mario- By the way, Marco. I need to ask a favor from you. It might be best if you and everyone else keep this adventure a secret. News of the future could alter the past and we don't want that happening.
Marco- I suppose not. But Mario…I'd like to ask a favor from you as well…
Mario- Yes…
Marco- Promise me that you and your friend will one day defeat Tabuu…permanently one day.
Mario- What?
Marco- Let's face it…you're in this mess because I couldn't dispose of Tabuu…only get him banished into Subspace. Now you and your friends are stuck with my mess. And if you don't find a way to resolve Tabuu for good…you'll just be leaving another generation later on to be forced to deal Tabuu after you.
Mario- To be honest…I don't know how I can…but…sure Marco, I'll find a way to put an end to Tabuu once and for all someday!
Marco- Thank you, Mario.
Kyrin- If you're done saying your goodbyes, the portal is now ready. So everyone can return to the Mushroom Kingdom 1,000 years ago.
Princess Amethyst- I guess this is goodbye.
Princess Peach- It has been crazy…but also pretty fun.
Princess Amethyst- Thank you, Princess Peach.
Then Marco, Loewy, Princess Amethyst, and all the Toads from the past walked into the time portal Kyrin had created. But just before the portal closed, Marco turned around to face Mario one last time and gave him a thumbs up right before the portal closed and everyone returned to their correct time period.
Mario- Marco Mario…he truly was a hero worthy of the legend.
Princess Peach- And I can see where you picked up heroic spirit from. You should be proud that he's your ancestor.
Mario- You're right…I am proud.
Starlow- But what are we going to do with this book?
Kyrin- I should bring it to my father. He might know what should be done since I don't know what to do if something like this should happen again.
(The Mushroom Kingdom 1,000 years ago)
Right after the members of the original Super Mario Brothers' Team put their energy into the book, the book suddenly began to light up.
Simba- Is it working?
Chaos- I don't know…
Suddenly, all the Toads and building and everything that vanish erupted from the book. Similar to what happened at the beginning of this fanfiction. Eventually, Marco, Loewy, and Princess Amethyst returned to their correct time.
Loewy- Marco…are we finally back?
Marco- Yes, Loewy! We're back in the time period we belong in.
Ihsoy- Mario's!
Then Marco and Loewy saw Ihsoy, King Kong, Wolf, Kimberly, Prince Calmly, Chaos, Simba, Icarus, and Azra rushing towards them.
Marco- Hey guys.
Wolf- You and the Mushroom Kingdom are finally back!
King Kong- King Kong miss so much!
Marco- It's good to see you too, King Kong.
Chaos- Well, don't just keep us in suspense. Where did you all go? What happened to the Mushroom Kingdom during this week you've been gone?
Marco- Uh…
Marco looked at Loewy and Princess Amethyst who lightly shook their heads.
Marco- Sorry everyone. But we promised we wouldn't go into detail about it.
Of course, Marco's team weren't exactly happy at Marco's response.
Simba- Seriously, mate?!
Prince Calmly- Oh, come on!
Kimberly- We were worried sick about you and this is all you're gonna tell us after you and the entire Mushroom Kingdom suddenly vanished without a trace for seven days?!
Marco- I can tell you this much. Loewy and I got a peek at the future. And it is a bright one.
The End
