Haru falls in love at 19 in the summer.
While summer romances are not uncommon and very much, in fact, cliché, Haru doesn't mind it very much. Because the thing that makes her summer romance different from that of other people was the person she fell in love with: Hibari Kyoya.
It is the first week of summer vacation and already, Haru is bored. A majority of her friends are out of town on vacation. Tsuna is in Italy upon Reborn's insistence-more like force-to train under the Vongola Nono and Gokudera, who couldn't bear be far from his beloved Juudiame, follows suit. Because Reborn was going to Italy, Bianchi came along as well, much to the chagrin of her younger brother. Both Yamamoto and Ryohei are away to baseball camp and boxing camp respectfully whereas Kyoko and her parents are on vacation to some country Haru couldn't bother remembering. Even though the brunette still has Lambo, I-pin, and Fuuta to play with, she finds that it would be much nicer to be around the company of a person around her age.
Hibari Kyoya ends up being the perfect person.
They met when Haru is walking home after a long day at the mall with two of her classmates from school. She passes by Nami Chuu and starts to reminisce about all of the memories that she's had with her life-long friends when she looks up and finds a familiar presence lounging about the rooftop of the middle school; Hibari. Against her better judgement, Haru cups her hands together and calls out his name. When she is sure that she has got his attention, she waves and continues on her way.
By then, it turns into a routine; she'd pass by Nami Chuu and spot Hibari lounging atop of the roof, no matter what time she came and would greet him before heading in the direction of wherever she is going. By the tenth time or so that she passes by the school, Haru is greatly surprised to find Hibari standing in front of the school doors and not napping on the rooftop. The younger female is about to open her mouth to question so, the male interrupts her.
"Come with me." Is he says as he takes hold of her wrist and leads her away from the school and into the unknown.
They end up going to a small and cute candy shop that Haru's never seen before and they spend the rest of the day sharing the sweets they bought under the shade of a large tree and dozing off lightly as the wind lulls them gently to sleep. By the time she wakes up, he is nowhere to be found and she muses on her way home if that could be considered as her first date.
The next day and the day after that and so forth follow in a similar pattern; the brunette female would meet up with the raven-haired male at the school's entrance before he would lead her to wherever he had planned to do that day. Hibari doesn't talk too much and Haru finds that she doesn't it very much, as her father once told her that it is better to be silent than fill up the air with meaningless talk.
And by the eighth 'date' or so, Haru finds herself falling in love with Hibari. She intends to tell him.
On their ninth 'date', they return back to the small candy shop he first took her on their first 'date' and she finds that she could hardly keep herself from shaking as she holds onto the bag as he drops candy after candy into it. After paying-Hibari was a fighting machine but he is still very much a gentleman so he pays for their candy-they come back to that same tree and out of instinct, Haru starts to pull the grass out from underneath her.
"H-Haru thinks she l-likes you, Kyoya-kun." She blurts out and before the reality of what she had said could hit her, she finds a pair of plush lips onto hers, kissing her hard.
"Hmph." Is all that the raven-haired male grunts back in response and Haru thinks she feels a small smirk play on his lips as he continues kissing her.
Haru falls in love at 19 in the summer and she intends on staying in love with Hibari Kyoya even when the seasons continue to change.

(6/1/20): Hello and welcome to Haru's Haru Haru Summer Playlist: Dangerous! This is essentially a collection of Haru x Anyone songfic drabbles based on my favorite summer songs - I enjoy listening to K-Pop or Korean pop songs the most so I apologize that all of the songs I chose are K-Pop! I will be updating once every 2 weeks until the end of August. While I know that summer doesn't end until the end of September or so, I will be busy with life once September starts, so I considered that the end of August will work out for me. Anyways, this song is one of my favorite summer songs and no, this song does not belong to me; it belongs to Red Velvet and SM Entertainment. Because the song is in Korean, this is the English translation to the song and I got the lyrics off of colorcodedlyrics so I apologize if anything got lost in translation. However, the song does have a Japanese version to it, which is AMAZING, and if you want an English cover to the song, EmilyDimes on YouTube does a spectacular job on covering it!
