Author's note:
Almost chapter 10! Three more to go! I've edited that part when Jack enter somewhat place to see his forgotten memory as a golden bear wears a purple top hat and bowtie just to make the bear looked more like Fredbear (at least that's what G.Freddy was).
Anyways, new chapter is here!
Chapter 7
To Live, As Another Person
Golden Freddy leaned himself at the wall. The room itself was so dark that the only light source are the lights that came from under the heavy metal door. *sigh* , the golden bear isn't bored, he's alone. Hearing the kids and his friends outside having fun makes him remembered his past, but not the past he wanted to remember.
A year after The Accident...
Fredbear, now sitting inside a room, his friend Spring Bonnie has been separated from him, dismantled, deactivated, forgotten. At least that's what he had thought. As for Fredbear, nobody (for adults) didn't know it was him, the one that bit the boy's head. The kids that had witnessed the situation have went silent, some told their parents, but nobody believed them, they believed that an animatronic wouldn't do such a thing. Fredbear didn't know what happened to the boy, but from look of the injury that the boy got, he mostly would have dead. Even he "escaped" the situation, he stills weighed the guilt on himself, that heaviness didn't come from his massive metallic body, it was the guilt itself. And now, he have to pay for what he did. Eternal Prison. He was all alone in that room, nobody hasn't opened the door since then. He was all alone, he was all desolated, but he accepted it, he accepted his fate, his crime, his guilt, his Eternal Prison. He couldn't cry, if he can, he would've cry, cry until there was no tears left for him to cry. And now, he's just sat there, waiting to be rotten, waiting to be deactivated, waiting to be dismantled, waiting to be forgotten, waiting to be dead.
No hope.
No crying.
Nobody.
No nothing.
Days by days, weeks by weeks, months by months, and it's almost a year since his Eternal Prison. Fredbear, still sitting in the room, he still had conscious. Outside the room, he could hear somewhat a conversation between two people.
"So, what are you gonna do to this place?", a voice said. It was a man.
"Hm, since this place have taken lots of backlashes, I think we should demolish this place.", another voice said. It was another man.
"Yeah, I was having a plan in building another pizzeria. What do you think?".
"Are you sure about that? I mean another place as same as this?".
"Heh, don't worry, the security will be much more secured than this place.".
Fredbear stood near the door, eavesdropping the conversation, They're going demolish this place? Well since it's a cursed place, I won't mind anyways. Thought Fredbear. Then he sat down, finally he can go on with his guilt. The guilt's heaviness would pulled him down to Hell, the place that he wanted and should've been. He didn't deserve an apology, he didn't deserve a forgiven, he didn't deserve God's tolerance, he didn't deserve anything, and he knew it.
"Hey, what about the golden bear? It's still here right?".
This made Fredbear jumped, he knew that they were talking about him. He didn't know what they're going to do to him, he just hoped that they'll just dismantled him for parts salvage and let him go on. But that's not the case.
"Fredbear you mean? Well he is this here inside one of the room. What do want to do with him?".
"I think... I'm gonna rebuilt him...".
Those words the man just said made Fredbear nervous and confused. Poor bear, he couldn't just simply gave up, cause if he committed things such as deactivated himself, that would be considered him hiding from his guilt. Now he will be rebuilt, What are they gonna do to me? Fredbear thought, what he was experiencing now is nothing but fear. He feared that they'll make him perform on the stage again, he feared that he would make the same mistake again, he feared that another child would die again. Why? Why can't they just leave me be!
"You sure about that? That bear got some backlashes from the kids that witnessed The Accident. You still wanna rebuilt it?".
"Heh, you believed those kid? Grown up man! Never believe childish excuses."
They didn't know it was me? Fredbear, clenched his fist shakingly, he's now more guilty than he ever was. Why...why couldn't I just die already! That poor kid, he couldn't even live anymore, just because of me! And now, they thought that was simply just an accident!? Anger, guilt, hatred, those feelings overcome is his emotions, but he tried to hold back, he tried and he tried.
Fredbear, now woke up in another place, a place that was unfamiliar to him. Around him was nothing but darkness, only a few light can be seen under a heavy metal door. How long have I been unconscious? Fredbear thought to himself. He looked around, rubbing his hand along the wall to find some kind of switch that could turn on a light. *click* a sound of a switch has just turned on the light bulb in the middle of the room. As he looked around, there were old wooden shelves hanging on the wall, there were buckets of paint, old enough to see the paints dried densely on itself, a golden paint. There were also some tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, nails, pilers, what did they do to him? There were also dark stain in the corner of the walls, it seemed like this place was built long ago, or it hadn't been cleaned for a while now.
"Where am I?", muttered Fredbear, he stood there confusedly with nervous looking empty eyes, only to have white dots glowing inside. He didn't noticed of course, without a mirror. Talking about mirror, there was one standing next to him. Just a moment Fredbear took a glance at the mirror, at first, he was completely frozed, as if someone was standing next to him. But seconds later, he realised that it was nobody, but him.
What the f...?!, Fredbear stunned by the appearance, his appearance. His hands touched the goldish colour on his face, as if tested that if this was his body. They didn't rebuilt him, they fixed him, they repainted him, they have repaired the animatronic that once, killed a boy. That's why he's still in this body, that's why he's still here, still trapped in this cursed body, that weighed the guilt he had carried for years. Maybe, maybe this IS Eternal Prison, to be trapped in this body for eternity. God's didn't sympathize him, Satan didn't evaporate him, he was in the between. Maybe, just maybe...
Fredbear opened the heavy metal door, it screeched all the way open, he scared if the sound would alert someone. Outside a large hallway can be seen, which led to a bigger room. As Fredbear walked, his giant foot let out a not so big thump, maybe it because a was a giant animatronic bear, or maybe it because the guilt that he still weighed. A few steps later, they was another hallway on the right side. Fredbear narrowed his eyes, there was lighting at the end of the hall, someone, someone was sitting there. A security guard? Fredbear thought, Let's not disturb him the-. Before he could finish his thought, a flickered of flashlight shine through the hall, the light particles passed through the bear's metal body. The night guard saw him.
"Shit!", muttered Fredbear, then he ran straight to the big room in front of him, letting out big thumping as the foot stomped heavily onto the black and white floor. Why are you so careless Fredbear? Fuc-. Just before he could thought, Fredbear stopped in a sudden, shocked of what he had seen in front of him. Since his performing career, he and his friend, Spring Bonnie, are the only animatronics in the town, the only animatronics he knew of. He thought he and Spring Bonnie were the only one, for some reason, trapped inside these cursed metallic animal bodies.
No, he was wrong, they weren't the only one.
"Hey, guys!", a female-like voice said, before letting out a nervous tone. "W-who's that?".
Immediately, everyone turned to the golden bear, innocently standing at the hall. They weren't people, they were, animatronics. Not one, not three, not five, not even a few. There were a lot, and all of them were in shock and confusion. Just a few moments later, a group of animatronics walked outside a room opposite a giant wooden-boarded stage.
"So as I was talking ab-", said an animatronic, it was a brown bear, which is talking to a black a white striped puppet like robot, and that puppet seemed like it was floating. But just before the bear could finish his sentence, both of his eyes laid on Fredbear, who is still haven't moved an inch.
For the first 30 seconds, everything went silent. No sound, no buzzing of the light, no music box, no sound. Just a sound of an empty vacuum space. Before another voice bursted out of confusion and excitement.
"Holy s-".
"Hey! No swearing, there's kids here ya know.", said a female voice, sounded like it came from a chicken one, the one with darker yellow color painted on it.
"Okay okay! Sorry! Geez...", said the brown bear.
"Who the hell are you?!", said another bear, but this one seemed shorter and more chubby, it also has two red cheeks on its face. And one can be seen facepalming.
Fredbear, too stunned to say anything, but tried to. "U-um...Hi?", Fredbear said anxiously, what an innocent voice.
"Hi! Are you the new guy?", the chicken in pink panty one said.
"U-Uh...I suppose?", still, an innocent tone.
"Guys look! It's another animatronic!", said the chicken in pink panty again.
"Yes yes, we know Toy Chica.", the brown bear said, then he looked at Fredbear. "Hey you, you're new right? Come, let us introduce ourselves."
Fredbear quietly nodded, and then all of animatronics altogether sat around the tables.
"Well, since we all have introduced ourselves. What about you? What's your name?", Freddy asked.
"Uh...". At this moment, time seemed to stop. Why? I don't know! But Fredbear could feel it, what is it? Does a person asking for your name is so important that time slowed down for you to think? No, maybe, maybe "Fredbear" is the name he shouldn't be mentioned, he doesn't want to be "him" again. Maybe, this is some kind of reincarnation, to have another life, to live, as another person, a total, completely different person from the last one. Fredbear thinks it through, and made a decision.
"I don't have a name...".
"Oh, well then... I think you should give yourself a name to call.", Freddy said.
"Oh oh! How about, Golden Freddy?!", said Toy Chica, she's always the one filled with joy and excitement, as well as Chica.
Just as Toy Chica finished her sentence, everyone looked her, narrowed eyes.
"Uh...Was that supposed to be my name?", said the frowned bear.
"B-But since you guys look like each other, like I-I mean almost looked like identical twins! A-and he was golden too! So Golden Freddy would be a great name."
"Seems legit.", shrugged the red fox.
"Yep, she's right.", agreed the blue bonnie.
"He's also a bear tho!", argued the little boy, who wears a red and blue striped hat and shirt.
"I agree!".
"So do I.".
Freddy frowned and facepalmed his face, before letting out a sigh. "Fine! Whatever suit you guys."
Everyone cheered.
"Uh...so I'm Golden Freddy now?", nervously asked the golden bear, who was supposedly Fredbear.
"Well, if that's what they've called you.", gentle smile the brown bear. "Welcome to the family, golden me."
If Golden Freddy could just simply switch the light up, things would be easier. But Golden Freddy liked to hide himself, loneliness seemed to be fitting him. But is it too dark for him to see? Golden Freddy might went crazy because of it. Nobody wouldn't notice. Golden Freddy stands up, waving his hands forward if he can find a switch, instead of that, he accidentally swung his hand into the shelves, knocking some of the stuff of it. Shit! That was loud! Hope that no one will hear it. Golden Freddy thought, before he can turn on the light.
Not knowing that the sound he has caused, someone has heard it.
As Houser followed Rudy outside the library, both sat down on a bench nearby. Houser, still with his shy attitude, couldn't even look at Rudy.
"Uh...Um...W-what do you want t-to talk about?", shyly asked the quiet kid.
"Mr.Wasly!", Rudy said abruptly. The sudden voice startled Houser.
"W-who me?", Houser pointed to himself.
"Your dad.", Rudy chuckled
"O-oh...".
"When he was young, he's just like you Houser. Always interested in studying and researching. Maybe that's why you're inherited his intelligence."
"R-really?", Houser said, his eyes widened.
"Yes dear", Rudy gently said. "He always came to this library since his university. That young man was always the last one to leave the library. He really determined, dear."
"W-wow. I didn't know my dad was that diligent!", Houser said excitedly, still small. "What about my mom?".
"Your mom? Well, she's didn't come here so often. But on occasion, I caught them studying each other. Your father was so shy that I could see him blushed.", Rudy grinned. "He even asked me for advice on how to date a girl too. Such an naive man.".
Things when silent for a moment, the sound of winds can be heard passing through their clothes and grasses, things were peaceful at the moment. Houser thinking about his dad, he proud of him, he loved his mother, he missed them.
"Miss Rudy.", Houser asked.
"Yes, Houser?", Rudy replied in a granny tone.
"H-How did m-my mom and dad... died?".
Rudy went silent, she looked at Houser, who's waiting for her answer. Houser had already knew what happened to his parents. Why did he asked about it again? Strangely, the boy kept himself as calm as possible when asked such a question.
"Did you know, Houser?", said Rudy.
"J-Just...tell me how.", Houser calmly said.
Rudy, she had no choice but to answer that question, again.
"They died in a car accident, dear.", Rudy said as she put her hand onto Houser's head.
Just before that, Houser pushed her hand away, narrowed his eyes at Rudy. "No...I-I don't believe that.".
"What do you mean?", asked Rudy.
"I...", Houser stopped before saying anything, then, he said, "N-nevermind.".
The conversation then went on for some moment before Houser back continuing his research again.
4:00 PM
Houser, now cycling his way back home. He thinks about when he asked Rudy how his parents had died. They did actually died in a car accident, but something didn't right about it, Houser just know it. He tried to found articles about his parents's car accident, it happened without the interference of another car. Maybe someone, something hit them and ran away. He'll trying to do research about it as well as the source of the neverending nightmares.
When he arrived at home, he notice another bike on the front yard, it's Jeremy's bike. What's Jeremy doing here at this time?, Houser thought, walking his bike into the garage as well as his friend's bike before going in the house.
"Hey aunt Mary, I'm home.", said Houser, in a small calm tone.
"Ah, you arrived at home before deadline I see.", said his aunt Mary, who's cooking in the kitchen. "Jeremy is in the living room.".
"Yeah I know. I saw his bike outside.", Houser walked through the hallway, into the living room. Jeremy, who's lying on the couch watching TV, noticed his friend is back, he grinned. "Hey, you're back. Doing studies in the library in summer huh, you're really determined.". "Yeah, just doing some research.", Houser said as he carried his bag upstairs, before Jeremy turned around and announced something.
"Hey, Houser!".
"Yeah?", the boy stopped, turned around, eyes laid on his friend.
"I'm gonna have a sleepover at your house tonight.".
"Wh...", Houser's face frozed, the word "sleepover" rang through his ears. It made him goose bumped, shocked, nervous, anxious, stressed, so much stresses. At that moment, the feeling of his frozen throat happened again. He couldn't say a word, but he tried to, and finally said.
"W-what did y-ou s-say?", his words becomes unclear again.
"I said I'm gonna have a sleepover at your house tonight. Isn't that exciting? This is our first sleep party! My parents had agreed for me to stay at your house overnight."
This couldn't be it, could it? His best friend, Jeremy, is going to sleep at his house this house, tonight! They haven't have a sleepover ever since they were friends. And Jeremy's sudden decision literally have no time for Houser to react. Poor kid, he had to hold those emotions back, he couldn't express it, cause it'll make him lose control of himself. Years of being an introvert have almost becoming an autistic. "O-okay, t-that's c-cool.", Houser shakingly said, before going to his room.
"Tonight will be an interesting night."
Omg!!! Jeremy is going to discover his best friend's super secret! Who knows what's gonna happen? In the next chapter, maybe!
