JustSomeoneElse: Don't apologize for rambling! I'm glad that you liked the last chapter, even if it is bittersweet! I just apologize that Tsuna himself wasn't physically in it and more Haru-centric if anything. I agree with you that Haru does deserve better and it is a shame in the anime and manga that she doesn't realize it yet. I don't see many stories where it's Haru/Tsuna where Haru realizes that she deserves better, actually, but hopefully I find one soon! (￣ω￣)

Every summer, a carnival is held in Namimori near the shores of the Namimori River and it typically lasts for two weeks up until a month even. And every summer, Haru always goes. When she was younger, the brunette female would go with her family. Up until she was 14 and met Tsuna and everybody else, she would go with them. This year, however, is the first year that she would be going with her boyfriend; Yamamoto Takeshi.
Upon reaching the carnival grounds, they are immediately greeted by the hustle and bustle and excitement that await them. The aroma of freshly-made food waft through the air while a live band plays music. If listened closely, shrieks of laughter from having so much fun and calls of vendors calling out to the carnival-goers to come visit their stand can be heard. It is so chaotic, but yet, so inviting. And Haru just loves it.
"Come on, Takeshi-kun! Haru wants to ride the carousel!" Haru demands as she grabs the baseball player by the hand, dragging him towards the direction of the carousel.
"All right then, haha!" Yamamoto laughs cheerfully as he picks up the pace and they run hand-in-hand to the carousel and Haru feels as if she was a young teenager going on her first date.
After their ride on the carousel, they ride the bumper cars and the pirate ship before the female declared that she was hungry. They walk around the carnival grounds, window-shopping through the vendors before they decide what they want to buy to eat. The raven-haired male gets two dishes of takoyaki and a few sticks of yakitori for his 'dinner' while Haru chooses a bowl of yakisoba as well as a few sticks of dango. Takeshi pays for their meal at Haru's annoyance although she makes up for it by buying them shaved ice and taiyaki. They roam the perimeter of the place to digest their food before they go on anymore rides.
They approach a strip of carnival games, all with the promise of getting a prize. From a cute stuffed animal to a pet goldfish, the choices are endless. Haru catches a glimpse of a fluffy sheep plush from the corner of her eye and squeals when she fully turns around and sees it for herself. It is adorable beyond compare. Noticing her admiration towards the stuffed animal, Takeshi asks the vendor the rules for the game. Her ears perk up at the question.
The vendor, an elderly man, grins, realizing the situation the baseball player is in. He informs the couple that they must knock over all three sets of stacked-up bottles in order to win. Because the raven-haired male is a baseball player, he lights up at the game and readily agrees. He gives the vendor two tickets as the vendor gives him three baseballs in a small wicker basket.
"Takeshi-kun~! Ganbette ne~!" Haru cheers enthusiastically as her boyfriend grins at how cute she is. His facial expressions, in the blink of an eye, change dramatically. His cheerful smile forms into a thin line and his warm, brown eyes sharpen as he focuses on his targets, the bottles. Lifting up a leg, he raises the ball in his hand and throws it. The stack of bottles come tumbling down and Haru squeals excitedly, celebrating that he has finished a third of the bottles. Yamamoto, however, isn't celebrating as he hones in on the second set. He carries out the motion that he had just did and down goes the second set of bottles. The girl's heart hammers in her chest as she nervously stares at her boyfriend now shifting his focus on the third and last stack of bottles. He bits down on his bottom lip and narrows his eyes as he lifts up a leg before throwing the ball towards the direction of the set. Before she could register anything, the sound of the bottles collapsing onto the fair grounds startle her and she squeals in joy as she jumps onto Takeshi for winning.
He laughs at her antics and hugs her back. They celebrate momentarily before he pats her back, ushering her to the grinning old man who silently relishes in the excitement of the two teenagers. The vendor asks Takeshi what prize he wants and said male points towards the sheep plush. Haru could hardly keep still as she impatiently waits for the vendor to grab the plush with a large stick. Once the sheep is in her arms, she gives it a big hug and she grins up at her boyfriend, thanking him countless of times for winning the plush for her. He laughs cheerfully, telling her that it is nothing and how would she like to go on the Ferris Wheel before going home? The Ferris Wheel is one of her favorite rides and she agrees wholeheartedly without thinking twice.
They board the Ferris Wheel and they talk animatedly about the carnival. Haru leans back and forth, causing their seat to rock back and forth as well. Since neither of them are terrified of falling or heights, Yamamoto joins in and they find that they can't hold in their excitement much longer. Bubbles of laughter erupt from the couple and Haru sneaks a glance to her left. Takeshi's laugh is contagious and she finds herself smiling. It is dark outside and a full moon as well as the lights from the other rides light up the sky. In that moment, she wishes that she possessed the power to control time, just so she could pause this moment just to relive it a few more times. Because this one night is the epitome of a summer night.

(7/13/20): Sooo...what do we think? Haha, I don't know about you, but a dream date of mine would be to go to a fair/carnival! And who else is perfect for Haru to go to a carnival date besides our lovable Yamamoto Takeshi?!
