hey guys! literally no one reads this story so um... I might not post any more just yet. but for now just enjoy this chapter

The next morning…

Amy went into the kitchen since Pepper was at work and not around to make lunch. Not that Amy could cook, on the contrary, she was probably the worst cook in California, possibly even the entire country. She opened the fridge, searching for something she might possibly be able to cook. Amy's eyes landed on a brown paper bag with Pepper's handwriting on it.

Enjoy your lunch-Mom

Amy grinned and took the bag, tearing it open and dumping out the contents. A cheeseburger, large fries, and like four gazillion packets of extra mustard. Amy loved mustard. She heated up her food, put it on a plate, and lounged on the couch in the living room. Amy flipped on the TV, munching a french fry. Her cheeseburger was halfway to her mouth when it dropped from her hand, hitting the corner of her plate, and falling to the floor. The reporter on the screen was saying "multi-billionaire Tony Stark missing in Afghanistan. The US Air Force has every available man out searching but he hasn't turn up. I can't even start to imagine how his little girl is feeling right now." She couldn't breathe, her heart was racing, and her hands were shaking and sweaty. She stood so abruptly that her plate slipped off her lap and shattered on the hard floor. Amy took a raspy, gasping breath, trying to collect her thoughts. She took a step back and ran into someone who turned her around and pulled her into a hug.

"I am so sorry, I can't even think what you're going through right now." He said, echoing what the reporter had said. Amy turned, Obadiah. Amy shoved him away and fled, running as fast as she could, her feet pounding against the floor.

Amy buried her face in her pillow to reduce the volume of her sobs, her small frame shaking. Then she suddenly got angry, why was she sad? He was never there for her, she shouldn't mourn for him. She threw her pillow across the room, nearly hitting her mom in the face as the double-doors opened.

Pepper's eyes looked red as she made her way over towards Amy, sitting down beside her. "I came as soon as I heard." She said and Amy's feelings were so mixed up she didn't know what to think. She was shaking with fear and tears dripped off her chin but an angry expression remained on her face. "Honey-"

"Don't!" Amy hugged another pillow, gripping one corner so tightly her knuckles were white. "Leave me alone." Pepper got up and left the room but only a few seconds later a scream rang through the halls. Pepper was the only other one in the house. "Mom?!" Amy asked, getting up and rushing out the door, down the hallway to the balcony that looked over the first floor. It was overrun by a group that looked like a SWAT team. Pepper was standing in the center of a circle of them, her hands raised above her head to show she had no weapons. Amy backed up and turned, face to face with Obadiah. Scared, she stumbled back, running into the plexiglass rail. She realized who it was and sighed with relief.

"Obadiah, do something." She said, pointing at the team below.

"Ah, Amilia, so young and naive." He smiled, but a creepy smile that sent chills up her spine.

"What are you talking about?" Amy asked, moving as far from him as she could get. Instead of a response he snapped his fingers and two of his agents came forward to restrain her. They reached for her but her ducked out of their grasp and jumped, backward, off the balcony.

She landed on her back and stayed there a moment, never had the wind been so violently knocked out of her. Agents walked into her line of vision and she panicked, kicking each one, hard.

"Amilia, run!" Pepper shouted and Amy complied, dashing for the door.

"Happy!" Amy shouted, seeing the bodyguard out in the driveway, rushing towards her. "Happy! Help!" She reached out for him as one of Obadiah's men pulled her back. Happy caught her hand in one of his and with his free hand he punched the soldier in the face. Amy grinned at him, out of breath from running. "Thank you very much."

moving back to stand beside her bodyguard.

"Get to the car." He ordered, shoving her behind him.

"But-" Amy objected.

Happy gave her a look, "go! I'll call Nathaniel to get you out of here okay?" And he ran inside the mansion without waiting for her to argue.

Amy looked down at the taser in her hand, the taser she stole from Happy mere seconds earlier. She started forward to the door but a hand on her shoulder kept her from going in.

"Miss Stark, we need to get you away from here."

Amy frowned at him, "but I can help!" gunfire sounded inside the residence and, without waiting for her to agree, Nathaniel led her away and into the limo. However, he failed to notice the taser clenched tightly in the girl's fist.
