Sorry that I have been inactive since last month, this year with the problems going on may have plagued my sense of happiness. I will of what I can to keep up. Now let us find a way to make up for the times I have missed in coming up with new stories for the summer before July has vanished into August. I am unable to replay memories of independence week since I had worked that weekend. I however found some happiness in other things I had almost forgotten like my garden. If I can find happiness again then I can find the inspiration in writing again.

It has been almost a month since the arrival of the Equestrian girls, and everyone was having a grand time. Summer had some excitement, while other times it had is disappointments. Want to know what has happened since then? Then why don't we pay them a visit and find out how everyone's summer went

I do not own any part of My little pony Equestria Girls, Tugs the television series, Nor that of Thomas the tank engine and Friends. They are owned by their respective companies, while other characters have been created by, Pinkninjaprime, and blackboard26.

Fishing with the skarlowey boys

Summertime has been a hot one on the Island of Sodor, many days of hot sun made it possible for the girls from Canterlot High able to venture to the beaches along Duck's Branch line. Some like the crusaders have journeyed to the Skarlowey Railway to spend time with the Narrow-gauge boys as they gave tours of their lines. Rarity and Sci Twi had accompanied them to keep an eye on the younger teenagers for some of the other girls who had stayed behind to help out around the homestead, Applejack especially.

Peter Sam. "Well girls how do you all like a trip to Skarlowey Lake. It is the highest lake you will ever see on the Island of Sodor."

Skarlowey. "And it is here where I got my name from, they named me after this lake for working here since 1850s."

Sci Twi. "Wow and how old you say you are since your humanization two years ago Skarlowey."

Rheneas. "When we became human, just before School began for us, and at the time we were estimated to be in our pre-teen years like your young friends are."

Duke. "While those like Skarlowey, Rheneas and I are close to becoming high school students ourselves, Those like Peter Sam, Sir Handle, and Duncan happen to be 14 years of age while little Luke and Rusty happen to be still 13 years of age."

Duncan. "Still cannot believe how close you three are in joining Thomas and his friends once school resides back into the fall."

Rusty. "I do not think we are going to go back that quickly since the schools are still trying to sort out on how to keep teaching us the things we need to learn if we are ever gong to find the right know how if we wanted the careers we wanted once we are done with school ourselves one day."

Luke "Not to mention on how Thomas is willing to open up his workshops for us to see if we are ever needing any projects done that needed machining done to make for the various workshops they present in the schools."

Sweetie Bell. "What exactly are you aiming for Luke, you sound like you wanted something different from the railway."

Luke. "just wanted to see what other talents I may have before deciding if I wanted to return to the railway again or not. After the many events that Thomas and the rest on that homestead of his managed to find out what each of them are good at sine none are engines now. I mean Thomas has managed to own a homestead and now he is the best homesteader on the island. Oliver managed to learn about ancient cultures and try to recreate them in as a way to bring back what the people from back then had to use in order to create some study enough structure that allowed for them to call home, or just a place to stay while coming and going to these lands and beyond. And at the same time have a history lesson about the people who created these structures they made in their time."

Scoot a Loo. "Wow, I have got to see these dwellings that Oliver had decided to recreate on the homestead."

Apple Bloom. "Me too, and I bet that sis would also like to see these structures up close too, it makes her feel right at home."

Sci Twi. "I would not mind seeing these structures myself, that way we can learn what they had to put up with back then to make things better for today."

Rarity. "Just as long it does not make such a musty crusty look on my looks darling."

Sir Handle. "Not to worry Rarity, I am sure that Oliver managed to bring a bit of today's world in those structures. They may want to learn about what it was like back in the day when these period of the past were about, but I heard from Oliver he made some additional ones with up to date amenities to prevent anyone who are not to eager to leave today's world for the times in history."

Skarlowey. "Thomas made it clear that even though he and the others are doing their time in making the homestead worth living there while many who do still ponder of what lifestyle they wish to take part in once High school is over for them."

Rarity. "I have seen some of the wonderful flower arrangements in Henry's Floral greenhouse. Simply gorgeous and Divine. I have a feeling he and Emily are planning to stay on that homestead of Thomas and Rosie's."

Apple Bloom. "Fluttershy seems to be enjoying her time in that floral shop of Henry's, knowing some of the arrangements may mean some of the critters that come to the Visitor's Center can view them. The Floral arrangements and the placements of the animal feed stations have been the big plus once the visitors managed to see some of the wildlife before venturing out to see them on the trails."

Sweetie Bell. "When we get back, I will ask Thomas if he can show me how to fish like him. I hear he and his hunting and fishing club bring in the best catches on the Island and other places where they happen to be welcomed."

Scoot a Loo. "Me too, I hear they are very adventurous around the Island especially when they decide to go on night rides. I hear that is when he and Rosie like to spend their time alone away form everyone is on those night rides."

Rarity. "Everyone has their way of finding the time with the ones they love Darlings. (Sighs) I do hope one day we can meet someone who is just romantic at Thomas is with Rosie."

Twilight thought of someone, she remembers Timber Spruce, one of the Ever-free forest camp instructors who she befriended when she was still struggling with the after effect of becoming Midnight Sparkle. She remembered how much she and Timber had so much knowledge about the forest and everything in nature that she almost had a kiss from him at that time. "(Sighs) I know exactly of what you mean Rarity."

Rarity. "You know you could have written to him after that summer at Ever-free camp darling, I am sure Timber Spruce would love to hear it from you again too."

Sci Twi. "Actually, I did, just before we left, I decided to send him a letter about venturing to another place for a change. I did not mention about the Island of Sodor to him just yet, I just said that I was going to somewhere I have yet to learn about and bring back once we return to our world."

Spike. "She has kept on sending him letters on how much she and the others here had managed to get into all sorts of adventures. Even if the adventures are hardly ever far away from home."

Luke. "Adventures what sort of adventures you have been involved in you lot?"

Rarity. "Maybe it will be best for us to return after our visit to that lake on your railway, we can have everyone gather around the campfire tonight so that way everyone can speed up on all the ventures we had since everything starts out with Sunset Shimmer."

Sci Twi. "Not to mention it will also involve the Princess Twilight Sparkle in lending in some of the details I have not known about since I started from another school known in our world as Crystal Prep Academy."

Duncan. "Ach more stories about other places rather than the stories of our travels along our railway no doubt."

Rusty. "And Explaining on how you used to Rock and Roll in and out of tunnels because your Rocking and rolling caused a tunnel to collapse all over you and your train at the time." Everyone laughed, except for Duncan who was cross at that comment.

Duncan. "I get no respect. At least it was better than to use a drainpipe while waiting for a new funnel to arrive after a crash with the trucks." Duncan and Sir Handle laughed but Peter Sam did not like that comment at all.

Peter Sam. "That crash happened when I was trying to help our Sir Handle who pretended to be sick that day and the trucks mistaken me for Sir Handle at that time. After the crash I had it hard going until my special funnel came in and it was a blessing for me since then. That is until we all experienced our humanizations almost two years ago. Now this was something none of us were prepared for."

Duke. "At least this was better than being stuck in a shed for almost twenty years on my old engine self after the closure or our old railway line on the other side of the Island."

Apple bloom. "You must have felt very sad to be left all alone like that Duke, cannot imagine the look on my Granny smith who may be old but has a lot of spunk left in her to be pushed aside from doing the chores around the farm back home."

Scoot A Loo. "Believe me Apple Bloom and her Apple Family may seem simple, but once you get to know them, simple is not the word."

Sweetie Bell. "You will understand one day Duke, Skarlowey, and Rheneas."

Skarlowey. "I believe we will find out in time my young friends, but oh hey, we are now arriving at Crovan's gate, our entrance to our railway into the hills everyone." Everyone got off the express of Gordon and Scott, before the express had departed the rest of the way to Vicarstown while the young party with Rarity, Sci Twi and Spike the dog in charge of the young group to make sure everything goes smoothly into the hills. For they did not waited long, on the platform was Peter Sam's old engine self, ready to take passengers to the lake in the hills.

Peter Sam. "Well everyone here is my engine side waiting to take the passengers to the lake at the end of the line everyone."

Everyone stepped up and was amazed of the engine who was supposed to be Peter Sam, Apple Bloom thought it was a handsome engine and admired its square shaped funnel.

Apple Bloom. "I like the looks of your engine side Peter Sam; it is unique, and that funnel makes it stand out from the rest of the engines here."

Peter Sam just blushed on the comments that Apple Bloom just made about his engine side. "Why Thank You Apple Bloom, it is a rather unique engine that was once me and ready to take us all on the trip into the hills and up to the lake everyone."

Duncan. "OH, for the love of-."

Before the took their seats Mr. Percival and the engine crews had given their greetings on the young people who were about to board the train.

Mr. Percival. "Ah, hello everyone planning a trip into the hill I see."

Skarlowey. "Yes indeed sir, we wanted to venture up to the lake where we can spend some time fishing with the new poles that Thomas and Rosie were able to get for us since none of us are able to buy them for ourselves."

Apple Bloom. "Thomas says that he was going to show us how to preserve the fish once we catch them. That way we can find ways to prevent us from starving if we find our food supplies running low because of things becoming out of control. If you know of what I mean."

Mr. Percival. "I see, If you wanted to learn how to fish I would have asked for Thomas to allow time with you boys, That way you all will be prepared to learn how to fish for yourselves in case you had to learn survival skills like they have since their humanizations two years ago."

Sci Twi. "That is why we are here."

Rarity. "We already know all about camping like the time we all went camping at the Ever-free camp retort for almost a few years ago."

Scoot a Loo. "Since then we wanted to test them here at Skarlowey Lake."

Peter Sam. "WE have to learn some time Mr. Percival Sir."

Sir Handle. "That way we can be just as prepared as Thomas and Rosie are on their homestead."

Mr. Percival. "I see, well good luck on your fishing boys and remember listen close to both Rarity and Twilight, for those two are in charge. Stay close to them and try and not to wander off since you only knew of your railway form track side and this will be your first time into the hills as human children."

Luke. "You know I did not believe I was considered a child, even though any of us have been on earth for a number of years until our unusual miracles of us becoming humanized children instead of teenagers like Thomas and the rest."

Sci Twi. "Not to worry sir, I managed to make these tracker sensors in case any of them managed to stray from the rest of us while fishing at the lake." Then she began to give the boys, Crusaders, Rarity, herself and Spike to make sure everyone had one before venturing into the hills. Duncan could not see the reason for these trinkets from Twilight.

Duncan. "Must we have these on Twilight, I mean we know our way along the railway by now?"

Skarlowey. "Maybe as an engine since that has been the way until our human experience from our engine sides. But as human children it is best to keep track of one another to prevent anyone of us from becoming lost in the woods and maybe fell off a cliff if we are not too careful out there."

Sir Handle. "Believe me Duncan that last thing you wanted to do is to be left dangling over a cliff with only an old engine low on water holding you back to prevent you from going over the edge. I still owe Duke big time if he did not put in the effort in helping me learn his special route."

Duke. "At least you have proven to be a better listener than our former number 2 Smudger."

Sci Twi. "Just the same, I would feel much better if we had strong contacts with each other in case anyone became lost or injured in the woods near the lake."

Rarity. "And since this would be a good time to spend with my adorable sister, out on to the open water just waiting to see our splendor as we wait for the fish to arrive my darlings.", Rarity had managed to put together some outfits for their time near the waters of Skarlowey Lake. It had pictures of sailboats and ice cream on Sweetie bells outfit while Rarity has beautiful gemstone arrangements on her outfits.

Sci Twi. "Just make sure they are not too attracted to you outfit Rarity; I hear some fish are attracted to sparkling things as a form of attraction."

Mr. Percival. "Alright young ins it is time to come on board, your train is about to leave and please have your tickets ready as you make your way into the hill to Skarlowey lake. Have fun everyone." Then everyone boarded on the train and found their seats just as the guard had blown on his whistle just as the engine in front sounded its whistle to announce the journey has just begun.

Over the valleys and various parts of the railway, the girls had seen a special part where what appears to be an elephant located in the middle of the lake. Scoot a Loo was curious as to know if the elephant is real or not.

Apple Bloom. "Hey fellas, can you mind telling us of that place where it appears an elephant had been standing in."

Rheneas. "That was the statue of an elephant that was supposed to be in the park but due to silly Duncan believe he can take that cargo which he found to be very heavy, and had not thought of coupling up to a break van to prevent him from going to fast to the point to where he had broken his breaks and once he crashed at the buffers that allowed the elephant to fly off his truck into the middle of the lake, and it has stayed since then."

Scoot a Loo. "wow Duncan you must be the unluckiest Engine of your railway during your engine days."

Skarlowey. "It is more likely most arrogant of the sudrian engines of any gauge on the Island."

Duncan. "Really now, how about that Minimum gauge engines on Dukes old line, I hear he can be pretty arrogant engine himself?"

Rheneas. "From what we heard from both Thomas and Duck is that engine known as Mike of the Aelsbouragh railway is only cross when he has to pull passenger trains. Give him regular ballast trains usually make him the merrier engine. However, give that small red engine a passenger train and he have a fit over it."

Duke. "Steward, Falcon we should make a trip one day to our old line to see these other engines that has taken over our old line, a respectful visit."

Sweetie bell. "Now who are Steward and Falcon Duke?"

Sir Handle. "That will be me and Peter Sam Sweetie bell."

Peter Sam. "Those have been our names back during the good old days on that line."

Sir Handle. "Since we relocated to this railway after our old one closed, we were given the names of Sir Handle after our old controller of this line, before Mr. Percival took over and that Peter Sam of the old Railway to pay respect to our old controller who has been fair to us since our start there."

Soon everyone had made it to Skarlowey Lake and already some of the boys are ready to cast their lines while Duncan is having a hard time with his set up. Twilight has seen this and walked over to Duncan to help him out with his gear.

Sci Twi. "Here Duncan let me help you out with your set up."

Duncan snapped. "I know of what I am doing."

Twilight has taken it back. "Are you sure about that? Because I can tell you are having trouble with it."

Duncan becoming annoyed. "I said that I know of what I am doing."

Twilight just shrugged and decided to see how long it will take for Duncan to carry on like this and has decided to see how he can get started without any help from her. "Fine, I will wait until your either done or need help after all."

Duncan continued to work with his fishing gear as everyone had already sent their lines into the water of the lake waiting for Duncan to finish.

Duncan mumbling as he continues to work his gear before it became all tangled up all over him, to the point to where he cannot move an inch to set himself free from his mishap. "I got this here, and all I have to do is to -, ah, Oh, oh, Oh no. Ahh. (Sighs) oh just great, how am I going to get this thing into the water now?"

Everyone there could not help but to laugh at Duncan's predicament, just as Twilight had finally seen the defeat of Duncan to allow for Twilight come over to help release him from his own handy work of the sorts.

Sci Twi. "Here we go Duncan, I know you want to believe you know of what to do even when you had no control when you lost your patience. Here now you are free and if you allow for me to fix up your line after you had recovered your personal fiasco, may be now you may want to listen to your elders who want to make this time we have a special one."

Duncan after siting back up and feeling embarrass about his small battle against the fishing rod, just decided to chill down and listen to twilight and Rarity during the rest of the trip if he wanted to learn survival skills with the rest.

Duncan. "Alright, I will calm down and enjoy my time with the rest of you."

Everyone else. "Good!" Then all gathered around the lake using the baits best used for the lake. These were the tips given to them by both Thomas and his friend from the park services of Sodor. Game warden Dex. Then some of them decided to go with something they may have learned from other fishing guides on how to catch the fish from the waters they wanted the fish from. While others used live bait to catch the fish, others like Luke and Rusty decided to use spoons in the lake. Both used spinner baits to help lure the fish to strike their hooks. Both Luke and Rusty realized the best way to use them is allow the spinners to flow down stream and real back slowly to allow the blade to spin triggering the nearby fish to bite the lures. Luke and Rusty realized that they must keep doing this until they make their strikes. Luke make his third cast into the flow of the currant, just as he began to reel back, he hit a strike, both Luke and Rusty were excited as well the rest of the group. As Luke continue to reel in his fish, Scoot a Loo came over with the fishing net and helped Luke land his fish. Success, Luke had reeled in his first trout. Everyone was high fiving him on a well-earned catch, before Twilight came over and placed the fish into the cooler, they brought along with them.

Rusty. "Well done Luke, your first catch as a fisherman."

Luke. "Ha, ha. Let us try that again Rusty."

Rusty. "Maybe it will be my turn to catch a fish Luke."

Skarlowey. "Come on everyone this is the first catch of the day, we still have plenty of sunlight left in our fishing adventures."

Everyone returns to their fishing spot and began to catch the fish as well. Rusty was indeed the next to land his fish, then surprisingly Duncan had caught his own first fish after learning how to calm down enough to enjoy himself after seeing how Luke and Rusty were after witnessing their fist catches in their lives.

Everyone was having a good time, Duke was the next to land a fish, then Peter Sam and Apple Bloom both landed their fish on a double. Sir Handle and Sweetie bell had landed a pair of trout themselves. Everyone caught their catches of the day and after counting up on all the fish they caught, they had more than enough fish for their homes as well to share some with their friends on Thomas's homestead.

Luke. "Wow! Look at all the fish we caught, this will make a great catch to bring over to Thomas's homestead to where he promised to help us clean them before beginning the process of preserving them in cans or just hot smoked them before placing them into storage until we may need them on provisions."

Skarlowey. "This is a fine catch indeed, now all we have to do is wait for my engine side to arrive with my coaches and head our way back to the junction and to the homestead again to preserve our catch for both the homestead and our home as well."

Twilight. "I had a great time, how about you Rarity? Did you have a great time with these guys who were supposed to be the engines for this railway?"

Rarity. "Oh I had a wonderful time my darlings, while many of you spend your time fishing away I had the opportunity to work on my tan and bring back the some of the wonders of your railways Skarlowey."

Skarlowey. "Well, oh ah, thank you very much Rarity, I think."

Rusty. "Well I am all fished out, how about the rest of you guys and gals, ready for the trip back?"

Peter Sam. "I am ready to head home but not before we turn these wonderful fish into our canned fish for our own home."

Rheneas. "Mr. Percival will be very excited about the catches we made today."

Sir Handel. "He will be very pleased indeed."

Duke. "Once Skarlowey's engine side with his train arrives to take us back to crovan's gait, then we can show him before we take the return train back to Thomas's homestead for process."

Soon Skarlowey's engine side had arrived, the group boarded the coaches along with their gear and catches that had wowed some of the other passengers about the amounts of fish the boys had managed to bring back.

Passenger 1. "Wow Skarlowey, You and your group did a splendid job in your catches today."

Rheneas. "WE all had a hand in bringing in the fish we caught today."

Passenger 2. "Just the same, well done children, I am sure if you actually had parents, I bet they will be proud of you as we are."

The Skarlowey Boys. "Thank you."

Soon the train made it back to the junction where the green black 5 that was once Henry had waited until the passengers from the Skarlowey railway made their way over to the other platform where Mr. Percival has witness the large amounts of fish everyone managed to catch. He then came over to the boys with praise for their efforts.

Mr. Percival. "My, My, that is an incredible amount of fish you all managed to catch on your first outdoor outing, congrats on every one of you."

The boys. "Thank you, sir."

Luke. "We just wanted you to see the catches we made on our very first fishing trip."

Rusty. "While some of us had a bit of a struggle to find his happiness."

Peter Sam. "The rest of us had a blast of learning how to read your fish if you want to success fully be able to bring home the catch for everyone in your life."

Sir Handle. "WE wanted to share this moment with you before we show this to Thomas and his friends on the homestead before it becomes preserved with Thomas's help of course."

Mr. Percival smiled and was pleased that the boys have been able to enjoy a day out fishing for the first time. Now with their new knowledge in their heads on how to prepare themselves for the future, he is now sure the boys are on their way to becoming respectable adults.

Mr. Percival. "Well I am happy to say that I am very proud of everyone of you. Also, you have permission to stay the night at the Homestead until your processed catch is ready to return home with you the following Morning back home to the Narrow-gauge house."

The boys. "Thank you. Sir."

Soon everyone was onboard the number Three train to the Elsbridge Junction where they all can be able to reach the homestead in time to meet up with Thomas just as he made his return from the railway. Thomas had some exciting news he had learned from KNapford by Sir Topham Hat and the Earl of Sodor. Fist Thomas addressed his attention to the Skarlowey boys and the crusaders with their stash of fish they all manged to collect and Game warden Dex had arrive to check on the sized and amount caught before anyone Is able to process the fish for canning. After the inspections the Crusaders and the Narrow-gauge boys are able to keep their catches. Thomas promised to help prepare the fish for smoking the following day. That has brought a smile to the boys faces which means the boys can stay the night on the Homestead and wait until the results of their catches the following day.

What announcement does Thomas have to make after his day on the rails, what events still have to be played out before everyone is to know who and what is coming to the Island to bring a bit more excitement. We can return next time we visit our friends during their Sudrian Summer 2020.
