We are continue learning about the events unfolding on the Island of Sodor, we already spent time with the younger folks of our stories, other events were unfolding as we hum along for the ride. Marvelous times of change

It was a hot summer day on the Island of Sodor, and the party from Skarlowey lake had returned with their catches just as Thomas, and Flash Sentry had arrived after a long day on the branch line. After meeting up with the group the girls decided to return to their rooms for the night, while the Narrow-Gauge boys have been assigned to sleep in the visitor rooms for the night. They boys liked sleeping here, it makes them feel right at home, and Thomas managed to hire some local school kids to help with the housekeeping and other activities in and around the homestead and resort.

Skarlowey. "Thank you for having us here tonight Thomas, it is not every day we make a visit to your homestead and feel just as relaxed in our own homes."

Thomas. "As part owner of this homestead and resort Skarlowey, it is my duty that those who wish to stay, and venture here will be given the best experience during their visit. If I wanted to become a better host to my guest to the resort and Homestead, Then I will do what I can to make everyone's stay worthwhile."

Rheneas. "We really need to pay close attention to what you do here Thomas, that way we can also learn how to make the visitors to our railway worth the trip they wanted."

Edward. "Thomas has been paying most attention to the many guests who continue to come and see this place. At first it was just a place where Thomas and Rosie plan to stay until they knew of what to do for themselves. However, when many visitors who came here before, heard about their humanizations, learned about how he and Rosie acquired this homestead. Many of the visitors came to see how much he and Rosie had come along and see of what they managed to live the way they do. When we heard about what they have been up to, we decided to help them out once we became human after them with the visitors who continue to flock here to not only see this homestead, but find ways to venturing out to other spots along the Railway. Sir Topham Had especially like the thought of those who come to the Homestead may want to venture into our modern world so the sense for adventure is for those who are interested other things besides the homestead."

Skarlowey. "have you ever thought about returning to the rails too Edward, Afterall it is very hard to be removed of something you had been working so hard since you have been active after the Reverend had requested some of the drive teams to take you out after your prolonged stay in the sheds?"

Edward. "I am already back on the rails Skarlowey, we had a talk with our guidance counselors from School that the best way the older kids like my self Scott, Gordon and Henry are going have their shot of becoming part of this railway sooner is was to take a test to earn our GED. It is like already graduated but only for required courses for us to pass the test. Those who that I have mentioned had taken that test and you can say we did graduate 2 years sooner due to the fact we already reached our adults stages already. Lucile Hat felt it was best to see us off sooner to make our mark decisions better once we left the school for good."

Thomas. "Even though he has finished his education, those like myself still need the two years left to complete our education, while those like Edward here and everyone else who received their GEDS can now find the lives they wanted to live since becoming human two years ago."

Rusty. "Has any of you managed to know of what your futures are? I am sure many of you still want to do your part around the railway. Knowing that is where everyone got their start from."

Henry. "I already decided to stay on the homestead with Thomas and Rosie, I have a home on my own here with Emily. Since we own the floral and greenhouse on the property, I find it to be my dream come true after learning all about the various plants and animals that depend on our handy work. Especially since I also grow some of our native trees and shrubs in case places like my special forest ever need restoration again if it ever fell to forest fires or even other windstorms."

Thomas. "Toby and Percy found their calling in helping me on the feeding range of the homestead as Range Riders. They both love to keep an eye on the heard while taking in the scenery while attending the herds."

Rosie. "I hear that Oliver still researches previous periods of the peoples who used to live in Great Britain and the Island of Sodor all together."

Rheneas. "And when he does have him contact us if he wishes to recreate any ancient Structure, that way we can all learn together how and why the people built these things when they did."

Thomas. "We will let you know when he does Rheneas, right now it is best we got some shut eye and announce to everyone what we have learned earlier this evening before we came home tonight."

Duke. "What kind of announcement have you learned today Thomas?"

Thomas. "Like I have Said Duke that I will announce it tomorrow when everyone is here, and Sir Topham Hat and the Earl of Sodor arrives with the news we learned today. Until then everyone it is best, we got some well-deserved sleep."

Skarlowey. "You all heard Thomas, now it is best we get some sleep and process our fish in the morning and hear the news from Sir Topham hat and the Earl of Sodor."

Luke. "Right Good night everyone."

Sir Handle. "I suppose."

Peter Sam. "Very well."

Rheneas. "Good night everyone."

Rusty. "See you all in the morning."

Duke. "Good night.

Duncan. "I Suppose a good night sleep can do."

Then the Skarlowey Boys have located their rooms for the night where some of the boys shared rooms together like Skarlowey, Rheneas, Luke and Rusty slept in one room While Duncan, Sir Handle, Peter Sam, and Duke slept in another in four different beds in one room each. Then the homesteader had returned to their homes which leads for Thomas and Rosie some alone time to talk about ideas for the future, as they settle down for the night.

Rosie. "Thomas?"

Thomas. "Yes Rosie?"

Rosie. "Do you believe you can still be part of the railway and still able to help run things here on the homestead at the same time?"

Thomas. "I am finding out that my duties on the Homestead are more demanding than my time on the Railway Rosie."

Rosie. "Does that tell you something Thomas?"

Thomas. "It does Rosie, it is telling me to pay more attention to the details on the homestead, since my old crew can still man my old engine self. I may have started my life as an engine and becoming part of this railway up until my time as a human. Since becoming human I realize that too much responsibility burns a person out. I may be young in years but I feel that the homestead and the resort need my attention the most during the summer Holiday time since I am the one who everyone wants to see first before the venture across the Island with our friends."

Rosie. "Funny they also wanted to see me first also before my ventures along with my engine side across the railway from Vicarstown. It seems that most who come here really loved the meals I make while working in the Dinning hall. It seems my cooking makes them feel right at home."

Thomas. "Maybe we should talk to the controller when he comes tomorrow and let him know of what we decided to do since our most busy time is Summer Holiday time and the fall months until winter sets in."

Rosie. "WE did say that if we find the demand of the homestead is calling us more than the railway, then that is the decision we need to make together. The warmer summer months until the winter months we should spend our time on the homestead."

Thomas. "While in the winter into spring months we should help along the railway since it will be quiet here during these times and it will help us find time between school and the jobs on the railway. Since I am helping Flash sentry train to become a railway worker, I will put my effort in helping him find the future he wanted to find."

Rosie. "I hear that Sunset shimmer also wants to help out on the railways since she can be a team player and she did help many of her friends when the chips where down from their own adventures as they put it to us so far."

Thomas. "If we plan this very well Rosie, we need to hope everything is done right and to make sure everyone knows we are here for everyone even if we decide what our futures are. You and me together my Rosie Rose along with Henry and Emily who also are looking into their futures now that Henry is out of school and on his way with his garden and floral shops."

Rosie. "Toby, Mavis, Polly and Percy chose their futures as range riders and Polly can still make contact with the Magic Railroad when she needs to return to it now and then."

Thomas. "I just hope everyone's Education got everyone prepared on how to live for themselves. They only learned what it is like to live on a homestead where we have been the providers of the Area, and they need to learn how to live for themselves now."

Rosie. "I just hope they understand that it is more work than they realized, (Sighs) for now let us work on some memories my love. WE have just for tonight before the events that has yet to be unfolded for tomorrow." Thomas hearing this realized that he and Rosie are due for some real serious time together."

Thomas. Adjusting his tone to the mood as he strokes her hair and face to the chin as he chimes in. "Then let us get serious beautiful half of my life, you truly complete me as we make our love time together."

Rosie now feeling the vibes from Thomas is ready for his love magic on her. "Let the fun and love begin my handsome love of my nights. Come complete my burning heart with passion and desire my love." Then she leans in to give the first kiss as Thomas continues to perform with safety in mind to make sure they can still perform their duties without interruptions. As they continue their time by stroking their bodies with each other's love and feel of their passion and responses of their actions to each other. Thomas kisses all over Rosie from doting her face with his kisses before a long kiss of desire as Rosie helps him find his way to where she wants him to go. Before long they were both strong with each other as they are deeply in the heat of the moment with more strength in their love. As Thomas goes faster and faster as Rosie is loving he ever presence with more time she has with Thomas. Before long, the two began to tire out and satisfied they had a wonderful time with each other, as they slowly come to the end of their love play and a final kiss they said good night to each other as they slept in each other's arms into the night.

Rosie. Yawning. "Good night Thomas."

Thomas Yawning also as he whispers. "Good night my night rose." Then they fell asleep.

The Following morning as everyone who was left on the homestead had headed into the Dining hall. Since some of the residents have graduated some had already left the homestead to find dwellings close to the railway near Tidmouth, like Gordon, Rebecca, Scott, Connor, and Caitlin to be near the engines when they start their day. The one who is left of the Gresley house was Ryan since he is still in school like Thomas and the rest. Some of the Equestrian girls like Sunset Shimmer, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinky Pie had returned to be part of the announcement just as Fluttershy made her way through her door of the pony dormer, just as the controller, the Earl, and someone new that no one has meet before came to the dinning hall for the announcement that everyone had yet to know about. Everyone turned to the approaching figures as Edward and Henry looked up to see their guests arriving.

Henry. "Listen up everyone it Looks like the controller, and the Earl are coming up this way with someone close to the Earl."

Thomas. "Well let us pull up some chairs and allow them to share some of our breakfast with us since we occasionally forget that we are missing a few mouths on the homestead." Everyone has kept on forgetting that some of the older residents had Graduated and moved on to other parts of the island to be part of the railway. But it does not mean they cannot make extras in case of visitors like the Earl, controller, and their guest. Then everyone welcomed their guests just as Thomas made his way to the visitors for everyone to see. "Good morning sir, your grace and who your special guest may be?"

The Earl. "OH, who, who, who. Thomas everyone welcomes my friend from America."

"". "Hello everyone, my name is Ruth."

Thomas. "Welcome to our Island and our homestead Ruth, as must know my name is Thomas. I was supposed to be this Island's number one blue tank engine that runs the Branch line behind the homestead. Since my humanization two years ago I became Thomas Billinton in Honor of the man who created my class the London Brighton & South Coast Railway engines the E2 s. This lady next to me is my youngest sister who also became humanized almost two years ago, is Ariel who was the Teal engine on the railway."

Ariel. "Hello everyone and this other lady next to Thomas is his special love, Rosie Vulcan."

Rosie. "Hello and as Thomas had said, welcome to our homestead."

Ruth. "thank you everyone, both your controller and the Earl had explained to me how each of you have become humanized almost two years ago. I hardly believed in such a thing can occur, but here you all are, and I can see you no different from any other humans around anywhere else."

Oliver. "Except for when we explain our times on the tracks before our humanizations, is the only this that will separate us from the rest of mankind."

STH. "Alright Oliver, now the reason of our visit everyone is to announce a special fair that is coming to the Earls Estate up by Ulfstead Castle."

The Earl. "My friend Ruth is a special person from America."

Ruth. "Come outside with us everyone and we can explain what the event is."

Edward. "Alright then, come on everyone let us see what our guests have to show for them to explain to us."

Luke. "Can we come along; it may involve our attention too?"

STH. "I do not see why not Luke if you Narrow-gauge boys want to know what the commotion is all about, then come on out and see." That is what they all did, everyone came out to see what look like a strange object in the shape of a car, that seems to be ordinary to everyone's eye.

Duncan. "Do not tell me you had brought us out here to see this car of yours Sirs?"

The Earl. "You will see soon enough Duncan." Then the Earl and Ruth had placed some head gear on, one uses for air travel then had entered the vehicle and before anyone realized what was going on the vehicle had launched itself into the air and everyone on the ground could not help but be mesmerized of the sight of a flying object that can resembles some one's car just like that. Then just after both Ruth and the Earl made a final lap around the Island that gotten Rebecca's attention from her house allowed her an excuse to visit the homestead for the day to see what new events will be. Then after Rebecca had followed the flying object back to the homestead just after everyone had witness the item return just as Rebecca had met up with the rest of the homesteaders who were left after she and the Gresley Brothers had moved to Tidmouth after graduation.

Rebecca. "Hello everyone, what is going on and what was that flying around the Island like that?"

Thomas. "Hello Rebecca, that was the Earl and a special friend he has visiting from America."

Rebecca. "Really, who is this special friend of the Earl's Thomas?"

Emily. "You and the rest of us will see soon Rebecca." As she says this the Craft that was carrying the Earl and his friend landed where it had taken off from revealed the two again to announce what the event and the craft is all about. Then both the earl and Ruth had reappeared the young group again to explain everything.

The Earl. "You know I can never get enough out of my Friend's inventions."

Sci Twi. "You mean she made this thing whatever it is?"

Ruth. "This happens to be one of my inventions, um who ever you are that I have yet to know about?"

Thomas. "Oh sorry, this is one of our friends who visit us from another dimension, her name is Twilight Sparkle where in her world is almost like ours except they are the human versions of some magical pony friends of ours from the world known to us as Equestria."

Sci Twi. "Hello, and this little guy with me is my little dog Spike."

Spike. Bark, bark. "how do you do?"

Ruth. "Wow I have never met a talking dog before."

Spike. "Other than Twilight I have never met anyone like you too."

Sci Twi. "And these other ladies behind me are my friend from the Canterlot High school we attend. The red and golden colored haired friend is Sunset Shimer, then we have AppleJack, Rarity, Pinky Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and this guy next to Sunset Shimmer is Flash Sentry. He is learning how to be part of an engine Crew with the guidance of Thomas as the driver of the team."

The Girls and Flash Sentry. "Hello."

Applejack. "Howdy partner not to get too many apples in a barrel, but mighty kind explaining what this contraption you had just flown around over our heads in?"

Ruth. "Oh, right this happens to be a road plain, it may seem like any car, but you can fly it to anywhere you may want too."

Sunset. "Have you ever flown it all over the world yet Ruth?"

Ruth. "ha, ha, not yet Sunset not until we can have it approved with everyone around the world for this. Until then is can only be driven by the Earl around the Island if he wishes."

The earl. "AS you can see that Ruth is a very talented young lady who is very Techno savvy."

Pinky Pie. "I can see twilight be as Savvy as you are Ruthie."

Twilight. "Pinky! Not now."

The earl. "The point is everyone that there will be a technology fair coming to the Island of Sodor and I need everyone's help in setting up the venue on the Castle grounds as many people will be coming over with their own inventions for everyone to see."

Everyone. "Wow!" Pinky "Ooh We."

Henry. "That is amazing Sir. You want for us to take part in the preparations for the fair too sirs."

STH. "That is right Henry, if you can perform how you can make preparations at the Earls estate just like you did with the other projects you all made from the time each of you became human. That way everyone can take their part for this Technology fair that is coming up soon."

Thomas. "How soon do you want for us to take part in the Techno fair for the earl sir."

STH. "I know you all have work to do on your homestead, that is why I am asking for your help in the preparations with the fair. Your old engine crews will help with the most part on the rails while each of you that can operate your machines will help set up the stations of where our visitors and participant are able to set up their inventions for the fair."

Trent Dimes. "(ten cents) Would you like some help from the star tugs too sirs?'

Shawn Brightly. (sunshine) "It seems a lot to do for such of an event sir."

STH. "Not to worry you humanized tugs, I have spoken to your managers and has agreed to help out too, in order for the techno fair to take place up at Ulfstead Castle."

Trent and Shawn. "Oh wow – That is great."

James. "You can count on us too Sirs. Like Thomas had asked of how soon should be take part in the fair you had mentioned?"

The earl. "The preparations will begin the following day James, that way what you need to get done today, you do not have to worry about tomorrow morning. While you choose those who will remain on the homestead while others can help prepare the castle and grounds ready for the fair when it is scheduled to open."

Thomas. "Then you can count on us, right everyone."

Everyone agreed with Thomas. That pleased STH, the earl and especially Ruth about how involved Thomas the Star tugs and their friends from human form EQuestria want to be in seeing this fair go as planned.

Thomas. "Then it is settled, let us know of what we need to do, and we can help out as promised."

Everyone was glad to hear it from Thomas and everyone who lives on the homestead.

The Earl. "Splendid Thomas, like I have said it is best to get everything you need to get done today. Tomorrow is the start of the preparations for the technological fair on Sodor."

The earl and Ruth began to leave just to have the controller stay with Thomas a bit longer to discuss about the future of Thomas and Rosie becoming part of the railway even when the demands of the homestead and resort of theirs had their most attention than the railway has been.

STH. "Thomas and Rosie, it has come to my attention that your needs of your homestead are calling you more than your needs on the railway. Is it now appearing your dreams of this place is coming true to the both of you soon?'

Thomas. "Both Rosie and I had discussed this last night sir, that the homestead and resort have our attention the most especially during the summer Holiday and fall times."

Rosie. "WE still like to be part of your railway sir, but this place needs us more especially in these seasons that are coming our way soon."

Thomas. "The guests are hoping to meet up with both Rosie and I when our visitors come in to see us after learning about our humanization and learning all we did to become this independent with your help of course sir."

Rosie. "Especially when we are here to show them around our homestead, and the grounds everyone of them are exploring once they get here."

STH. "It sounds like you are now in charge of how you run things here, and I am very proud of the two of you and everyone else who are finding their talents beyond being really useful engines especially Oliver and Henry who found their callings beyond the tracks."

Oliver and Henry. "Thank you, sir."

Henry. "I have found the one dream I have always wanted to do, is to learn how to grow the various plants trees and shrubs rather they be for the home, business, or even to replant any removed items that were taken away by either storm or natural disasters. I can help have readily available resources to keep the Island green as it is."

Oliver. "My constant understanding of Island History makes me wonder about the periods this Island and the whole of Great Britain had seen before modernization had occurred along the way. That is why I created the historical builds with the tools and ornaments to help the reason of the items present when these people were about in these timelines."

Donald. "douggie and I help Oliver out when he make these builds of his, we get a history lesson in the process, and have great respect in those who had to make these structures when they were building them as a team."

Douglas. "Whereas before they did not have the advanced equipment we use today, I must give my respect to those who really know how to work hard to bring such structures to life when they did."

James. "the rest of us are still waiting for the day when we graduated too, that way I can join up with the Gresley brothers and the humanized American express engines on the railway close to Tidmouth Sheds."

STH. "I see, now that Gordon and Scott had joined up with the railway, I still wish you all good luck on your futures, and I see your future is assured Thomas, Ariel and Rosie. If ever you wish to return to work on the railway, all you need to do is to announce to me when you are ready."

Thomas, Ariel, and Rosie. "Yes Sir!"

Then Sir Topham Hat had left and allowed for Thomas and the rest to get their work on the homestead done for the events that will take off in a day or two. First Thomas and Edward help prepare the fish that the Skarlowey boys had caught the day before. While Thomas and Edward showed Skarlowey, Duke, and Rheneas how to clean and prepare the fish for brining, while Sir Handle, Peter Sam, and Duncan help to the wood pile to gather some smoking woods to help smoke cure the fish as it smokes. Ariel, Jessica James's Twin sister and lover Jasper help Luke and Rusty locate where to find the preferred wooden logs to chop down and peel the bark before able to smoke the fish once they are on the smoking racks.

Rusty. "How many more logs do we need Thomas?"

Edward. "I believe you may need another quart of wood Rusty so we can keep the temp just right for smoking."

Luke. "Coming right up Edward."

Everyone continued to work until something began to reach Thomas's and Edward's ears, it was the sounds of crying cows in the feeding range and that had alerted Thomas to get the attention of Toby, Percy, Mavis, and Polly about the animals becoming excited about something.

Edward. "Hey, wait what is that about?"

Thomas. "Edward the cows, Toby, Percy, range riders we need to get to the cows and find out what is going on.!" Thomas and Edward decided to gather their guns to make sure it was not a predator too close to the herd. All six of them headed to where the cows have been making the noise to see, that they were just calling their calves home for their supper. Realizing the coast is clear, everyone decided to continue with working on the fish while Toby, and his riding crew will head out to the feeding range to make sure it was all clear for the animals to feed in peace. "It is alright, the cows were just calling for their calves to make sure non wandered too far from their mother's calls."

Toby. "That is a relief just the same we range riders must do our part while you continue to help our little friends with their catches. Percy, Mavis, and Polly ready to do our jobs today?"

Percy. "We better that was a close call."

Polly. "don't worry everyone we just got to do our jobs today."

Mavis. "Don't worry we will be back to see our friends before they can return home with their catches."

That is what has happened, Thomas Edward and Oliver continue helping the young boys prepare their fish that are now ready for smoking. While all of this is going on, Rosie and Emily help show the boys on how to prepare the equipment they use to can their various items whether they are home grown edibles of the farm, field, and trails. To the various game the can from time to time even boneless hams. It took much of the day and soon the boys have seen how much canned goods they had managed to present not only to Mr. Percival, but with their friends who has shown what they do around the homestead. The don't just grow their farm goods, they also hunt, fish and gather the many things they harvested throughout the year to produce the amounts of food they need to survive the harsh cold winters of Sodor. The skarlowey boys are now understanding of what is means to be independent. It means to find your resources, learn as you go to understand the process of how everything must be prepared if one wished the survival skills needed not only for the homestead but to anywhere anyone would call home.
