Sabrina!

It was a beautiful day in Greenfield, the very town where one special family lived but despite the nice weather, for the Spellman family it was a new bittersweet day.

A few days ago, the family had received a call that some relatives had been an accident with only the daughter surviving while the parents had passed away in the crash.

So, it had been decided that the daughter would move in with her cousin's family in Greenfield but there was a slight problem with the Spellman's family that no one knew about.

"I can't believe Ophelia is coming today!" A blond haired girl said with a shout, this was Sabrina Spellman the cousin of the girl that was just mentioned who had lost her parents.

"Sabrina calm down." An old man's voice told her, the man is Uncle Quigley, he's Sabrina and Ophelia's maternal uncle who had agreed to take Ophelia in as her family wanted.

Ophelia and Sabrina were twin cousins with some minor differences, wheres Sabrina had blond hair, Ophelia had black hair, with beautiful green eyes while Sabrina had blue.

The cousins almost dressed the same as well, Sabrina wore a white shirt with pink strips, a pink skirt along with with pink and white sneakers which was now her signature look.

Ophelia on the other hand, wore a white shirt with purple strips, blue jeans along with purple and white sneakers, the colors helped their family keep track of who was who.

Just then, Sabrina's Aunts came into the room. "Sabrina, you have to stay calm and play nice with Ophelia." Aunt Zelda said as she adjusted her glasses, Sabrina sighed in reply.

"Why don't you like Ophelia again?" Aunt Hilda asked her niece, she was more relaxed than her sister. "It's not that I don't like Ophelia, I'm just nervous." Sabrina told her.

No one on the Spellman side of the family had seen Ophelia and her parents since the last family reunion with the Winters and that was at least five or six years ago at the latest.

Last anyone heard from them was when, Diana, Sabrina's mother had visited them before she went to Egypt for her archaeologist job at a new dig sight at the Pyramid of Djoser.

"I can't believe that I have to pretend to a normal house cat." A black cat moaned, this was Salem Saberhagen, a warlock who had been turned into a cat for trying to take over the world.

"Now remember you four, Ophelia can't know about magic so try keep it under wraps." Uncle Quigley said sternly, everyone on the Spellman side of the family was a witch or warlock.

Sabrina is half witch-half mortal, as her father is a warlock and her mother is a mortal and the only reason that Quigley knew was because he is the guardian of Sabrina and her Aunts.

Zelda and Hilda look like teenagers because they were punished for abusing their magic like Salem had done so the three of them had to be good and help Sabrina control her magic powers.

But they would get into even more trouble if Ophelia found out. "We know." The four replied with a sigh, just then, they heard the doorbell chime meaning that Ophelia was at the front door.

"I'll get it." Uncle Quigley told them, he went to answer the door and saw a young girl of twelve on the porch. "Hi, Uncle Quigley." A soft voice said to him, Quigley smiled softly at the young girl.

"Hello Ophelia." Quigley replied to her, as the two talked in the front hallway, Sabrina, Zelda, Hilda and Salem looked at Ophelia. "She's still your twin." Salem said with a smirk at Sabrina.

Sabrina blinked then glared at him. "We're not twins." Sabrina replied with a huff, her aunts thought otherwise. "Girls, come say hello!" Quigley called to them, the three girls jumped at that.

Ophelia looked at Sabrina and her Aunts. "Hey, Ophelia." Sabrina greeted with a nervous smile, the last time she'd seen her cousin was when they were six years old for the family reunion.

"Hi." Ophelia replied warily, she wasn't sure what it was about her cousin but Ophelia could tell that something about Sabrina had changed over the years and it wasn't just her style either.

The family felt awkward so they started to move Ophelia's things into her new bedroom which was right next to Sabrina's bedroom and it was made the same way with subtle changes to it.

Once that was done, Ophelia was left to unpack, so she hung up her posters of her favorite anime 'Little Witch Academia' put her clothes, Cd's and movies away in their proper spots of her room.

Then Ophelia set up her computer on her new desk along with her backpack after that, she hooked up her t.v. on the stand that was in front of her bed before putting up a picture next to it.

"Not bad." Ophelia said with a smile, but her smile turned into a sad frown when she looked at the picture of her family. "I'll try and make the best of it." Ophelia said to herself as she sat on her bed.

[Play Across the Sea from Mako Merimaids]

[Ophelia]

Though I'm far away,

Across the sea,

This moon keeps haunting me...

As I spread my wings,

And soar above,

It's you, you're guiding me...

And the morning sun,

Still shines on me,

I feel your power too...

And the passing tide,

In paradise,

As we stand beneath this full moon...

At the end of the song, Ophelia smiled a little since the song her mother used to sing would always cheer her right up. "It's almost magical." Ophelia said with a giggle, she shook her head.

What Ophelia didn't know was that her singing had gotten the attention of Zelda and Hilda. "You don't think...?" Hilda asked before trailing off, Zelda knew exactly what her sister asked.

"It's impossible. I mean, we would've sensed it before hand." Zelda replied with uncertainty, the sisters knew that they would have to keep an eye on their niece just to be on the safe side.

That mostly meant keeping the queen of all witches and the witches council from finding out about Ophelia in case it turned out that she somehow has magic even though she isn't a Spellman.

If indeed, Ophelia somehow had magic then the whole netherworld would be talking about it and if word reached Tim the witch hunter, then Ophelia would be tons of danger from both.

So Zelda and Hilda, (who had enlisted Salem) agreed to watch out for any signs of magic coming from Ophelia while she was living with them so they could stop her from getting hurt by it.

The three also decided not to tell Sabrina and Quigley in case they were wrong and Ophelia turned to out to be fully mortal, the girls really hoped that they were wrong about this one.

For now, it was dinner time and everyone went to the dinning room to eat and catch up while Sabrina filled Ophelia in on who to watch out for at school since there would be some bullies.

After dinner, Ophelia went up to her room and got ready for bed. "I hope that I can fit in at school and avoid the bullies." Ophelia whispered to herself, she had enough of bulling already.

Once Ophelia was in bed, she switched off the lights then drifted off to dreamland all while dreaming of her parents and the car crash, wishing that it had never happened in the first place.

First chapter done! I don't own either songs in this chapter, and this takes place during the animated series. Please review and no flames!
