Godzilla and the H.E.A.T. Team sees another Godzilla
It was late in the evening in New York City. The sun had set not too long ago and the lights had come on everywhere. And on Stanton Island, the H.E.A.T. Team were enjoying a little relaxation after another mission dealing with the latest mutant problem. The six humans and the robot N.I.G.E.L. stood on the balcony overlooking a relaxing Godzilla. The mutant iguana was currently curled up and had his head against the side of the building looking out to the ocean. Randy, the hacker of the group, was munching on a candy bar and swallowed what he had before asking, "I wonder what's going on with the Big Guy?"
His teammates looked to him and he said, "You know, cause he's not down in his lair where he usually sits until there's a call for action."
"Though I find it a little odd myself," Nick, the leader of the team and Godzilla's surrogate father, said as he leaned down on the side of the building and rested his arms against it, "perhaps this some new behavior of Godzilla that we've never seen before."
"Well, he has acted odd before." Elsie Chapman, the paleontologist who helped defeat the first Godzilla and now a part of the group, put in. All five of the humans nodded in agreement as they all had seen Godzilla do a few odd things in their lives. Even Monique had seen Godzilla do a few amazing things such as spare lives, save lives and other things.
"Maybe he just want to spend more time with us." N.I.G.E.L said as if he were a young child. Mendel looked to Randy who could only shrug while Elsie covered her mouth and lightly giggled at that.
Suddenly, Godzilla lifted his head when he sensed something and it didn't go unnoticed by the team. When Godzilla stood fully up, they all became worried as Mendel looked about and asked, "Uh, what's going on?"
"I'm not sure." Nick said as they watch Godzilla look around before setting his gaze out at the water. When they all looked to see what their mutant friend was seeing, that's when they heard a deep rumbling coming from the sea. It wasn't too much longer when they noticed that the water was starting to churn a few good yards from the lab. Elsie looked to Nick and asked, "Do you think that it's another mutant?"
"Probably." Nick said as the churning increased and a blue light pulsed from underneath the water.
They were all amazed when a giant, square shaped reptilian head broke through the surface of the water. It was followed by a large chest, maple leaf shaped dorsal plates and two large muscular arms. The creature's dorsal plates pulsed blue as the light traveled up to its head. The creature's eyes glowed blue for a brief moment before it took a deep breath and threw its head back. Opening its maw wide, it released a torrent of blue fire up into the air. Everyone, human, robot and mutation, watched in amazement to the pillar of fire as it went up high into the air. Godzilla's own dorsal plates flashed green as it traveled up his back before he threw his head back and released a torrent of green of fire. Nick, Elsie, Mendel, Monique, Randy all became surprised by this while N.I.G.E.L started to twist and turn its head. The creature looked over to the mutant as it continued its pillar of blue fire. When the blue pillar started to die down so did the green one.
Both Godzilla and the mysterious monster looked to each other when they lowered their heads. The bigger monster gave a low rumble that Godzilla answered in return. The bigger creature's gaze shifted towards the humans standing on the building next to Godzilla. Returning its gaze to Godzilla, the creature let loose an earth shattering roar that made Nick and the others cover their ears. Godzilla returned the roar in kind with his own unique roar. The bigger creature gave one more rumble before turning back to open waters. H.E.A.T. and Godzilla all watched as the large creature swam horizontally and its dorsal plates started to submerge under the water. When they were completely under, the group listened out to see if they could still hear the creature's rumbling. They were completely surprised when the bay had become quiet once again.
"Okay, if no one else's gonna ask then I will." Randy said. Looking between his friends he asked, "What the heck was that?"
"Scan complete." N.I.G.E.L said from behind. The group looked to the robot as it said, "Subject's carbon dating reveals creature to be over a few thousand years old."
"But that's not possible." Mendel said as he found what his creation said to be incredulous. Elsie then said, "Why not? We know of a few monsters to be a few good millennia old. And not all of them were from Earth."
"I didn't think that he truly existed." Monique said as she continued gazing out to the sea. Randy looked to her and asked, "Monique?"
"You know what that thing was?" Nick asks, equally curious. Monique nodded and said, "He is what the Japanese folklore is about."
"Wait? You mean what the people in Japan call this guy?" Randy asks as he pointed with his thumb to Godzilla. Monique nodded and said, "That is also who our ancestors referred to as Godzilla."
Godzilla looked out to the ocean before letting loose a roar to his fellow monster, Godzilla, King of the Monsters!

Author's Note: This one was really fun to write. And I apologize if it wasn't long enough. Who knows, I might make another one and make it a little longer. But I didn't make them fight because since they're both Godzilla, and I think that since one is king of Titans and the other is king of Mutations, that they might have a little more respect for each other. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
