With a long. hard road ahead of them, they will break through walls and obstacles in order to beome better than anyone had ever expected them to be.
When Izuku Midoriya was born, Inko looked into his eyes and said, "You will live and do great things", and then kissed him on the cheek.
Even though her husband had left her before their child had been born, she could never regret having fallen in love with him if it meant her little baby could be born. For a while she'd been regretful of how she'd been left all alone and pregnant, hating how life could be so cruel. But now that she'd held him in her arms? She loved him, and would do anything in her power to make sure that he would be a great man some day.
She could imagine how he'd grow up and go to school for the first time, drive his first car, get his first girlfriend (or boyfriend, it wouldn't really matter to her, as long as he was happy), drive his first car.
He would then graduate from school and get a job, and maybe, start a family.
Yes, she would support him for as long as she is able, until he is able to gain a footing in this world and live out his own life.
"Again mom! Again!" cried izuku, wiggling in the office chair.
His mom chuckled, amused by his antics. "again, Izuku? You've watched this video millions of times now, half the views are probably yours by now!". Nevertheless, she played the youtube video again.
Izuku looked up again at the youtube video. All might appeared on screen with a booming laugh, having saved all the civilians from the disaster zone.
He wanted to be a hero just like him! All might always saves everyone with a smile, so that when they see him they won't be scared anymore. He can defeat any villain with his super strength. He wants a strong quirk just like All Mights!
Kacchan always tells him that to be a hero you need a strong quirk. Izuku wanted to disagree, but Kacchan never lies, so he believed him.
"Mama, do you think i'll have a strong quirk like all might?"
"Well, you're around that age where you would develop a quirk. Maybe it will be a combination of my attraction and fire breathing, or something related to them. Maybe you'll even have a totally different quirk, that happens sometimes. Katsuki developed his quirk, today, didn't he?"
"Yea, it's super cool! It's called explosion and his sweat is nitr-nitroglo-ni… his sweat explodes!"
She laughed at the fact that the boy with an explosive personality has an explosive quirk to match. "That quirk fits him, huh izuku?"
"Huh? I guess so"
His mom glanced at the clock on the wall and saw the time.
"Time for bed Izuku, you have school tomorrow"
Awww man, he wanted to watch more videos about heroes! Well, he could always wait until tomorrow. He was getting a little sleepy anyways.
A few days later, he went to school with an achy everything. His back hurt, he had a headache, his lower back hurt, and his canine teeth too. He went to school anyway because he loved school and didn't want to worry his momma. Besides, he wanted to see Kacchan again!
He walked inside the daycare where he could see kacchan showing off his quirk even though they're technically not allowed to. He walked over to him excitedly with a big smile.
"Kacchan!"
Kacchan turns around to look at him. Izuku runs over and gives him a hug.
Kacchan always likes to act tough and pretend that he doesn't need hugs, but Izuku knows he likes them! Sometimes he can catch Kacchan smiling when he thinks no one is looking.
They make their way back to the other kids in the daycare, where they were playing heroes.
"Kacchan can definitely be a hero now, cause he's got a quirk now!" Izuku exclaimed excitedly.
"Of course I'm a hero, ya nerd! I'll be the best one ever, wait and see!"
They all stacked up a bunch of blocks so they could be buildings and put in some toy dinosaurs as villains who were destroying the city, and as they knocked over the dinos to 'defeat' the villains, Kacchan shouting "die you damn villains!", Kacchan turned around to look at him, then widened his eyes.
"Izu-chan!"
"What Kacchan?"
Kacchan grabbed him by the elbow and dragged him to the bathroom, placing him in front of the mirror.
Izuku gasps at what he sees.
Where Izuku's eyes were once a bright emerald green, they were now a bright fiery red.
"Izuku your hands!"
He held his hands in front of his face and saw that his fingernails were turning ash black at the base.
"I think this might be part of your quirk Izu-kun!" kacchan said excitedly to his friend.
He had to show momma!
When His mom showed up to take him home, Izuku ran up to her and gave her a big bear hug.
"Mom! Mom! I think I'm getting my quirk! My eyes are red and my nails are turning black and my nails are super duper thick-"
"They're not that impressive nerd-"
"-and I think I might get something with fire 'cause my dad's eyes glowed red when he used his quirk, right?"
His mom gave him her signature warm smile and patted his head, which caused him to wince and duck his head. She frowned at him, worried. "Izuku?"
Izuku looked at her sheepishly. "Sorry momma, didn't want to worry you. My head, back, and teeth hurt".
She looked at him with narrowed eyes as if saying why didn't you tell me?
He quickly tries to defend himself. "I just didn't want to worry you! And I think this is 'cause of my quirk now!"
His mom sighed. "It's alright Izuku, but I think we should still pay a visit to a quirk specialist just to make sure it's your quirk and not something serious, ok?"
He nodded quickly, his head a blur. "Okay momma!"
He said goodbye to Kacchan, and then they were on their way to the quirk specialist.
After arriving at the quirk specialist's office, they were asked all kinds of questions and took all kinds of tests to see what kind of quirk it might end up being, and how it might develop.
In taking his temperature they discover that his body temperature is warmer than it usually is, and in further tests of his temperature, they discover that he is especially warm in both his hands, indicating that part of his quirk may be heat based.
An X-ray revealed that he is growing horns on the top of his head, and bones are growing outwards near his shoulder blades, which indicate that he may be growing wings, but they are not sure what they might look like.
An examination of his hands showed that he is growing claws, and his still-blunt nails have turned even more black now than it was earlier. They will become sharper and tougher.
His teeth were also checked so they had an X-ray done on those too, where they saw that his canine teeth would eventually fall out and be replaced by new ones, so he might have fangs as well.
"Well Ms. Midoriya, it looks like this is it so far. It looks like his quirk will be quite different than of you or his father. Let me know if there are any new developments. Are there any other questions? "
Inko shook her head. This was all she needed to know. She'll have to make sure to stop by the store to get pain medicine and some heat packs or ice packs for any pain from the horns, wings, or fangs.
"Well then Ms. Midoriya, I wish you a good rest of your day"
Inko never made it home.
Inspired by a fic called "HOW IS THIS DEMON SO ANGELIC?" by ShinsouHitoshiBestBoi on Archive of Our Own. It is abandoned and up for adoption, but while this fic does has many similarities to it, i won't consider this an adoption of this fic because I'll be making a lot changes to it. Certain events on the beggining of both fics will be the same, but happen differently from each other. here is what changed and stayed the same:
SPOILERS FOR BOTH THEIR FIC AND FUTURE EVENTS IN MINE:
- The ship changed (theirs is shindeku, mine is bakudeku).
- Inko still dies, and Izuku, Katsuki, and Mitsuki witness it, but happens in a store in mine instead of on their way home.
- Aizawa knows that part of it was Endeavor's fault but blames himself for being unable to save Inko.
- I did the math, Aizawa would be around 20-21, so he's a rather new hero and not teaching at UA yet.
-Present Mic is still not famous for this reason.
- izuku has still at least recognized them from the sports festival.
- Aizawa and Hizashi still adopt Izuku.
-Izuku is not a super genious and his quirk is no longer OP. He will have mutations like claws, horns, fangs, and wings, but i removed the tail. He has only one type of fire now, and it's normal fire. Everything else was removed, and his color scheme changed a little to include less red.
-Izuku is still bullied for looking demon, but i made his transformation much slower so this happens farther into the future.
-Baguko is a support friend. I feel like after all they've seen, they would lean on each other. Baguko never turns his back on Izuku.
- if you look at my tags, my fic will be VERY different from here on out.
My fic diverges from the original at the point where the author abandoned the fic, and will be COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from that point inward. I used their fic as a jumping off point, and from here on I made changes that made this fic my own.
