it was the first night the class of 1a was in the new dorms the school had built. Well all but one, deku had gone off to the roof shortly after unpacking. The others grew worried when he dissapeared. So as a group they had gone to find him. After a while they did find him, on the roof. Ochako being the one closest to him was deemed the one to talk to him.
"Deku, is... Is something wrong"? Asked ochako.
"Sigh, yeah, i...i just feel like i dunno, maybe im not cut out for this". Said deku.
"What do you mean"? Asked ochako confused.
"This! All of this, being a hero, saving others, i just, i feel like ive failed before i even began". Said deku.
Shocked at dekus words ochako was frozen.
The rest having heard were no better, each felt the harshness in his voice.
"Thats not true! I have seen your determination and drive to be such a great hero". Said ochako.
"Open your eyes ochako! My body was destroyed at the entrance exam, kacchan nearly killed me during the battle trial, i and the others broke the rules to rescue kacchan, which lead to all might retiring, so i ask you how can i continue after all that"? Asked deku in tears.
Ochako and the others couldnt believe that he felt this way. They all thought he was someone who couldnt falter, maybe they didnt know him like they believed they did.
Ochako had it the worst, having a crush on him, seeing him like this, her heart cried out for him.
"That may be true, but you had destroyed your body SAVING ME, you stood up to your rival during the battle trial, you and the rest broke the rules because you felt in your heart it was what any hero worth his salt would do, all mights retirement had nothing to do with you, we all saw him in his last fight, he gave it his all and still stands tall against the odds. I kmow youll be the same deku".
"How can you have such faith in me? Im just someone in over his head". Said deku looking away.
"I have faith in you, because in my heart of hearts i know your going to be the best, better then all might himself. Here give me your hand". Said ochako grabbing his hand placing it over her heart, and her breast.
"Feel that? Thats my heart, its what helps me keep my faith in you. When i see you out there all i see is a hero saving the world, and im not the only one, look". Said ochako as she turned him toward their friends.
Seeing all of them come foward with smiles, brought deku to tears and the class got into a group hug with deku in the middle.
That night deku realized that his doubts was powerless in the face of the faith his friends had for him, and the hero who would save the world was saved himself, as long as hus friends stayed by his side he would never forget.
