James Potter's been always in love with Lily Evans. This one moment that happened in their 5th year only proves the fact that he was acting quite like an idiot who couldn't take no for an answer.

''Why I love Lily Evans – there's not every reason, because you lot don't need to know everything, but there's few even you can notice -''

''Potter get down. You can stop with this charade because not even this will make me go out with you.''

Lily always laughs when they talk about their past. James not so much, but he always ended their conversation with; ''I still got the girl though, so who's the real winner here? You secretly liked these cheesy gestures anyway.''

So, when she disagreed, he decided to finish his list, but this time he's going to only read it to her and not the whole common room.

The next day, Lily was patiently sitting on his bed and listened to his voice while he was reading his letter.

Few things that I love about my Lily.

''Have you noticed how I changed it to my Lily? Oh yeah, I got the girl now.''

''Ha hah yes, I've noticed James.''

I love the way her hair shines in the sun.

''When you see Evans, the first thing you notice is her auburn hair. How it lazily sits on her back in waves like a waterfall. We can't forget about how amazing it smells because - damn.''

Lily giggled and grabbed James's hand. She didn't actually think he's going to do it.

I love the way she looks at me with her beautiful eyes.

''Don't even let me start about her eyes. These big, green eyes will knock you out from your broom in a second. I still remember the moment when she looked at me and said she loves me back. I completely forgot how to breathe.''

I love the way her smile lights up the whole room.

''Her smile got me first, to be honest. When you're close to her, you can see that it's not perfect, which makes it even cuter. I knew that there's no way back when she laughed and showed me that adorable smile of hers.''

I love how I can leave her speechless.

''Oh yeah. She's awfully bad at taking compliments. And flirting back? Let me tell you, she's great at that but only when she doesn't really know she's flirting or when she flirts first. But when I start? There's no way.'' James said, and Lily laughed. She playfully punched him in the arm.

''Always knowing what to say, but not here, huh Evans?''

''Oh, shush it and continue!''

James was taken back with her words. ''Someone's greedy!''

I love how she's smart.

''Lily Evans, she thinks she's the best student in Hogwarts, but in reality, that's me, and she's just close. That's right, I said it. But no, seriously... she's really smart. I love when she corrects me or forces me to finish my homework.''

''James!''

''Right, we don't talk about that – hey!'' He almost got punched by a pillow if he didn't move away from her.

I love how she's drooling on my pillow.

''Yes. Lily Evans does that, but I wouldn't trade her for anything. I want her to drool on my pillow until the rest of our lives.''

I love how I can talk about everything with her and how she makes me laugh.

''I've always known she's perfect for me. That's why I didn't give up, and when we started again as friends, I realised that I can't let this girl go, because she makes me feel like no one else ever did.''

I love how she always looks perfect.

''That also might be because I love her, but what can I do, right? She's just beautiful.''

''Oh yeah?'' Lily asks and gets up from the bed, so she's standing right in front of him, wearing only his shirt. She is quite tall, a little bit smaller than him, but who isn't. Although, she still needs to stand on her tiptoes when she wants to give him an unexpected kiss. Just like now. ''I love you.''

And lastly, I'll forever be grateful that she gave me a chance and loves me back.

''Nobody compares to you, my love. And this is not even all the reasons, but if I wrote down every one of them, I think we would be here until the next year.''

''Nobody compares to you either, James.''

''What a lucky guy I am.'' He says and puts his hands on her waist, slowly moving down to her bum. ''Wanna do some, you know…'' James winks which make Lily giggle and slightly go red in her face.

She kisses him again and this time they don't talk at all.
