"Jinn," whispered Firecoral, and Jinn spun around and smiled. "Hi, you're back from hunting!" Jinn exclaimed, smiling. Firecoral nodded. "Yes, I am. I almost ran into the village where you abandoned your parents," he told Jinn, and she gasped. "We've been going in a circle?" she cried. "I'm a terrible nomad!" Firecoral laughed after Jinn's comment of displeasure, and comforted her by wrapping his tail around hers. "Let's visit," Jinn whispered, and Firecoral's eyes widened. "You want to visit your parents?" he mumbled. Jinn nodded, tears brimming in her eyes. "I didn't even say goodbye..."
Firecoral growled, softly, but still enough for Jinn to turn her head sharply and say, "You don't have any say in this! They're MY parents!" Firecoral sighed and snapped his tail back to him. "Look, I'm going. If I'm not back by Midnight, come get me," Jinn snapped, and she stormed off toward her village.
"Hi, um, I'm looking for Mr. and Mrs. Sundrowner?" Jinn said to a passing trader. The trader just looked at her and then turned his cart, running off. Finally, Jinn came to a messenger's hut, and the messenger smiled sweetly. "What can I do for you, miss?" she asked. "Well, I'm looking for Mr. and Mrs. Sundrowner," Jinn explained. The messenger looked at her. "Did they owe you money?" The messenger asked sympathetically. Jinn blinked. "Um, no," she mumbled. "They are my parents," she said, looking up nervously into the messenger's eyes. They widened and the messenger brought her into the space behind her hut.
"Miss, you are in trouble. I'm Sash, and your parents are in the Forgotten Fog," Sash explained, watching Jinn's expression change to pure horror. "The forgotten fog?" Jinn whispered. "Where you get brainwashed and forget about everything and die?!" she screamed, and Sash put a talon to her snout. "Be quiet!" Sash scolded. Jinn scowled. "What could they've possibly done?" Jinn exclaimed, her talons clenching into a fist. "They tried to murder the queen and succeeded," Sash explained, and Jinn's face grew white. "They said she had kidnapped their daughter, but the queen said she didn't," Sash added. "No. NO! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" Jinn screamed, her eyes brimming with tears and her heart falling to the bottom of the Eternal Abyss.
"I assume you're the daughter?" Sash guessed, and Jinn yelled yes into her face, still screaming for her life. "I didn't think they cared!" She yelled. Sash cupped Jinn's face with her claws. "You're a wanted dragon," she whispered. "Never tell anyone who you are, and I suggest you get far, far away from this place," Sash recommended, and Jinn, still sobbing, slipped out and back to Firecoral, her "loyal" SeaWing boyfriend that had caused her so much trouble.
"My parents are trapped in the Forgotten Fog, and I'm going to save them," Jinn told her when she reached him. "Jinn..." Firecoral started, then sighed. "I'm breaking up with you," he told her. "Firecoral-" "No, Jinn. You have to chose. Me or your family," Firecoral whispered. "My family," Jinn whispered. She thought he hadn't hear but he had, and he was heading away into the forest.
Jinn was on her own."Jinn," whispered Firecoral, and Jinn spun around and smiled. "Hi, you're back from hunting!" Jinn exclaimed, smiling. Firecoral nodded. "Yes, I am.
