Lacey didn't know what to do. Danny was forcing her to control what they did. He has a girlfriend, she kept telling herself. But she couldn't ignore the pit in her stomach. She wanted him, she even wanted him in her dream but she got distracted and he was gone. Is that this moment?
So she did it.
She kissed him.
It was aggressive, and Danny quickly caught on and pushed her against the wall. Their tongues danced in each other's mouths, and jackets came off, then shirts, until they started working on the rest of their clothes. Danny's hands were all over her, and he managed to get her bra off in one hand movement.
He kissed all over her chest, taking a nipple into his mouth. He knew exactly what to do, and Lacey was moaning. She remembered the amazing things his mouth could do.
She missed this.
Soon Danny's hand was in her pants, playing with her wetness and pushing a finger in her. Lacey moaned loudly and Danny kissed her to silence her pleasure. Danny felt himself getting hard and he needed to be inside of her.
Lacey was shaking. Had it really been this long? She remembered what he felt like inside her, and how she barely got to enjoy it back then. She thought about how he's probably improved because everyone knows he has a lot of sex.
He has a girlfriend.
Lacey quickly had to stop her pleasure. He was still in the process of taking off his pants then Lacey grabbed his wrist that was fingering her to stop him. She let out one half-moan before he was fully out of her. Danny was about to object when Lacey stopped him and collected her bra and clothes on the floor.
"Danny you have a girlfriend. I can't believe we just- oh my God, you have a girlfriend," Lacey mumbled. She tried to fix her hair and put on her clothes as fast as possible. Danny stood frozen, also realizing the extent of what he did, "We just went over all of this weekend and here we are! Where is the willpower? The control? Oh my god, this is ridiculous, I can't believe I just did that."
"Lace- wait," Danny started before Lacey opened the class door. It was good they stopped when they did as they saw students trying to walk in the classroom on the other side. If they went any further they easily could have been suspended and everyone would know.
"What? I have to leave before I feel even worse about this, it shouldn't have happened Danny," she said breathlessly. Danny noted she sounded like she was going to cry. She would never want to cheat with anyone.
"I'm sorry, I just think we should talk about this," Danny said.
Lacey couldn't meet his eyes he was still looking sexy and fixing his long hair.
"This just shouldn't have happened, Danny. We can't tell anyone."
"And have more secrets?"
"Sasha would be heartbroken. Don't do it."
"Sasha's going to be heartbroken anyway. I only care about you." Danny didn't realize what he said. Lacey visibly tensed.
"Stop it, Danny it's over. We were kids and curious. You're in a legitimate relationship now so nothing can happen anyway," Lacey said, practically to herself.
"If it was over that wouldn't have happened."
"Well, you could've done that when you didn't have a girlfriend. But now you miss me? You were fine burying your dick in any cute girl you saw. Before you made out with another girl right in front of me a week later at Regina's kickback? You could've done that before showing me you didn't want me. You don't have the right to talk to me about this. I can't believe I almost had sex with you again."
Lacey was panting at the end of her tangent.
"I didn't mean to h-"
"You didn't mean to hurt me, Danny? Like after you tell me you love me and never show any type of love toward me again? After we would hook up every day and there wouldn't be any semblance of a romantic relationship between us-"
"You can't blame that on me! You didn't want to tell anyone because it would be confusing. Anytime I tried to define what we were before I left, you would change the subject or kiss me or do anything to avoid talking about us. Lacey, you were the one that was scared to be with me. I wanted you and you didn't answer my calls," Danny stepped closer to Lacey, and they were both fuming, "I loved you. You avoided me, and Jo, and drowned yourself in other dates with these 'popular' guys that could boost your social status so people would talk about you. You loved the secrecy and the danger of being caught, but I loved you. I wanted to be that guy for you. You didn't give me the chance."
Lacey stopped.
She forgot about that part of the problem. They both said they loved each other, but they were in the throes of passion, it wasn't actually real. Or at least that's what Lacey thought.
She moved further away before Danny said one last thing. Lacey realized they were in the hallway during lunch and had attracted some looks from students around them, wondering why their conversation was so heated.
"I'm breaking up with Sasha tonight," Danny whispered as he grabbed her arm
Lacey pushed him away from her and straightened her top, before hurrying down the halls of Green Grove High School.
LACEY'S ROOM
The dinner was fine. She and Danny put up as much of a front as they could so that Jo could have her normal dinner with her two best friends, and Rico. However, Rico kept staring at her all night, so she had to watch her every move. Jo probably told him to watch her in case he caught anything that could be construed as Lacey and Danny hooking up.
Lacey had gotten to Jo's house first, and Jo arrived a few minutes later. Jo immediately ran to the bathroom and then Danny arrived. Lacey felt her chest tighten when she was the one that had to open the door for him. She looked away from him so he wouldn't get the satisfaction of her attention. To her dismay, he sat next to her, but to her happiness, he was in a position where they wouldn't see each other in their line of vision.
"Hey, how was the rest of your day?" Danny asked as they settled on Jo's couch. Lacey made sure none of her body was touching his as she had a sip of her water. She aggressively wished it was vodka.
"Fine." She said curtly. She heard Danny sigh next to her and refused to look at him. They sat in awkward silence until the doorbell rang again. It was Rico and Lacey felt comfortable enough to ignore Danny for the rest of the night, which is exactly what she did.
She never asked if he broke up with Sasha because she didn't need to know.
Lacey groaned and laid on her bed. She was supposed to be doing homework not thinking about whether or not Danny had actually broken up with Sasha. She doesn't know why he would leave her, especially because Lacey didn't know if she wanted to be with him anyway. Lacey didn't understand her feelings for him yet so she didn't know why he was dropping the ball so quickly.
She and Danny are just strange and horny and slightly codependent. And she wanted him so badly. Danny must have wanted to end things quickly with Sasha so he wouldn't feel guilty. Se felt overwhelming guilt, even though she hated the other girl.
Lacey hated Sasha, but she would never want to take someone's boyfriend, whether he's Danny Desai or not. And was Danny expecting to ask Lacey to be his girlfriend? All of a sudden he wanted to walk the halls of Green Grove hand-in-hand? Lacey didn't think so.
She stood up to pace and think about what she would say to Danny if and when he came over. Would she kiss him? Have sex with him? Or fight him, yell at him?
She probably couldn't do any of these things because she wouldn't want to wake up her mother. She kept pacing when her phone vibrated. Lacey practically jumped back onto her bed where her phone was and when she saw Danny's name pop up on her phone.
She involuntarily smiled and went to unlock her window that always let Danny Desai in. She heard shuffling outside, then saw a bun bobbing from under the window. He easily hoisted himself through and Lacey stepped back to give him space. Once he got in the room he would always pose like he completed a noble feat. Lacey didn't smile, she still didn't know where they stood.
She crossed her arms as they stood in silence looking at each other. Daring the other person to start talking first.
Danny had his hands in his pockets, and he even changed his outfit from when they just had dinner. Lacey scoffed, knowing what this meant. He slept with Sasha and they never broke up.
Danny gave her an incredulous look as she started laughing, quietly of course so she didn't wake her mother.
"Why are you laughing? Do I have something on my face?" Danny asked with confusion. He pushed his hands further into his pockets and stepped a little closer into Lacey's room. He was just there a few days ago, but her laughing felt foreign.
"You fucked her," Lacey said point-blank.
Danny laughed at that.
"No, why would you think that?"
"Well- your clothes are different. I assumed there was breakup sex," Lacey trailed off. Danny laughed a bit again and she had to shush him.
"No, but-"
"But?" She scoffed, preparing to hear his excuse.
"She didn't really understand what I was saying and kept repeating that I was lying. Then there was crying and she tried to kiss me or entice me but I told her I couldn't stay over," he said nonchalantly. Lacey scoffed again, "Lace can you stop scoffing, I really don't get it."
"So, why are we here Danny."
"Well you live here," Danny joked and Lacey hid her smile. He took that as a cue to step closer so he was now only three feet from where Lacey was standing, "And I am here to formally ask you, Lacey Porter, Green Grove Royalty, to consider me. To seriously consider me in a way outside of friendship."
"You guys just broke up!" Lacey said. Danny nodded his head and agreed with her.
"That's true... but-"
"When's the last time you had sex then?"
"Umm… this morning."
Lacey felt her heart stop. This morning? They almost hooked up this morning and he's saying he was just with her.
"You're a pig."
Danny laughed a little and met her eyes. He sat down on the window seat.
"Lacey, in all honesty, I'm a shitty person. I knew I didn't care about her feelings and I just feel kind of slimy. We were together today and all I thought about was you. All I think about is you. I don't remember one thing that happened at dinner because I was just waiting to end things with Sasha and race here to be alone with you."
"Why did you change your clothes?" Lacey asked. She sat on her bed parallel from him. It felt like they were in an interview.
"I showered. For a while. I just wanted to wash the guilt off. I wanted to wash off the past few months from my memory. We barely talk and I miss you and I realized this was all my own doing," Danny began.
"I'll do anything for you." He stated seriously. Lacey felt her resolve weaken, and she went to sit next to him.
"I made mistakes too, Danny. It's unfair to pin all of this on you."
"I don't care how long you need to trust me, I can wait," Danny took his hand in hers.
"I don't know when you decided that I am such a saint," Lacey said while laughing a bit. Danny gave her a small smile.
"What are you talking about? You're practically an angel. So pure and kind," Dany said sarcastically. She playfully shoved his shoulder.
"Too far, Desai! Don't forget you were the one dick deep in a sophomore this morning."
Danny laughed more and grabbed both of her hands. This felt right. He knew he was finally making the right decision.
"I love you," Danny said as leaned in and closed the space between them. His hands cradled her face as he deepened the kiss, with his hands moving around her waist. There was no guilt or apprehension between them. They were on track to doing things the right way.
"Wait, Danny. We still have a lot to figure out," she protested in between his kisses, "actually, this is more important."
Lacey eagerly kissed him back. They didn't watch their volume level, but all the kissing drowned out the moans and laughter that escaped them.
Danny couldn't get over how easy it felt. Kissing her and holding her close like their skin was made for each other. Feeling her against him was natural. He wanted to be inside her again.
She felt herself getting excited and she wanted to finish what started in the classroom earlier in the day.
"Do you have a condom?" She asked.
"No," Danny replied, he completely forgot about condoms since he was with Sasha, who was on birth control. Danny panicked, he didn't want this to stop before it started. "Lacey, I can also pull out," he reassured her. Lacey laughed a bit at this but continued kissing him passionately, and moved them towards her bed.
Danny moved his body on top of hers, kissing her neck and collarbones. She knew she was going to have some marks in the morning but she didn't care. She was sick of being cautious and apologetic. She wanted him.
"I can just get Plan B in the morning," Lacey said with a grin. Danny's eyes lit up and they soon removed all of their clothes. They were both so ready and needed no foreplay. She didn't care that he was with Sasha earlier, she didn't care about anything.
"I love you, Danny," she whispered to him as he pushed inside her. Lacey cried out and wrapped her legs around him in such a familiar way. There were so many new sensations now that she was completely sober, and he felt amazing. His hair covered their kissing faces like a curtain, and his toned arms made her feel completely secure at that moment.
He began thrusting inside her, this time with more skill than their first rendezvous. It was so different and, honestly, fantastic. She was moaning into his shoulder, trying to be as quiet as she could. They matched each other's breathing and Danny went faster and harder. He moved her hands above her head and pushed her legs back to get a deeper angle. Lacey cried out and Danny laughed a bit before quieting her.
Danny stared down at her, with sweat lightly on her forehead, her flexible and lean body spread beneath him. He felt her walls tighten, and he wanted to hear her moan so badly.
"Lace, say my name," Danny breathed into her ear. Her breath caught as he began lightly rubbing her clit as he fucked her deeper into the bed. Lacey let out a soft cry from the intensity, she hardly heard him. He repeated himself, and she muttered his name.
"Louder," Danny commanded. Lacey felt a shiver and knew she was close, he was close too.
"Danny," she said, louder.
"Louder."
"Danny," this was more of a cry, and Danny felt himself begin to lose it.
"Fuck, Lacey," He kept thrusting into her, his stroke more erratic and sporadic than his previous sensual movements.
Danny didn't want to pull out, and at that moment Lacey secured his hips into her when she wrapped her legs around his. He was shocked but buried himself into her neck. Lacey kept moaning, loudly, and she slightly realized what she had done when Danny was letting out expletives and her name continuously.
Lacey, who had been in her orgasm for a while, finally moaned his name as she caught her breath. Their bodies relaxed, and Danny rolled his body off hers onto the bed.
"I'm going to need Plan B," Lacey giggled as she turned towards him, basking in the afterglow of the best orgasm he ever gave her.
"I'll go by CVS before school starts," Danny said and leaned forward to kiss her lips softly. They were still naked, cuddled up to each other. Danny was tracing her face, peppering kisses all over her.
"So, what are we?" Danny asked, half-joking which earned him a laugh from Lacey.
"I don't know, are we just together now?" she said. She wasn't sure they needed a full label yet.
"So in school, how do we act?"
"The same as usual."
"No, then it would end up the way it was when we started hooking up in March. I want to kiss you whenever I want around whoever was there."
"That would be confusing because you just broke up with Sasha today. We can't go from 0-100 so quickly."
"Says who?"
"Says everything! Also, Sasha could still be really hurt by the breakup. You don't want to rub it in her face that you guys are over."
"I just hated having to pick you up in the dead of the night to be able to touch you," Danny whined.
"Fine, we can start slow. You can hold onto me while we talk, and maybe make out in your car in the morning. So it's like hiding in plain sight thing." Laced theorized.
"Uh-"
"That's my best offer, Desai." Lacey smiled
"Fine, fine," Danny conceded and kissed Lacey again. He moved his hands to touch her most sensitive spots again, "But before I go tonight, I need to be in you one more time."
Lacey laughed then swiftly moved her body on top of him, "Let's go, Desai."
SCHOOL, THE NEXT DAY
"I'm so glad dinner went well yesterday, it feels like we are all just one big group again," Jo said to Lacey. Lacey smiled at Jo, she felt bad she wasn't planning on telling her everything that happened with Danny, but she also didn't know how Jo would feel about her best friends sleeping together.
"That reminds me, I'm thinking of throwing a party this weekend. My mom is going to be traveling for work and I can drop Clara off at a friend's house," Lacey said. Jo shrugged, not really caring about the parties at Green Grove. Her friend did throw the best parties, but she knew Tyler would be there scheming ways to get her to talk to him or go even further.
"Yeah, that could be good. How does your mom never find out about these parties you always throw?" Jo asked, "I think my dad is working nights at the station this weekend, so just be careful. I'll try and come but you know how they are about parties, especially yours."
Lacey feigned shock, "My parties are wholesome endeavors! They are practically networking events," she said with a grin. Jo laughed and they continued their walk through the hallways of Green Grove. As they walked, Lacey said hi to some acquaintances when her eyes landed on Sasha, who was leaning against her locker talking to Archie. Lacey rolled her eyes and wondered if Sasha had moved on already to a different guy. However, Lacey saw the tiredness and redness around Sasha's eyes, like she had been crying all night.
Lacey felt a twist in her stomach. She didn't regret what happened with Danny last night, but she never wanted to hurt someone to further her relationship with him. Sasha met her eye, but looked away, instead of challenging Lacey's eye like she usually did. This made Lacey feel even worse. She didn't know a person like Sasha could actually be hurt.
She found her locker and was lost in thought as Jo continued talking to her, or was it, Rico? She wasn't fully aware of who she was chatting with at the moment.
Lacey wondered if Sasha knew. Did Danny say there was someone else he wanted? Did he just say he didn't like her anymore?
"Lacey, you're having a party?" the brunette snapped out of her thoughts and met Rico's eye, who asked the question.
"Yeah! I'm thinking about Friday night? You can bring a plus one, maybe Phoebe. I think she likes you," Lacey said absentmindedly. She saw Danny turn the corner in the hall, and remembered she had to see him immediately. He met her eye and smiled, but then he was approached by a girl in his Spanish class that Lacey knew had a thing for him. He smiled politely at her and she stroked his arm, presumably asking him out since he was now on the market.
"You guys I'm going to head to attendance, I have a sick note to turn in," Lacey closed her locker and began to walk away, before giving Danny a pointed look that meant for him to follow. She walked into the nearest and least crowded hallway and found a supply closet. As Danny walked by she pulled him into the closet with her.
"Did you buy Plan B?" Lacey whisper-yelled. Danny chuckled then drew the box out of his backpack. Lacey sighed in relief and opened it quickly.
"You know you have up until like 72 hours for it to still work," Danny said matter of factly. Lacey rolled her eyes and popped the pills into her mouth.
"Of course you would know, Desai. But did you know the earlier you take it, the better it works?" she said with a wiggle in her brows.
"Oh it's so sexy when you talk about sexual health," he laughed and inched closer to kiss her and Lacey let him. They had just seen each other last night but she already missed him. Or at least missed his touch for the past six hours. Danny had stayed over for hours, and they probably had sex in ten different positions over and over again. She now knew what his conquests in the locker room were talking about when they said "Desai's magic D."
"Maybe we can just skip today," Danny murmured into her lips. Lacey laughed.
"We can't, I have an exam during third period," she said sweetly against his lips. They stood there for a few moments, holding onto each other and kissing every few seconds.
"I'm throwing a party this weekend, are you free?" she asked, before running her hands down his chest.
"I'm thinking of a party we can have right now," Danny said and pulled her even closer, his hands drifting to grab her ass. Lacey pushed him away, with a grin.
"Danny. Party. This. Weekend," she repeated.
"I know I heard you. Can you just make sure Sasha doesn't come in?" He begged and leaned against the wall, slightly pouting.
"I thought that was a given?" she replied.
"Lacey, we all know people sneak into your parties all the time. Maybe you should invest in security."
She laughed, then grabbed his hand.
"Please, it won't be half as fun without you there," she begged and puckered her lip. Danny smiled and nodded.
"Fine, I'll be there. But I'm only there for you. Aren't you grounded?"
Lacey grinned and kissed his cheek.
"Thanks, Danny. I'll call you later."
Lacey rushed out of the closet, leaving Danny to collect his thoughts.
