"I think my dad is gay," Lacey said as she laid on Danny in the back seat of his car. They were skipping class, hanging out near the lake like they usually did. They weren't making out or pushing limits, just relaxing.

"Why do you think that?" Danny asked. He knew her dad was gay. Her dad once even made a pass at Danny's dad, but no one knew except Danny who saw it happen, and he couldn't tell Lacey that. Her dad had to be the one that should break the news.

"He is leaving my mom… but after Clara's tournament, he was hugging her coach, really tightly. I thought it was weird but maybe he was just happy that she won, but he and my mom didn't say a word to each other in the car ride after," Lacey began. She was still putting together all the ideas in her head and wanted to convince herself that she was wrong about her father. That he loved her mom, he just, wasn't happy with her anymore.

"Lacey, maybe you should be honest and ask. You and your dad are so close, I doubt he would want to lie to you," Danny assured. He rubbed her shoulder so she would be less tense and kissed the top of her head.

He loved being like this with Lacey. He had convinced her to skip math since she had a lot on her mind, he didn't think she should add quadratic equations to her worries. Holding her in his arms and talking was when he felt the most intimate with her. Granted, they hadn't really been intimate other than the few make-out sessions in his car.

It was only a few weeks after their first real kiss, and they weren't dating so he knew Lacey wouldn't let herself do anything else with him. Danny would never push her further than she was comfortable with, no matter how much he was curious about with her.

He heard her sniffle and chastised himself for thinking about her sexually when she was in such a vulnerable state. He pulled his arms around her and hugged her tighter, hoping that he could alleviate some of the stress on her mind.

"I know, but it just feels like everything is falling apart. And summer is almost here but I'm not excited for it," she replied while intertwining her fingers with Danny's.

When they were like this she felt like she had a boyfriend. She had a crush on Danny since they were kids, as did every other girl in Green Grove that grew up with him. He was handsome, ridiculously funny, and so charming he made grown women melt. She felt better than every other person knowing that she was the one he was holding.

And it wasn't like Lacey lacked confidence in herself. She was one of the most beautiful girls in Green Grove. She was cool and collected while being smart and strong that made her intimidating to anyone that talked to her. It didn't help that she was tall and had a voice smooth as silk that made guys offer to do her homework and make girls follow every fashion trend she began.

But when it was just them, they looked at each other organically. Not in the ways other people viewed them, but as Danny and Lacey, humans.

"And the end of the semester concert is coming up, everything is just overwhelming. I have to call the caterers and the acts to make sure they are still coming. And Jo and I have to finish building the sets," Lacey continued. Danny groaned.

"No concert talk. This is a safe space, Lace," Danny replied and lacey moved her head to look at him.

"I thought you were excited about the concert? Sarita told me you're taking a freshman," Lacey said. She tried to be casual, but she knew he didn't want to talk about how Sarita's younger sister, Sasha, asked him to be her date to the concert. No one knew if he said yes, so Lacey thought she would find out for herself.

Danny tensed, then immediately relaxed. Lacey noticed before he could write it off.

"So it is true?" She said and sat up from leaning on him to fully face him. Danny moved himself up too, embarrassed that they were having this conversation about a girl that he didn't care about.

"Well, yeah. Sasha asked me," Danny reluctantly answered.

Lacey tried not to show the hurt and annoyance on her face.

"She's… pretty," she offered and Danny laughed at the uncertainty in her voice.

"Yeah, she's pretty young. But she's nice and seems cool. I don't mind getting to know her, you know?"

"Danny she's not that young. We're only sophomores so it's still legally acceptable. And Sasha has Green Grove clout because of her sister. So I guess I give my approval." She didn't approve.

Danny smiled then reached for her hips to pull them towards him. Lacey allowed it, missing his touch for the two minutes she didn't have it. Their lips met, and Danny's arms wrapped around her as they passionately kissed. She was practically in his lap and had her hands running through his hair. She didn't want him to go with Sasha, Sasha was cute, maybe even cuter than Lacey, and she didn't want to see Danny with someone else at the concert she had to build from the ground up.

She wanted Danny to ask her. She felt that she was dropping hints for the past few weeks, and she assumed their hooking up should've turned into something by now. However, Danny was still living up to his fuckboy reputation.

She knew Sasha wanted to have sex with him. Once she was sleeping over Sarita's when Sasha joined them and said she wanted Danny Desai to take her virginity. Lacey and Sarita laughed at it then, but now it could actually happen.

Danny wanted Lacey. But he didn't know what he should do. Since they first kissed, Danny had been making advances on Lacey as often as he could. He couldn't approach her like other girls. She had to be wooed. He remembered trying to hold her hand in the hallway last week and she gave him a pointed glare before anyone could notice. He didn't know if she wanted to be out in the open with him, or if this was just a thing that happened when they were in his car.

Their makeout became heated as Danny crept his hands under her shirt. He had never really, felt her before. The kissing had always been just that: kissing. His hands would grab her ass but she hardly thought that count.

In all honesty, Lacey wanted to feel him too. She's seen him shirtless countless times at her pool, but never when she was against him. She let her hands go to the hem of his shirt, silently begging him to understand what she was trying to do.

He understood then swiftly removed his shirt, breaking their kiss for a moment.

She forgot he had abs, and strong arms, and a slight trail of hair leading to his pants…

Danny's hands were warm, and the car was heating up with their heightened breathing. He was able to slide off her cardigan then moved her tank top so that her bra was exposed, with the tank top pooling around her waist.

His kisses traveled further down her neck and chest and his hand went to her bra, attempting to remove it as quickly as possible. He struggled, and Lacey reached behind herself to take it off for him and the piece of fabric dropped between them.

Time seemed to stop, and Danny's eyes were glued to her exposed chest. Her nipples were hard and pointing and her chest was moving up and down from their aggressive kissing and the thick car air.

He felt himself getting harder, and with Lacey, in his lap, it was only going to get worst. He kissed her collarbone and licked the same skin, before moving to hold her waist with one arm and hold one of her breasts in the other. Lacey lightly moaned when his tongue made contact with her hard nipple. She tangled her fingers in his hair as he went to suck on her, with his other hand pinching and playing with her second nipple. Lacey felt herself getting wetter. Did she want to have sex with Danny? Right here, right now? Her mind was clouded and she felt his hardness against her.

He was really hard.

Lacey had never gone near a penis. Sure there were guys that sent her nudes or tried to take their dick out whenever she allowed them to kiss her, but Danny's was the first she actually wanted to see and feel.

She let her hand lazily rest on the bulge in his dark jeans. Danny slightly grunted at the contact, and Lacey gave his package a firm squeeze.

Danny's mouth went back to her neck and ear kissing her and whispering things, while one of his hands still played with her nipples, which Lacey found ridiculously pleasurable.

Part of him knew they should stop, but he was with the queen of Green Grove, his best friend, who wanted to feel his junk. He didn't know when that would happen again.

She moved to the button on his jeans and undid them. They broke their kiss and watched her hands unzip his jeans to wear his dick needed to be freed. Lacey went under his boxers and pulled out his cock.

As she did this she panicked, she wanted to see him, but now she didn't know what she should really be doing with it. She reached out her hand and wrapped her fingers around him. She assumed his dick was considered big, compared to the boys around her that she's seen. Regina told her that if her fingers don't touch when wrapped around a dick, that it's pretty thick.

Danny moaned when Lacey began moving her hand up and down his shaft. He had precum at the tip, that she realized she could use to lessen the friction. She couldn't believe she was giving Danny Desai a handjob. She tried to mock what she would see in porn.

"Fuck, Lace," Danny breathes. She assumed she was doing something right. He pulled her closer to him so they could kiss while her hand stroked him.

Lacey loved hearing him say her name like that, and she wondered if he wanted her to go further.

Well of course he wanted her to go further, he's a guy with a hot, topless girl stroking him. Danny didn't want to be a child and come prematurely, so he had to think of anything to make himself wait.

"Um, do you want me to?" She began, letting her voice dissipate so Danny had to figure it out what exactly she was asking.

"Yeah, I mean- if you want to, I'm okay with that," he replied, his voice slightly cracked and he wanted to hit himself. He felt like if her mouth moved anywhere near his dick he would be done in a second.

Lacey kissed him again and scooted back so she could lean down to his cock. She flicked her tongue at his head, tasting the bit of precum that was on his tip. Danny groaned loudly and gripped the seats in his car.

He saw Lacey lick the entire head of his cock, and he felt himself tensing more and more. She took his head into her mouth, and he felt her suck him with her lips surrounding him. She could only put about half of him in her mouth, but Danny thought he had reached nirvana. He moaned again and let out more expletives when Lacey got bolder and took him deeper into her throat.

"Fuck, shit. Damn it, Lacey," he caught her eyes as she sucked him, loving the sight. He put his hand on the back of her head, pushing her head further down. She gagged a little, but quickly adjusted to take him even deeper.

Danny couldn't believe she was so good at this. He thought of his mom's cooking to keep himself from busting him her mouth because he felt Lacey wouldn't be a fan of that.

"Oh fuck, I think I'm going to come," he announced. Lacey hardly heard him and hummed while he was in her mouth to signal for him to repeat himself. Danny let out a hearty groan and Lacey felt something hit her throat, then more of it, then it wouldn't stop. She thought she was choking when she pulled him out of her mouth and coughed into her arm, come getting everywhere on his pants and boxers.

"Oh my God, Danny I'm so sorry," she breathed when she realized just how ungraceful that was. She searched for napkins frantically when she heard Danny laugh a bit.

"Don't laugh!"

"I'm sorry you're just so cute when frazzled," he laughed and she threw napkins at him and fixed her shirt and put her bra back on.

"Danny!"

He wiped off the semen that may stain his pants and realized he came a lot.

"You couldn't have warned me?" she said exasperatedly.

"I did! Then you started humming and vibrating so I couldn't help it, Lace!"

"That's what you said?" she said innocently, realizing she played herself.

Lacey started giggling too, and they were both laughing at the situation.

"I guess it's perfect timing, we have to get back to school anyway."

"Do you want to- uh continue this later?" he asked timidly while putting on his shirt and jumping back to the front seat of his car.

Lacey gave him a lazy grin and moved to the passenger seat next to him.

"We'll see, Desai, we'll see." Danny rolled his eyes at her mystery and started the drive back to school.

DESAI HOUSE

It was Friday afternoon and Danny was working on homework and sitting at the dining room table in his home. His mom was decorating for fall and taking down the summer decorations. He was counting down the minutes until he could head t Lacey's to help her prepare for the party.

"Danny, can you work on that later? I need help hanging this leaf wreath over the mantle!" Karen yelled out to Danny. He rolled his eyes but stood from the glass table to help his mother.

"Mother, are you still decorating for that 'women in charge thing,'" Danny asked. His mom was always trying to take control of every situation.

"Danny, it's important for the women of Green Grove to feel autonomy in their lives. It's 2017, we are not controlled by our husbands anymore!" Karen exclaimed and continued running around the living and dining room preparing.

"You're really passionate about this event?" Danny was surprised, his mom was involved in a lot but always was more interested in the popularity and clout.

"Dad should at least be helping you with this too? Or Jo's mom?"

Karen went quiet. She was moving some flowers into a vase when her hands froze. She didn't meet her son's eyes as she debated running off to her room, or just replying to Danny. She smiled up at him brightly and ignored the question. Danny was confused

"You know who I haven't seen lately? Sasha. She hasn't been over in a few days; are you guys in a fight?" Karen teased.

"We actually broke up a few days ago," Danny offered while sitting back down and continuing his homework. Everyone at school knew they broke up after Sasha tweeted an entire thread about heartbreak and how 'men are trash.' Danny forgot his mother wasn't a part of the social media frenzy Sasha began.

"What!?" Karen exclaimed happily. Danny gave her a pointed look and she brought her happiness down a few levels and pretended to be upset for her son. Danny laughed at his mother's bad acting and she sat next to him at the table, "Danny, what happened?"

"We just weren't working well together anymore… I had to end things."

"Was it the sex?" Karen asked point-blank. Danny wasn't surprised his mother had jumped to that, but he wondered why the sex was the first thing on her mind?

"What mother, n-"

"Because when Lacey was here she told me that you guys had a lot of sex-"

"Wait, Lacey told you that?" Danny blurted. He was extremely confused. Since when did Lacey talk about Danny's sex life to his mom?

"She didn't mean to tell me, but we were just having girl talk and she said it!" Karen defended Lacey. Danny scoffed and Karen continued:

"I'm honestly glad that you and she broke up. She seems like the type to poke holes in condoms, it was like she was obsessed with you.

"You and your father sure are related. Women can't seem to get enough of you," Karen added, absentmindedly.

"What do you mean, mother?"

Karen smiled at her son and shook her head, "It doesn't matter, Danny," she kissed his head and began to walk towards the stairs, "I think I'm going to rest for a bit. Let me know when you're heading out to the party."

His mother walked up to their grand staircase and into her room. Danny knew there were problems in their marriage, but his mother was being even more cryptic than usual, talking about his father and his exploits.

Danny knew his father has cheated on his mother, and he hated him for it. But he then reminded himself that he cheated on Sasha, in ways more than just sleeping with Lacey a few days ago. He was never fully just Sasha's man, and she put up with it for a while. She had the title, but Danny gave attention and time to other girls like they were his girlfriend. Jo always chastised him for it, but he felt he couldn't help it. His heart wasn't with Sasha, and it never would be.

He liked to think that it was poetic. That he was with every girl except the one that he truly wanted. But after the first few Green Grove hot girls, they all started melding in his mind. He withdrew from Jo and Lacey and pushed himself into soccer. He stopped writing as much and started meeting girls to have sex during lunch. He changed a lot over the summer and first few months of junior year, and didn't know how much more of the old Danny that he had left.

He didn't want to sneak around anymore, especially not with Lacey. He knew that she was the one he always knew he wanted, but didn't let himself have. And up until recently, he thought she didn't want him.

They had a lot of parts of their relationship to figure out, but Danny wanted everything to become more official at the party tonight. He wanted to be able to show Lacey off, and stop lying to Jo about the extent of their relationship.

Danny finished up some of his final homework questions when his front door swung open, and his dad walked in. He looked up at the tall, Vikram Desai. Who probably slept with more women in Green Grove than Danny had.

"Danny, where's your mother?" He greeted. Danny sighed and nodded toward the stairwell.

"She's resting though, I think she's stressed about the event," Danny lied. His mother was stressed about her marriage, but he didn't want his father to bother her anyway.

Vikram sighed and put his briefcase and keys on the table. He looked like he was going to say something else to Danny when his phone began to ring.

"Maria? I need you to stop calling my personal phone. If you need help you need to call my secretary, and she will make an appointment with you."

Vikram walked away from Danny and into the foyer to continue his call. Danny packed up his stuff and began to get ready for Lacey's party.

PORTER HOUSE

"Regina, can you call Tyler and make sure he's getting more beer than he did last month? That shit ran out within the first 20 minutes of the party. He needs to do better," Sarita barked while Regina was on a call with Tyler. Flirting in order for him to bring more alcohol to Lacey's party.

Lacey was "party-proofing" the house. Making sure all of her mother's valuables were tucked away so that the rowdy, drunk teenagers who would be at her house in 5 hours wouldn't ruin everything.

"Sarita, make sure he brings three kegs too. One for the kitchen, living room, and backyard. Oh! And I want a bottle of wine and some Tequila and limes for shots," she ordered and continued placing the red solo cups on her counters. She was expecting more than eighty people but knowing Green Grove and the lack of parties other than her own, there would be over 150 people in attendance tonight.

Lacey loved planning parties. Being one of the most popular girls in school, her reputation required her to throw the best parties. She invited everyone that mattered and Rico.

"Lacey, sit down for a second I have to ask you something," Regina said sweetly. Lacey tensed but looked to her friends who were staring at her expectantly. She moved and sat down across from them.

"As you know, we know that you were canoodling with Danny Desai a few months ago, and we were wondering what the current status of what your relationship was," Regina added. Lacey rolled her eyes at the properness of Regina's question and leaned back in her chair with a sigh. She didn't answer them for a long time- but realized she had to say it sometime.

"We are hooking up again," Lacey admitted and Sarita gasped.

"I knew it! Did your slutty ass start while he was still with my sister?" Sarita asked.

"No. Well, not really," Lacey said with her face in her hands. Regina started clapping.

"Thank God! I was so tired of seeing Desai half-naked in my house all the time. It was just passive-aggressive," Sarita began to file her nails.

Lacey smiled, knowing Sarita wasn't mad at her, but she didn't make eye contact with Regina, who was staring pointedly at her. Lacey didn't know what to say.

"But you know Danny De-sigh is a whore. He cheated on Sasha like every week. You're too good for him Lacey." Regina sipped on the vodka soda that she brought from home.

"He would never do that to me. He loves me too much," Lacey replied with a smug smile.

"Gross," Sarita said and finished Regina's drink. Regina didn't seem to mind, and she kept staring at Lacey.

"What, Regina?" She asked, tired of her friend's scrutiny.

"You know I slept with Danny, right?" Sarita spits out the vodka she had in her mouth and started coughing uncontrollably.

"What the fuck Regina why didn't you tell anyone?" Sarita asked. Regina just shrugged.

"We know, Regina. You've slept with every boy on campus," Lacey tried to write off the situation. She knew her "friend" was always trying to one-up her. What she didn't understand was why Danny would have sex with Regina, one of her closest friends.

"I'm just saying, Lace. You have a trend of going after my sloppy seconds. First Archie, now Danny."

"Um, Regina. I slept with Danny first, check yourself."

Regina shrugged, "Oh yeah, blonde moment." Regina gave a sweet smile, but Lacey felt the daggers under it.

"Can you guys finish securing the alcohol and the playlist so we can stop this game of 'Who Hit It First?'" Lacey said exasperatedly. Her friends nodded and got back to work as Lacey headed back upstairs to her room to call Danny.

She closed the door behind her, and he picked up on the first ring.

"Hey, Lace, what's up?"

"Did you sleep with Regina?" She asked.

"What?"

"Danny, you heard me."

"Um, well, it's a bit complicated."

"I'm all ears."

"So we, uh, made out at Scott's party, in his parent's bathroom."

Lacey interrupted, "At the end of August?"

"Yeah- we didn't have sex though, we just played around."

"Yeah we all know how you love your 'playing'," Lacey said. She didn't mean for it to come off as biting as it seemed, but she was honestly annoyed that he was with her best friend.

"I should've told you, but we were still in a weird hardly talking phase, and I didn't think it was a big deal, but I see why it was pretty problematic. I'm sorry, Lace."

"No, it's fine. Whatever you did before is in the past," she was trying to convince herself.

"No, it was shitty of me to do. I shouldn't have slept with one of your friends."

"Danny, don't worry about it. Um, I'll see you tonight."

She said and ended the phone call before he could reply to his goodbye. She fell onto her bed and stared into space.

Why would Danny have sex with her? Why would she have sex with Danny?

Lacey knew the answer to the second question- which was simply because Regina wanted to. But Danny's reasoning left her mind confused and cloudy. He could've been with Lacey at that party, instead of Regina.

Lacey threw back another shot while she lounged against Scott Drake's body in the kitchen. She was at Cole's end of summer party and had one too many.

"Scott! You have to tell us if Emily Renner actually shaves her pits. You're like the only guy on campus who can actually answer that question," Lacey said playfully. Everyone in the kitchen with her began laughing. Lacey was in her element. The center of attention, the life of the party. She was wearing shorts and a slightly cropped t-shirt, looking plain but still capturing the room with her beauty. Sam laughed and answered, but she didn't hear him because Danny had just walked in.

"Danny!" Lacey screamed and ran toward her friend. She gave him a bear hug and Danny looked slightly confused.

"Hey, Lace. You okay?" He asked jokingly, with his arms slightly on her hips.

"I'm fine! You look great!" She slurred her words and fell over slightly. Danny helped her balance herself when Jo appeared.

"Jo! My best friend!" Lacey drowned the shorter girl in a hug when Regina walked up to the trio.

"I heard someone say best friend," she purred.

"Yeah because I said it to Jo…" Lacey began with a giggle. Regina wasn't laughing.

"I'm going to put Lacey on the porch. Maybe fresh air will help her sober up," Danny said, "Jo can you grab me a drink?"

Jo nodded and walked off. Regina smiled and excused herself as Danny walked Lacey to the back porch of Scott's home.

She fell into one of the lawn chairs and looked like she wanted to pass out.

"Goddamn, Lace. How much did you drink tonight?" he asked and leaned in front of her.

"Well, Scott kept giving me shots, so I had to throw them back! Mama didn't raise no bitch."

Danny laughed and they both got quiet.

"Remember when we had sex?" Lacey blurted, not being able to control her drunk mind.

"What?"

"You always say 'what' when you know exactly what someone is talking about." She didn't mean for that to sound rude, but if it did, oops.

"No I mean I know what you're talking about, it's just so random," he continued, turning away from her and stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"I heard you were fucking Sasha."

"Um yeah. I am, I guess."

"Do you like her?"

No.

"Yeah, I think so. She's pretty cool."

"Do you love her?"

Hell no.

"No, Lace. We aren't even close to that yet," Danny replied with a laugh. Lacey sat up in the chair.

"It's so weird hearing about you fucking other people now," she said, staring off into the backyard.

Danny sighed, "I don't know why people feel the need to talk about my sex life."

"Danny you have a fucking ton of sex. With different girls! Are you sure you don't have an STD or something?"

"Lacey, what the fuck? No, I don't have an STD. And you shouldn't believe everything you hear. I've only been with a few other girls."

"How many?"

She was surprised she asked, even when drunk. Danny met her eyes.

"I don't know..." he looked to be counting in his head, "six."

"Six?" Lacey whispered. Six other girls within the month after they first had sex? That made her upset. She was pissed. She felt herself starting sober up.

"Why?" she asked, simply.

"Why what?"

"Why did you have sex with all these different girls after you lost your virginity to me?"

"Lacey, we can't talk about this right now. It's a party…" Danny began. Lacey stood up from the chair and placed herself directly in front of him.

"I think it's because you still love me." She said matter of factly, "You're upset you walked away from me on my birthday. Me, the only girl you ever loved. So now you're burying your dick into anyone that can make you feel even the semblance of the feelings you felt for me.

"You're lonely as fuck, Danny Desai. Maybe you should figure out what you want before you get stuck in a relationship you don't want because you know you will never have me again.

"And right now, all you want to do is kiss me and tell the party that we are together but you can't, and you won't. You don't deserve me."

Danny was silent. She was right. She simply said everything he already knew, he just hated that she could see through it all that easily. She knew him too well. Lacey smiled with her teeth and began to walk away when Danny grabbed her arm.

"Stop it. We can fix this," he began and Lacey snatched her arm away. He wanted to kiss her, to prove her wrong. He wanted to be able to love her so he could stop pretending. He felt like his father more than ever and he hated it.

"No, we can't. We don't exist," she said plainly and staggered back into the party, leaving Danny alone outside in the hot August night.

Lacey snapped away from the memory. That night was a blur and she didn't even remember what she had said to Danny. He didn't speak to her much the week after the party, but then school started again so they were seeing each other all the time and had to be normal. Lacey wanted to ask Danny what she said, but she was scared of the answer. She could get confrontational when she was drunk.

She stood up from her bed and went to continue preparing for her party.

PARTY TIME

Danny opened the door to Lacey's home and was met with loud music and a haze in the air he was assuming was marijuana and sweat. He saw Archie doing a keg stand in the living room, then Sarita doing a shot in the kitchen. He looked for a friend, anyone that could point him in Lacey's direction.

He made his way into the crowd of gross teenagers and found himself outside at the pool. He saw Lacey sitting on the corner, a black bikini on, and her hair curled up from being wet in the water. Rico was with her, making her laugh about something that made her playfully splash him. He stared at their exchange for a moment, until Lacey felt his eyes and looked up.

She and Danny met eyes and he motioned for her to come with him. Lacey grinned, grabbed her bottle of wine, and stepped out of the pool.

"I'll talk to you later, Rico!" she called to the other boy and walked toward Danny. Rico made a "what the hell man" motion to Danny, but Danny didn't care.

Lacey made her way in front of Danny, who looped his arm around her waist to guide her into the house.

"You're late, Desai," she said in a sing-song voice. She led him up the stairs and into her bedroom.

"Well, I guess you'll have to punish me," Danny joked and Lacey laughed. She put her bottle of wine on her desk and wrapped her arms around his neck and shoulders. Danny's hands went to her waist. He didn't know how she wasn't freezing. It was almost October.

"I would, but I missed you too much," she said and kissed him. The kiss was slow and passionate. Danny remembered the last time they were in this situation, which prompted him to reach behind her and lock the door.

"No interruptions this time?" she giggled and Danny grinned into her kiss. His hands went to grip her ass and she whimpered into his mouth.

"I thought you were mad at me," he began, and Lacey pulled away from the kiss while still holding him close.

"Oh yeah. I forgot," she went to kiss him again but Danny pulled back.

"Did you drink that whole bottle of wine?" he asked.

"No there's still some left!" she went to grab the bottle and drank another sip, "Do you want some?"

Danny shook his head no and she shrugged. Drinking some more before she sat at the edge of her bed. Danny stayed standing and leaned against her door, a few feet away from her.

"What's wrong? You don't like wine?" she joked.

He smiled at her then offered his hand to help her to her feet.

"Let's go back to the party," he said but Lacey immediately sat back down on her bed.

"No, it's too busy out there. And I want to keep you to myself," she said with a smirk, slowly untying one of the strings that held her bikini together.

"Lace, you're so drunk. We can't do anything right now," he laughed when Lacey pouted.

"If we go into that party how will we be able to kiss and makeout," Lacey trailed off and took off her entire bikini top.

Danny felt a tightening in his pants when she stood up and walked toward him. He pressed himself against the door, seeing the parallel to their first time in this very room. Lacey kissed his cheek, then his chin, his neck, and she kept moving down the top of his body that she could see without going under his shirt.

"Danny…" Lacey whispered into his ear. Danny knew he had to get out of there, he was hard.

"Lace-"her hand went to his package and Danny slid out from behind her, and unlocked the door.

"We are not doing this right now because you are drunk as hell, and I can't do anything to you with a clear conscience," Danny said and practically forced his mind to think of his dad in a Speedo.

"You couldn't do anything that night and you aren't doing anything now. Desai, why are you so afraid of drunk girls?" Lacey pried, referencing their fight at Scott's party a few months ago.

"You remember that?" Danny breathed. He was shocked she remembered. Maybe her brain and drunk brain are two different parts.

"Yeah. Well, part of it. I remember telling you off over the shit that happened!" Lacey practically yelled, still topless.

Danny moved toward her and picked up the bikini top, turning Lacey around he tried to tie it around her when she, of course, fought back on him.

"What you said was fucked up Lace, I can't believe you remember that." Danny got confused in tying the bra and Lacey managed to wriggle herself out of his arms. She lightly pushed him and Danny backed off with his hands up.

"Stop it! Because you fucked Regina!" Lacey blurted out. She didn't want to hear anything else he said. She knew it was immature to break the attention from her own wrongdoings, but she wasn't thinking straight from all of her libations.

"That meant nothi-,"

"Everything means nothing to you!"

"You can't say that," Danny said, becoming angry at the drunk girl as she was angry with him.

"Lacey you are everything that has been or ever will be important to me. I tried as hard as I could to fight it with these other girls, but I needed you. In so many ways I needed you, but you pulled away from me too. You went on dates and let random guys entertain you, but you haven't been with anyone else. Because you only wanted to be with me.

"You knew how much I loved you. How hard I tried to get you to only talk to me. For some reason you have always been afraid of showing me the love I show for you, whenever I can," Danny was out of breath, he got all of his feelings out and Lacey stood silently, listening to every word. She sobered up at the moment and felt the heaviness of his voice. She thought about how much care and understanding for him to be able to articulate this to her.

The charmer was being… vulnerable.

Lacey stood still, reaching down to grab her bikini top and slid it on.

"I'm sorry, Danny," Lacey said.

"I'm sorry too."

They moved toward each other for a hug. They held each other for more than five minutes, sometimes kissing in her dark room, with a party still going on loudly around them.

"So what's next?" Lacey murmured into his neck.

"We should just go for it… walk hand in hand down to the party." Danny said.

Lacey pulled away from him, "And we can kiss right in the middle of the backyard."

"We don't have to go that far tonight Lace, I know that's going to be a weird transition for us, you don't have to go that far," Danny reassured her with her face in between his hands.

"I want to!" Lacey replied, mirroring his position.

They laughed and Lacey grabbed his hands and intertwined their fingers. She turned the knob on the door, and they were stepping out into Green Grove. As a couple.

They walked down the stairs together, and at first, no one seemed to notice them. Until they walked past a few people who whispered. Then someone else would see them and whisper.

Lacey swears a girl shouted "No!" when Danny's hand grazed her ass. Soon, they felt everyone's eyes on them. Danny grabbed Lacey's waist and pulled them into the middle of the backyard. He wanted to see if she still wanted to uphold that part of the deal. He met Jo's eyes, who was looking at them skeptically.

It was now or never. Lacey pulled Danny's neck toward her and kissed him in the middle of the party. There were gasps, a few "oh my gods". Then there was cheering. One from a single person, then the crowd busted. Some of Danny's teammates sprayed beer on them. They broke this kiss, stunned by the reaction of the crowd. Then, as soon as they were proud, the teen bodies went to not caring and enjoying the rest of the party.

Danny and Lacey smiled at each other and laughed until they felt a few particular bodies had their eyes on them.

Rico, stunned.

Sarita, grossed out.

Regina, laughing.

Jo, confused, annoyed, and stunned.

And one, recording the whole thing for Sasha.

Tyler.
