What if in episode 12.22 Raj did go to London to be with Anu?

One week later Raj flew back to California from London. He had a very busy couple of days, he persuaded Caltech to give him a 1 year sabbatical, his alma mater of Cambridge University had agreed to let him visit for a year. He packed up his things, what he wasn't going to take to London he had put in storage. He only had a chance for a very brief visit with his friends before he was back to the airport with lots of suitcases and his dog Cinnamon.
All six of them were waiting at the airport before he went through security before his flight to London.
Raj "Oh you didn't have to do this, I appreciate you coming to say goodbye. I love you all and I am going to miss you but this is my chance to have what you have, a proper relationship and a spouse."
Raj then went through security to fly back to London.
One week later Sheldon and Amy won the Nobel Prize. Raj talked to the other six by Skype, Anu was with him.
"Many congratulations, I am so proud to have two Nobel Prize winners as my friends. I hope we can make it to Stockholm to see the Nobel presentation. We have some news as well, we got married three days ago..."

Two months later in Stockholm Raj has a reunion with the other six.
"Hello my friends, it is wonderful to see you all. I have missed you."
Bernadette "So where is your wife, I thought she was coming with you?"
"Sorry, she couldn't make it, pressure of work. So Penny, you look different."
Penny "Yes Raj, I am pregnant. How can you tell, there is no baby bump showing."
"I have spent enough time in my fathers office to know how a pregnant lady looks. Congratulations to you and Leonard."
Leonard "Thank you Raj."
"Are you two ready to see the King?"
Sheldon "Yes, Amy has helped me get my speech down to 1 hour."
Amy "I think we can make it shorter than that my dear husband."
Howard "so how is married life?"
"Well when we are together it is fantastic, but we don't spend much time together. It's an early start and late return when I commute to Cambridge from London every day. We live in Anu's hotel, she has an apartment there. Unfortunately her work tends to be 24/7, at least once a week she has had to get up in the middle of the night to sort out a problem at the hotel. There is a fancy wedding on at the hotel this weekend, she is needed to organise things for the big day."

After Stockholm they didn't hear much from Raj and Anu. Some Xmas cards arrived from London, when Martin Alfred Wyatt Hofstadter was born next May their was a brief email saying congratulations and some flowers were delivered. Apart from that nothing until one day in October...
Amy was walking down the corridor at Caltech when she suddenly saw a very familiar figure coming towards her
"Rajesh, is that you?" as she ran up to him and gave him a hug "what are you doing here?"
That evening at Howard and Bernadette's house Raj was reunited with his friends, he got to meet baby Martin for the first time.
"What am I doing here? I work here in Pasadena my friends, my sabbatical year in England is over."
Howard said "what about Anu, what about your wife?"
"My ex-wife is still in London running her hotel. After a couple of months the strain of all the early mornings, late nights and travel started to get to me. I tried to get a job at the University of London but nothing came of it. I would occasionally spend the night in Cambridge when I was working late. One day in May, just after this little boy was born, it suddenly struck me that I didn't want to go back to London.
That weekend I had 'the talk' with Anu, a week later I was living full time in Cambridge, I was able to find some visiting scholars accommodation through my old college. Our divorce was finalised last month. I came back to Pasadena last week, I am back at Bert Kibbler's place as Bert is on sabbatical in Canada for the next year."
Bernadette "Oh poor Raj, why didn't you tell us you were coming."
"I didn't want to hear the inevitable 'I told you so', I was ashamed to show my face around you all."
Bernadette gave him a hug "Well I for one am happy that you are back, it hasn't been the same without you."
