Chapter 4

Clarke was pretty sure her kitchen never looked like this before. To be completely honest, she never really cooked in it. She had done the basic: scrambled eggs, toast, and cereal. Other than that, she stuck to the take-way or even order some food. However, she couldn't go out and her ideas her running out. She had found this Youtube channel where they though basic cooking skills to inept chefs and Clarke had decided to give it a go.

Almost one hour later, she was pleased with her carbonara dish. It wasn't supposed to take that long, but it was her first time making it and it had burned up twice. However, it was done and she could finally eat dinner.

Clarke sighed, looking at the lone plate at the table. She missed people. On the job, she dealt with hundreds of persons every day, from around the world. She might not have a big group of friends, but she had Raven, Gaia, and Jackson. Despite not being a big fan of Shaw, she managed to get along nicely with Raven's boyfriend, and Miller, Jackson's boyfriend, was a delight. Nylah, Gaia's new girlfriend, was still growing on her, but she knew they could eventually be good friends. Being the only single one in the group led to her slow estrangement from them. They could go on double, or triple, dates and even though they made sure to invite Clarke, she couldn't help but feel a little left out.

At the thought of finding herself a boyfriend, her mind quickly drifted to Bellamy. She didn't know her neighbor very well but got the feeling he was a kind and warm person, much different from the kind of people who attracted her. Maybe he was the someone she needed to finally get herself a serious relationship. Or maybe she should stop daydreaming about her hot neighbor.

Deciding that she had nothing to lose, Clarke grabbed the plate from the table and headed to the balcony.

"Bellamy," she called. Had he gone out? "Bellamy!" Her second try was met with a loud noise from the neighboring apartment and the sound of rushed steps.

"Hey," he greeted, poling out the door.

"Hi! I tried something in the kitchen and it actually went well. As you can see by the lack of fire and fireman sirens." Bellamy grinned and she could help but to beam back to him. He had such a cute smile. "Wanna have dinner with me," Clarke asked, showing him the plate. His eyes widened in surprise and she prepared herself for the rejection.

"Yeah, sure." Clarke smiled and leaned over carefully. Bellamy took the plate of her hands and stood in his balcony, uncertain. "So, we'll just eat out here?"

Clarke shrugged. "Why not? I'll just go and get my plate," She went inside quickly, made herself a plate, and then came back out, being a little disappointed to not find Bellamy waiting for her. Had she overstepped and scared him?

She didn't have to wait much longer. "I found this documentary on WWII that I'm dying to see. I was hoping you would like to watch it too," Bellamy got out of his apartment, holding a small white box.

"Yeah, sure," she replied, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. However, she didn't have to wonder any longer. Bellamy placed the white box on the floor and turned it on. A projected image appeared on the building in front of them and Clarke quickly understood what he was up too.

"You just took Netflix and chill to a whole new level," she said, not being able to contain her smile. They sat down on their respective balconies and ate Clarke's food while watching the documentary, projected on the building in front of them.

If anyone had asked a few weeks ago what had been the most awesome thing to happen to her, she would probably say it was her trip to Iceland when her car broke down and she thought she was gonna freeze to death, but the sky light up with most beautiful colors and she enjoyed her quiet night in the wild unlike any other.

Now, she would probably say that the best moment of her life was when her neighbor projected a documentary in the building in front of them.

"This is amazing," Bellamy said, taking another bite of his carbonara. Clarke couldn't hold back another smile. "Thank you." They finished their meal as the credits where rolling, but neither made a move to get up. It was a pleasantly warm night and Clarke wasn't feeling like going inside again.

"I also tried my luck in the kitchen today. It's not as good as this, but we could have as desert," he suggested and she could see the redness creeping up his cheeks. How could this man be so shy?

"Well, I'm known for loving desert." Bellamy got up, taking the plate with him. "Hey! Don't you dare take that to wash," she warned, but he walked inside. A few minutes later, he came back and offered a plate with a huge piece of chocolate cake in it. Clarke eagerly took it from his hands and took a bite, unable to hold back a moan as the chocolate filled her mouth. Bellamy chuckle, making her blush.

"Glad to know you like it."

"It's really good. It's even better than mine." Bellamy shook his head, obviously blushing again from the compliment.

"Wanna watch something else?" Clarke nodded and sat back on the floor. In the middle of the movie, she turned to look at Bellamy, who had his locked on the images in from of him, slowly trying to grab lost crumbs from his plate. An overwhelming need to cuddle with him took over her body, surprising her. Even with Lexa, she never felt the need to cuddle. However, the idea of resting her head against Bellamy's shoulder, while he wrapped his arms around her, sounded like heaven.

He was woken from his sleep due to a rather unpleasant sound. It took him a minute to comprehend where it was coming from and when he did, his hands searched for the phone.

"Bellamy speaking."

"Late night, Blake?" Murphy's voice was not what he was expecting to hear. Especially when he was still lingering to the imagines of Clarke's naked body. How his mind became so inspired, he never knew.

"What do you want?"

"I take you haven't been online today. Go check you Instagram, my friend." Bellamy furrowed his eyebrows and sat quickly on the bed. What now? He put the call on speaker, turning on the internet and opened his Instagram. He had almost thirty unread messages from the group chat he shared with Miller and Murphy.

Curiously, Bellamy opened it and scrolled up. The discussion had started when Murphy shared a video entitled Love blooms amid COVID-19 quarantine. His eyes widened when he watched it. Someone had recorded him and Clarke sitting on their balconies, watching the documentary, and sharing their meals. The person who posted made sure to write a love story out of it. Thousands of people were commenting on how cute and adorable it was.

"Shit." He didn't know what Clarke take was on social media and the fear of her being mad with the invasion of privacy took him. "I have to go."

"What? I want to know -" He hung the call on Murphy and got up. What should he do? Did he go knock on her door? No, they never did that. It was not their thing.

His eyes fell on the balcony door and he walked towards it unconsciously, like he was drawn by a magnet.

Clarke was also going outside, her phone in her hand and a confused look at her face. Their eyes locked and Bellamy struggled with what to say. Should he apologize? The only thing she had wanted was to share the meal she had prepared with him. He had to go and do this wild thing to impress her.

"Looks like we got viral," she commented.

"Yeah." Are you mad? Do you hate me? Those were the questions flying around his head, but his mouth was clamped shut. Her glance softened and she drew a shy smile as he prepared to apologize.

"Well, that was a great first date."

Hi guys!

Sorry this chapter took so long and is so short.

To be honest with you, I'm so disappointed with season 7 that I'm slowly falling out of love with the show.

However, I'll keep writing this story and - who knows? - maybe something exciting happens and I'll be motivated for The 100 again.

What about you? Are you enjoying season 7?

Love,

Jane
