Jackson and Greta are my original characters, but I don't own CSI.

Inspired by a vacation of mine. I heard a little girl on the beach, and I thought it would be a cool story for Greta. Hope you enjoy...and pretty please review!

Greg and Morgan were thrilled to get a little vacation time with the kids. They were on a beach in Florida, watching the waves and swimming. Jackson loved to swim, and tried to get Greta to swim a little bit.

Jackson helped Greta swim in a shallow part. "You're doing good, Greta!"

Greta splashed happily. Then she saw a small school of fish swim by. "Baba, lookit!"

"Yeah," Jackson said.

"You see the fish?" Greg asked.

"Yeah!" Greta said. "Mama, da fishies are scared!"

"They are?" Morgan asked. "To them, you're as big as a shark."

"I giant?"

"To them, you are," Morgan said with a soft laugh.

"Hey, Greta," Greg said. "There's some more fish over here." Greta happily walked to her father to walk along the beach and look at fish.

"Dada, dere so many!" Greta said as she looked at the fish.

"Yeah," Greg said. He loved seeing the wonder in Greta's eyes.

"Dada, Aunt Sawa say da fishies just wanna twim!"

"Yeah," Greg said as he crouched down beside Greta. He took his phone from his pocket. "You want to tell her about it?"

"Yes!"

Greg smiled and dialed Sara's number. She picked it up after the first ring. "I thought you were on vacation," she said.

"We are. But Greta wanted to tell you about the fish." He put Sara on FaceTime so she could talk to Greta.

"Hi, Aunt Sawa!" Greta shouted.

"Hi!" Sara said. "You having a good vacation?"

"Aunt Sawa, we see fishies!"

"You did?" Sara asked with a smile.

"Yeah! Me an' baba go twimming! And we see fishies!"

Sara smiled at the goddaughter she adored. "Oh, wow! Did you like the fish?"

"Yeah!"

"Sounds like you are having fun."

"Yeah! You wanna see da fishies?"

A few moments later, Morgan sat in her beach chair when she heard her phone ring. She pulled it out of her tote bag and narrowed her eyebrows. "Sara?" She answered.

"Hi, Aunt Sara!" Jackson shouted as he dried off with his towel.

"Hey, guys. I know you're on vacation, but you might want to go to the grocery store."

Morgan narrowed her eyebrows. "Sara, what are you..."

Just then, Greta rushed up to Morgan giggling. Morgan and Jackson looked and saw Greg behind her, carrying his phone.

"What happened?" Morgan asked her husband.

Greg pursed his lips and looked at his daughter. "We called Sara to tell her about the fish. And Greta thought she should take a picture."

Morgan's jaw dropped and Jackson started laughing. "She took a picture of the..." Jackson said, trying to get his laughter under control.

"Yep," Greg said. "Put my phone under the water."

"Me get picture of da fishes!" Greta happily told her mother.

Morgan pursed her lips, trying not to laugh. "You did?"

"Uh-huh! Me show Aunt Sawa da fishes!"

Sara laughed softly as Greg smiled and rolled his eyes. "Yeah," he said as he gave Morgan his wet phone. "I'm sure Aunt Sara liked the fish, but don't put daddy's phone in the water, okay?"

"Why?" Greta asked as she took a sip of water from Morgan's water bottle.

"Because it'll hurt the phone," Morgan said.

Greg handed his damp phone to Morgan. "It's not too bad, but I probably won't be using it the rest of the day."

"Sowwy, dada," Greta said.

"It's okay," Greg said. "Just remember not to put my phone under water."

"Okay!"

Sara couldn't help but laugh. "Well, I think it's so sweet that you wanted to show me the fish," she told her goddaughter.

"Aunt Sawa, did you like da fishes?"

Sara smiled. "I did. Thank you for thinking of me."

"You welcome!" Greta shouted. "I go get ice cream!"

"We'll see," Greg said with a laugh.

They said goodbye to Sara and Greta happily told her mother and Jackson about the fish. Greg and Morgan were able to save Greg's phone as the little girl happily told her brother about swimming and seeing the fish.

After a full day, Greg and Morgan had no trouble getting Greta and Jackson ready for bed. Greta asked Morgan if they could take some of the fish back home.

"No, sweetie," Morgan said as she tucked Greta in bed.

"But baba no see dem," Greta said with a yawn.

Jackson smiled at his sister. "Yeah, I did," he said. "Remember? We saw them when we were swimming."

Greta smiled. "Yeah."

Greg smiled at his two children. "All right. Jacks, brush your teeth. You both need to go to sleep so we can explore the beach some more tomorrow."

"Night night, baba!" Greta said.

Jackson smiled at his sister. The little girl was sound asleep within a few minutes.

Morgan smiled at her family. She whispered to Greg, "Your phone okay?"

"Yeah," Greg said. "Next time, she can use your phone." Morgan laughed softly.

Both parents watched Jackson and Greta sleep before going to bed. Even if Greg nearly lost his phone, it was a wonderful day.
