Heyyyyy...
Okay so here's a one shot I've been working on for a long ass while...
I might be taking a while to get back into more regular posting...I had a family member pass away so I'm just...trying to work through that.
So I hope this will do for now and even though this is marked complete I might add smut chapters later...
I hope ya'll enjoy.
There was one thing Elsa loved about libraries and it wasn't the silence as one might think. It was getting to see how different people preferred different books. The silence and calm of a library was a big plus point but it was also nice when there were a lot of people. Well, mostly during school exam times, where students then flock to the library for that peace and quiet.
The silence that followed after a long day of catering to a bunch of teens and young adults were like music to Elsa's ears. She didn't mind people, but there was comfort in being alone. Her friends were loud and busy, so spending her time at the library helped keep her inner balance.
"Oh, I'm sorry but the library is closing in a few minutes," Elsa says as she rounds the corner of some bookshelves. In front of her stood a rather tall, rather muscular and oddly dressed redhead.
"Hm? Oh, I'm sorry I got here a little late and have been trying to find something," the girl says after turning to her and smiling. Elsa's heart rate sped up and she felt her cheeks redden. The woman was really beautiful and her dazzling smile and sharp teal eyes were breathtaking.
"W-what can I help you with?" Elsa asked as she looked away and re-positioned her glasses on her nose.
"Well, normally I would eat whatever while home, but I thought maybe I should actually eat decent meals. So I'm looking for a 'how to cook' book? One that doesn't make me feel stupid or is too hard," the girl said as she rubbed the back of her neck. A sheepish smile on her face.
"W-well, most cook books are j-just recipes and not actual how to guides," Elsa said as she looked over the selection they stood in front of. She hummed to herself, trying to distract her brain at the heat the girl gave off and the almost vibrating energy she seemed to be containing in her twitching biceps.
Get it together Winters!
"Alright this one should do, normally I recommend this one to pre-teens and teens who want to impress their mothers on Mother's Day, but it should do fine for a beginner," Elsa smiles as she hands the book to the woman.
"Awesome, um I don't have a card yet, does that take a lot of time?" The redhead asks and Elsa blinks.
"Well, not necessarily, all I need is your ID," Elsa smiled kindly and walked the woman to the front desk. The woman stands and waits as Elsa moves behind the counter and starts typing on the computer. She turns to ask for the woman's ID but she was already holding it out to her.
"Hmm, Anna Arendelle, you're not f-from around here are you?" Elsa asks with a kind smile as she types up all the information she needs.
"Nope, I'm from a small town up North, but due to work they moved me out here to this base," Anna says smiling as she leans down on the counter.
"B-base?" Elsa asks as she tilts her head.
"Sergeant Arendelle at your service ma'am," Anna grinned as she saluted. Elsa blushed a little and giggled into her hand.
"So you are in the military, I thought you might just be an e-enthusiast," Elsa admits as she finishes up her typing. She hummed and handed the woman her ID back.
"I don't know much about the m-military but isn't 26 a little y-young to be a S-Sergeant?" Elsa asks as she runs a hand over her braid.
"Not for a normal Sergeant, but for a Staff Sergeant as myself a teensy bit, but not impossible, I have been taking this very seriously since I can remember, my family is known for their military background. Mom was a field nurse and dad was a fighter pilot. I just want to do them proud," Anna smiles as she reaches up and strokes over her dog tags.
"I-I'm sure you do, um your card will be ready once you bring this back, remember just t-two weeks," Elsa smiles and hands the book back to the woman. Anna smiles and nods before leaving. Elsa can't help but watch her go as she bites her lip. She hopes she gets to see the soldier again.
~Shy~
Anna manages to return the book on time, but Elsa doesn't see her for months on end. She felt a little disappointed, but shrugged it off. Not like she hasn't met people before that disappeared after a while. A library was mostly there for people that were either bored or those that needed information.
It did anger her friends that she would rather spend all her time working rather than going out to have fun. How was it that out of all three of them she was the introvert? Rapunzel and Merida were both busy bodies and loved going out and having fun.
Though Elsa would point out that Rapunzel was more interested in traveling and Merida on defying every rule her mother had placed on her during high school. That rebel behavior has had Elsa and Rapunzel mad at her for making them bail her out of jail for something as stupid as streaking and also making them spend a night in lock up for trespassing.
Rapunzel would sometimes disappear for days on end and when she returned she'd have so many photos to share that Elsa didn't even want to ask where the hell the girl had been. Usually after a stunt like that the two extroverts would tell Elsa to start living life to which she would decline and say that they lived it enough for her.
"Someone is lost in thought."
Elsa's attention moved away from the book she had her nose stuck in and she blushed at seeing the dashing redhead from nearly six months ago. Anna was standing with her hands behind her back like she was on rest. Her casual military uniform is neat and pristine as it should be. The girl looked absolutely fantastic.
"G-good to see you again Sergeant Arendelle," Elsa smiled shyly as she tried not to blush as much as she thought she's doing.
"Please, call me Anna, I never did get your name," Anna smiles as she leans forward on the desk with her arms folded.
"Elsa, E-Elsa Winters, no special title," the blonde says and fidgets with her glasses slightly.
"Beautiful name, I like Winter, perfect cuddle weather," Anna hums absently and Elsa feels a shiver run up her spine. Her eyes are drawn to the tight muscles of the redhead and she just wants to desperately feel them around her. She bets she'll feel very safe there.
"W-well they say it's a very magical time of year," Elsa hums along. Anna looks around after giving her a smile, before standing back up right.
"If you have a few hours to spare, I would like to have dinner with you sometime," Anna says, a small blush now covering her own cheeks. Elsa's eyes widen as her heart races faster than ever.
"L-like a date?" She finds herself asking before her sudden bravery leaves her.
"Hmm, definitely a date, if you're interested," Anna clarifies. Elsa can see she's chewing on her lip. Even a big bad marine can be nervous it seems.
"W-well, I…" Elsa starts before she's interrupted by a co-worker named Belle.
"Elsa, why are you still here? Your shift ended ten minutes ago," the brunette says as she smiles. Elsa frowns and tilts her head. No, she was sure her shift only ended at closing time.
"She's available right now, please take her before she becomes a book," Belle grins to the tall redhead. The grin that spreads over Anna's face is as dazzling as that first time she saw it.
"I know a great place," Anna says and Elsa finds her bag slung over her shoulders for her. Belle escorts her out by practically shoving her and Elsa can only blink in slight confusion.
Did Belle just…oh that sly woman!
Elsa just grips the strap of her bag and blushes as she looks down.
"I-I should probably dress in s-something a little more appropriate," Elsa says as she fidgets with her glasses.
"Oh, I didn't think of that, I should probably dress in actual clothes too. Silly me, I'm just so used to wearing a uniform," Anna chuckles. Elsa had to bite her lip. She wanted to say that she quite enjoyed seeing the redhead in one.
"W-well how about we set a time for the d-d-date and we get ready?" Elsa can feel the heat radiating from her face.
"That sounds like a solid plan, I'll pick you up at eight?" Anna asks as she smiles at the blonde. Elsa gives a small smile back and nods before writing down her address for the soldier.
They parted their ways and Elsa was in a frantic rush to get showered and presentable. She wasn't sure where they were going so she had no idea how formal to be. There was a brief moment where she wanted to call Rapunzel and Merida but then they would have questions and make her stress more than she needed to.
"Olaf what do you think?" Elsa asks as she holds out two dresses to her Siamese cat. He tilted his head and blinked his blue eyes before rubbing up against the one in her left hand.
Elsa gave a smile and started getting dressed. It was a simple black dress with blue lint that formed a bow at her back. One could never go wrong with a black dress; thank the heavens Rapunzel has such good taste in clothes. Not that Merida didn't, but she was more into leather and pants.
Eight o'clock on the dot there was a knock on Elsa's door. She bit her lip and neatened out her already perfect dress before opening the door. Anna's smile dropped as her jaw fell open. This reaction made Elsa a little insecure.
"Is th-there something wrong? Am I dressed wrong?" She asked, checking her outfit for the hundredth time.
"You look very beautiful Elsa," Anna said softly as she gave the woman another once over. Elsa blushed and smiled. The soldier was wearing a very lovely black suit with a blue dress shirt.
"We s-seem to match," Elsa giggles and the redhead looks between them before smiling.
"Great minds think alike, if you're ready Elsa, we can go," Anna says politely and the blonde nods as she closes her door, but not before Olaf slipped out.
"Olaf, no!" Elsa gasps as the cat rubs up against the redhead's legs, some white fur coming off.
"I am so s-sorry Anna, he l-likes affection," Elsa stammered, but the redhead just chuckled before picking him up. He gave a chirp before rubbing his face against Anna's.
"He's so adorable! I've never met a cat that was this loving before," Anna smiles and nuzzles him back. He gives a very adorable chirp before Anna drops him off in the house. Elsa smiles as she locks the door.
"He's still p-pretty much a kitten, s-so it's hard to make him listen," Elsa explains and Anna waves it off.
"He's a cat, they hardly listen to anyone, but don't worry he was really cute," Anna smiled before waving to the side for Elsa to follow her to her car.
Now, Elsa wasn't the type of girl to kiss on the first date, but something about Anna was just so unique that she found herself initiating a lot of the intimacy. She found it very easy to talk with the redhead and as their date went on she relaxed more and more. Anna was not only funny but a real sweetheart and charmer.
So it wasn't a surprise when Elsa was the one to ask Anna to come in for a cup of tea after their date. Anna played a bit with Olaf as Elsa made the drinks and the two kept talking. There was a moment where their laughter died down and they just smiled at one another. Elsa was the one to lean forward and kiss the redhead. It was soft and sweet, but it slowly grew heated and needy.
Neither could remember the last time they had been intimate with someone else and their need for affection turned to lust as they kissed and nipped and licked. Anna bit down on Elsa's slender neck, making the woman arch her chest and moan loudly while tugging at her shirt.
That's when Anna moved away, panting and blushing. Elsa frowned and felt herself become shy again as she sat up herself.
"D-did I do something wrong?" Elsa asked as she curled her arms to her chest.
"No! No, not at all, it's just, um. Look Elsa, I really want to be with you and take things further. It's just…I-I'm a little different from other girls," Anna says, suddenly shy for the first time all night.
"Different h-how?" Elsa asked as she tilted her head.
"Well you see, I was born with male reproductive organs," Anna said with her face flushed red, matching her hair.
Elsa blinked once, then twice, letting the information sink in before her own blush covered her cheeks. She stood up and Anna's face fell, but she was surprised when Elsa gently took her hand and led her to the bedroom.
"As long as it's you, I think we can make this work," Elsa purred softly and Anna could only let a goofy smile work its way onto her face.
Elsa and Anna both started seeing one another on a regular basis; neither actually asked what their relationship was. Anna would be gone for work months on end and Elsa would always be more than happy to see her when she got back.
Elsa never even thought to mention this relationship to her friends. She was just all too happy to hear about their lives and their adventures. Though she did like that Anna was all hers when she was home.
They did have to talk about their relationship and the future at some point though. The opportunity arrived about two, almost three, years later. They were all cuddled up in bed, the sun was just rising and they were both waking at the same time for a change.
Elsa smiled and nuzzled into the redhead more while Anna purred and tightened her hold on the blonde. Neither had to be anywhere for anything and they were feeling lazy. All in all they'd say it was the perfect day.
"I could get used to waking up like this," Elsa purred and felt herself melt into the woman's embrace. Anna kissed her head and stroked her arm gently, making Elsa shiver.
"And what makes this different from the other times?" Anna asked with a soft smile.
"For starters...you're not fixing to go for your morning run and I don't have to get ready for work," Elsa smiled and leaned up, placing a kiss to Anna's chin.
"That is very true, I think last night was enough of a workout," Anna smirked, making Elsa blush and hide her face. Anna chuckled and hugged her tightly, rolling them so she was laying over Elsa.
The smaller woman softly stroked at the taller one's clavicle and neck, before gently stroking Anna's face. The redhead purred and closed her eyes as she enjoyed the gentle caressing.
"Anna…" Elsa said softly, making the redhead blink her eyes open in slight confusion at the uncertainty that laced that single word.
"W-where do you see yourself in...ten years?" Elsa asked as she gently played with the dog tags between them.
"Well...married, with a lovely suburban home, some kiddies running around with the dogs, I'd also like a cat, Olaf has made me love cats a whole lot more," Anna chuckled. Elsa had a far away stare in her eyes.
"That all sounds so nice and we could work together in a little garden and-" Elsa cut herself off as the words slipped from her mouth and she looked up to surprised teal eyes.
"I-I didn't mean to assume, I just, it's...I," Elsa was struggling to find words, but was cut off by Anna kissing her. It was soft and sweet, Elsa could swear she felt love in it too.
"We can plant some roses and I'd like to grow a sunflower or two, I really like those," Anna said as she smiled. Elsa felt her heart melt and she wrapped her arms around the redhead's neck.
"We'll grow a bunch of sunflowers," she giggled before kissing Anna. The kissing went from sweet to heated fairly quickly and Elsa only had enough clarity in her mind to think that she should probably tell her friends, but right now there were more...urgent matters to address.
It wasn't till another three months later that Elsa managed to scrape her courage together and formulate a plan to inform her friends. So she waited for her weekly meet up with said friends. They were talking about Rapunzel finding a guy on one of her trips. She hadn't been to the last three meet ups.
That's when Elsa's little secret broke. Anna had arrived at the same café. She was rushing in to get a quick snack before heading over to Elsa's. She liked to surprise the librarian with her returns.
Anna grinned massively when she noticed Elsa. She was so happy to be back and having time to spend with Elsa again since that talk they had about what they wanted, that she didn't think about the company she was keeping. She does remember seeing them in pictures around Elsa's apartment and from her cute ramblings about her friends.
The redhead stood behind the giggling blonde. Her presence made the other two stop their chuckling to stare up to her. Elsa tilted her head and turned to look behind her and was pleasantly surprised to see Anna.
"Anna, you're back early," Elsa said happily and let out a small meep as the soldier held her chin and kissed her deeply.
"I couldn't stay away from you Snowflake, I was just about to head on over to yours to surprise you," Anna grinned and enjoyed the adorable blush that covered the girl's face.
"And who the bloody hell are you?" Merida nearly hissed as she slammed her hands onto the table and stood. Rapunzel kept her smile as she gently placed her hand on Merida's shoulder to make her sit.
"Forgive our friend, I'm Rapunzel and the hothead is Merida, you obviously know Elsa," the brunette said sweetly but Elsa could feel the anger behind the friendly demeanor.
"Oh I'm Anna, Anna Arendelle?" The redhead asked as she frowned slightly.
"Elsa?" Rapunzel asked as she looked at the still blushing blonde.
"Anna is m-my partner," she said softly and the frown on Anna's face softened.
Merida and Rapunzel just stared at Elsa for a few seconds before looking to Anna then back at Elsa.
"You have a girlfriend?!" Merida yelled and Rapunzel tightened her grip on the redhead's shoulder.
"W-well yes, I-I was planning on telling you today," Elsa says and feels her scrunched up shoulders relax as Anna gently places her hands on them.
"How long have you two been dating?" Rapunzel asked kindly.
"Um, well...it's been three years?" Elsa says softly and silence falls over them.
"Three years?!" Both Merida and Rapunzel exclaim.
"Well, um, Anna is in the military, s-so we don't see each other that often," Elsa said and looked up to Anna who was gently rubbing her shoulders.
"That doesn't really excuse you for keeping this a secret," Rapunzel frowns and Elsa looks down.
"I am aware...I just...with how little we were seeing each other I just...I just wanted to be sure we were being serious," Elsa says softly as she looks back up to Anna. The redhead smiles softly before leaning down and kissing Elsa's nose.
"As serious as a heart attack," the sergeant smiled and Elsa couldn't help but melt.
"Aww so cute," Rapunzel cooed and Merida just grumbled and rolled her eyes.
"Please join us at the table," Rapunzel said after jabbing her elbow into Merida's side.
"You sure? I wouldn't want to interrupt a friendship lunch," Anna said, but took a seat nonetheless.
"How else are we to get to know Elsa's bae?" Rapunzel smiled.
"Punzy!" Elsa whined and blushed.
"What? It's what everyone calls it," Rapunzel giggled.
With that they all seemed to relax a little. Anna got along with them just fine, she was naturally good at talking with people and she could match Rapunzel's high energy.
Elsa was immensely happy that she could finally share her partner with her friends and the heavy weight of keeping Anna a secret finally lifted. Though she did like the idea that Anna was all hers, she knew that if she wanted this to last as long as possible she would have to share.
She could finally start a new chapter in her life story.
I hope that was a pleasant read~
Ya'll know how I like to try new things...should see my original works...eish...
