Episode 2

The Arrival and The Wizard

(Monaco Police Station)

Tony was receiving the information from the police officer, as he walked through the corridors with shinji and the police. They had to find out who the person was and their reasons for killing Stark.

Tony: Are you sure you want to do this boy? * asked as Shinji went along with him *

Shinji: Not really. But I can't let him in there alone Mr. Stark * replied when the French policemen backed off reaching their destination.

Tony: * added with a small smile * You think he might try to hurt me again.

It had taken some difficult negotiations and a lot of persistence, but Tony Stark and his assistant Shinji Ikari would be allowed to speak to the man who tried to kill Tony on the race track. Not only had the man attacked Tony, but in the process, at least a dozen drivers had been injured by the man as he cleared the way for Tony's arrival.

It was quite unsettling that something that could happen like that out of nowhere. Lots of people hurt, all because of him. Tony just played like he was too focused on the big guy with the energy whips coming out of his arms.

The officer had told her that they could only stay 5 minutes to speak to the man.

The door opened and the two of them were ushered into the waiting room. The room was shaped like a basic box, well lit, with security cameras in four corners. The thick concrete walls would prevent someone from trying to escape. Not that this was a problem for the muscular man who wore shackles on his ankles and handcuffs on his wrists. Just looking at his tattoo, both men would have thought that he had recently escaped from prison. His back was to them when they entered the room, sitting on a bench that could have sat 5 or 6 comfortably.

Tony made his move toward the man as Shinji stepped back to listen carefully. Stark insisted on talking to him, mainly because he had questions that needed answers, and personal feelings would only get in the way of this investigation.

Tony: Good Tech * said while walking slowly * two cycles per second could improve it… You could double the rotations… concentrate the plasma repulsors on tuned illion channels effective, not very efficient but an acceptable copy * sat on the end of the bench being in front ah he * I don't understand it with a little bit you could earn good money, sell it to North Korea or China, Iran or directly to the black market, it shows that you have friends in very slums

Shinji listened carefully to the conversation that Tony was telling him, as they were both analyzing the design of the man's Arc reactor before going to see it. The design was somewhat similar to that of Stark but with a lack of adjustments according to how Tony created it but being an identical replica of the Reactor. What they saw was handmade.

…: You come from a family… of thieves and thugs * the Russian man spoke * You try to rewrite your history and you forget… all the families that the Stark family destroyed.

The Russian man turned to Shinji who was approaching and raised an eyebrow at the sight.

…: And who are you? * Asked *

Shinji: I'm the one who stopped him at the race track * affirming * Mr. Vanko said as he approached standing in front of Stark and Vanko. (The guards had told Shinji and Tony his name before entering) *

As expected, a flash of understanding widened the Russian's eyes. This only told Shinji a lot about the man he was now sitting with.

Vanko: So then ... you are the iron man? * Asked with interest *

Shinji: Yes. As Mr. Stark's technical assistant, I am also required to wear the armor when he cannot.

Vanko: I see. Well then...

Shinji: * took something out of his pocket and placed it on the bench between them * Where did you get the design this * said, pointing to the arc unit *

The man smiled.

Vanko: * gave a small sigh sighed while looking at the child * My father Anton Vanko.

Shinji: I don't know who it is.

Tony: I don't know him either * I affirm since I had never heard this Anto Vanko before *

Vanko: * looked back at Tony * My father is the reason you are alive.

Tony: I'm alive but my assistant saved me from you trying to kill me and you failed.

Vanko: Sure ... If you can make god bleed. His people will stop believing in him and that will be something that your employee will not be able to avoid * he said in an almost wise tone, giving Shinji a brief glance for a few seconds to look at Tony *

Ah Shinji didn't like how that sounded, his boss never saw him as a god but a person with a great genius to protect the world. What this Russian man gave as a reference that Stark was a god and that civilians were the people, that killing him would make the world feel fear, despair if he ceased to exist.

Vanko: and there will be a lot of blood in the water and the sharks will come. Now I just have to sit and watch the world consume you.

Shinji: I don't want to be an introvert Mr. Vanko, how do you plan to do that? *I ask*

Tony: I know in prison, Shinji remind me to send you bar soap from there, you can see how they consume me * he said getting up going to the door along with his Assistant *

At the moment to open the door Vanko spoke.

Vanko: Ah Tony, if your assistant knows it too, the palladium of your heart is a way to die

That which he said left both Tony and Shinji in their tracks.

Shinji: he knows, he knows about Mr. Stark's condition The Reactor! * Thought to himself *

Shinji looked Tony straight in the eye ...

Just then the door opened, the guard entered.

"Time is over." he said.

Tony motioned for Shinji to leave while Ivan laughed.

Vanko: hahahahahahaha * chuckled *

Tony left the waiting room, leaving the Russian man to his fate.

(In Jet Stark Plane)

Pepper Potts sat watching TV watching Senator Steek giving his comments and opinions on the Monaco event, adding about Tony's actions on his suit technology. I talk about that nowhere in the world would there be suits like the ones I made towards Tony but there were.

Pepper sighed, the screen stopped when Tony appeared pausing with a tray of silverware and sitting across from the older woman.

Pepper: What is that? *I ask*

Tony: This is… * he said opening the lid * your food.

In the rebelo plate, a delicious well-presented egg omelet, well made, taken from a Gurmé magazine.

Pepper: * looked at him for a few seconds * Did you prepare it? * asked *

Tony: Yes, where do you think I was these 3 hours * answered *

Peeper: * I look into his eyes with doubt * Shinji prepared it right? * guessing she wasn't dumb enough to know Tony very well and she knows he's a great inventor, but not a good cook to make a 5-Premiere meal of a fancy restaurant *

Tony did not answer anything to the truth, and shinji had told him that Mrs. Peeper would not go down so easily with a good meal, making him believe that he made it.

Pepper: Tony… why don't you tell me what's going on?

Tony: * settled into the room looking at the sky through the window * I don't want to go home ... No more * pepper blinks while he continued * So I have to cancel my birthday and I invite you to be in Europe in Venice, you remember.

Pepper: Yes.

Tony: It's a… a great place to be in good health.

Pepper: I don't think there is a better time. Because there are many problems there.

Tony: think about it it might be a great idea ...

Pepper: To be the CEO I would have to see it.

Tony: You have every right to ... Permissions

Pepper: really?

Tony: the corporate system

Pepper: but it had just started.

Tony: I may load it between so many days and think4 of just that.

Pepper: Not everyone works the way you want Tony.

As the couple chatted on the side of the plane, Shinji sat looking at the sunset sky. Natalia was looking at him on the other side of the seat, in her hand she held the mini arc reactor that Vanko had built.

Natalia: Is something wrong, Shinji-san? * He asked, suddenly appearing next to her.

Shinji: No, Ms. Rushman. Just ... thinking nothing more * he replied, still looking at the reactor in his hands, closing his eyes as his mind returned to see how all this had started, in it there was only one word that came to his mind * Rei ... * He said whispering low *

(FLASHBACK, STARK INDUSTRIES SIX MONTHS AGO)

Tony: Potts! * said through his armor from the rooftop *

Pepper: Tony! * said from the ground floor to his blue tooth *

Tony: This is not working. We're going to have to overload the reactor and blow up the roof * said *

Pepper: Well, how are you going to do that? *I ask*

Tony: You're going to * he said calmly * When I tell you, go to the center console, open all the circuits. When I get away from the ceiling, I'll let you know. You're going to hit the main divert button. Everything is going to be fried up here.

Pepper: Okay. I'm going in now * he said as he headed towards the slightly collapsed building *

Tony: Make sure you wait until I clear the roof. I'll buy you some time.

The ten foot armored creature stalked around the smoky ceiling, searching for its target. She didn't have to wait long, as a red and gold figure suddenly jumped up and landed on her back.

Stane: What? *panting*

Stark Haha! *scream*

Stane: Get out of me! * yelled as he shook himself to shake the man *

Tony: This seems important! * said as he reached into his opponent's neck and pulled out various cables and circuits *

Out of frustration, Stane gave another massive jerk and threw Tony out of him onto the glass ceiling that overlooked the reactor.

Stane: I never liked this kind of thing, but I must admit I'm really enjoying the suit * he yelled after discarding his front chest piece that was revealed in the armored suit * You finally outdid yourself Tony! You would have made your father proud!

Pepper: Ready Tony! Get off the roof! * yelled at Tony from inside the factory *

However, Obadiah begins shooting Tony with his gatling gun, causing the glass ceiling to collapse. Tony gets caught dangling from the hole opening.

Pepper: Tony! *Scream*

Stane: How ironic, Tony! Trying to rid the world of weapons, you gave it the best of all! *Said*

Stark: Pepper! * yelled back *

Stane: And now ... I'm going to kill you with it! *scream.

A rocket fires from Obadiah's wrist, but it lengthens and hits the other side of the ceiling.

Stane: You started my guidance system! *the Scream*

Stark: Time to push the button! * yelled at Pepper *

Pepper: You told me not to! *Scream*

Stane: Stay still, you little jerk! * Obadiah yelled as he fired another missile at Tony Stark, this one was getting closer *

Stark: Just do it! *scream*

Pepper: You will die! *Scream*

Stane fired a rocket at Stark, only to miss and hit the other side of the building.

Stark: PUSH IT! * screamed again *

However, it was just as Pepper fired the arc reactor, a light appeared from him - a lone figure coming out of him, on the ceiling right between Tony and Stane.

Stane: Huh? *panting*

Stark: What? *panting*

…: (Where?) * The Japanese boy gasped *

BOOM!

The arc reactor exploded upward with immense power just as Tony dove in to try to pull the boy out of the line of fire.

Normally, the unleashing of such massive energy would have fried anyone caught in its path.

Such was not the case with Tony Stark and Shinji Ikari.

As Obadiah was killed by the brunt of the explosion, something unexpected happened to Shinji and Tony. As they stood to the side, a stray bolt of energy lunged at Stark and struck him on the back. His Mark I arc reactor reignited, but the energy continued to rise through the armor and body, until Tony lunged out and struck Shinji.

It is a scientific fact that information can be transferred from one place to another through electrical signals. That is, when the energy from the arc reactor went through Tony and struck Shinji, it interacted with the electrical impulses in Stark's brain, the energy from the arc copied Stark's neural energy and then transferred its impulses to Shinji's brain.

In effect, Stark's knowledge was copied and pasted into Shinji's brain.

But he did not stop there. Subsequently, as electricity increases through areas of the brain, the faster and more efficiently the brain functions, even to the point of opening untapped and unused brain regions.

This allowed Shinji to understand the technical knowledge he now possessed. But while Stark was protected from the energy surge thanks to his armor, Shinji's connecting suit-covered body continued to be bombarded by energy from the arc reactors. This resulted in his latent angelic DNA being activated. His cells absorbed the energy and transformed his body to compensate for the increased power he was receiving.

(That is why he is now 20 years old)

Shortly after Tony Stark's press conference announcement that he was Iron Man, Stark visited Shinji, who was in recovery at the hospital.

Tony: How is he? * asked as Pepper was sitting outside the hospital room *

Pepper: Well, physically he's fine, even if he's in his 20s now.

Tony: And that's normal because ...

Pepper: According to the security cameras on the ceiling, the boy in question is about 14 years old. We use an age identification software program that you invented.

Tony: Right. I remember. The FBI paid well for that. "He said.

Pepper: But after the explosion, I was no longer 14 years old. Which is impossible.

Tony: Not really.

Pepeer: Huh?

Tony: If a human body is capable of absorbing massive amounts of energy, it might be possible for that body to refresh itself to survive that energy.

Pepper looked at Tony in shock.

Tony: I read it in a comic.

Pepper sweat fell when he said that.

Tony: Also, it's the only thing I can think of that would explain his age improvement * said * Can I see it?

Pepper: Sure. But ... you might want to get ready, "she said.

Tony: What for? *I ask*

Pepper: Well ... he asked for a lot of paper and some pens.

Tony: * looked at her curiously * Why?

Pepper: This * she said, handing him a sheet of paper from her folder *

Tony stared at the detailed sketch on the paper, staring at Pepper in shock, before rushing into the room where a 20-year-old Japanese man was sitting on the bed drawing dozens of pieces of paper with the pens he was given. Before Tony could speak, he ran out into the hall. Sneaking into the room

Stark: hello it's good to see you're awake * he said, trying to be calm and friendly, even as he tightly gripped the piece of paper in his hand * isn't your name?

Shinji: Oh. Hello sir my name is shinji ikari * said the 20 year old looking up for a brief moment before going back to the drawings he was doing *

Stark walked over to his side and looked at the drawing he was working on, as well as the others that were scattered around the bed.

All were technical specifications and blueprints ... of the Arc Reactor and Iron Man's armor! Also, there were notations of exactly what materials to use and how to combine them.

Stark: This ... is not good * he thought while looking at the sketches and the young man who was working hurriedly * Is something wrong? You seem ... in a hurry.

Shinji: I just ... can't get these formulas and images out of my mind * he said as he continued to work on the paper in front of him * And these are ... I've seen these images before, but I've never seen so much detail before. I see numbers and letters ... scientific and mathematical formulas that keep popping up one after another, I ... I know what they mean, but ... I don't know what I'm creating? * The information that seemed in his mind was enough for think of a certain person who was still in force, but was still visible in his memory.

Tony: Something that could be a problem for everyone, especially him, if they found out what he was creating * he thought as he looked at the designs. Some were from his Iron Man armor, but some of the papers had variations that were neither ugly nor impossible * Are you creating new types of armor? This is bad! If the military finds out about this, they will force you to create all kinds of weapons for them that ... will lead to a global war, or worse ... the ultimate destruction of humanity * then he saw some leaves that looked like the face of a young about 14 years * That's it ... girl ... * he thought as he looked, the girl he saw seemed to be floating in a darkness alone, in a fetal position as if she were in nothing *

She looked back when a shot of pain thought in her chest. It wasn't the arc reactor or the shrapnel in her chest. It was guilt and shame for what she was considering, in doing to the boy.

Tony: Damn! I can't do how can I prevent this brilliant mind from now causing untold damage to the world? * thought ... and then smiled * Excuse me, Shinji boy, right?

Shinji: Yes sir? *I ask*

"Stark: Would you be interested in a job? * Asked *

And that's how Shinji Ikari became Tony Stark's technical assistant.

Tony took Shinji to his mansion in Malibu, California, and to his garage where he had developed his armored technology.

It was there that Tony and Shinji exchanged their stories, while JARVIS, the home computer, listened intently.

Although JARVIS was simply an incredibly advanced AI, Stark hoped that the house computer would be able to discern whether Shinji was telling the truth about what happened to him or not.

While Stark revealed his own past to Shinji, from his father's early career working on the Manhattan Project, to Tony's eventual rise to succeed him as CEO of Stark Enterprises, developing advanced weapons for the US military, His wild parties and glamorous lifestyle, and leading up to his capture by the terrorist group Ten Rings. It was there that he and Dr. Yinsen developed the somewhat crude armored suit that allowed him to escape. But it was there that he also developed his mini arc reactor that powered the suit, as well as saved his life.

Once back in the United States, Stark discontinued his weapons program and perfected his armored suit, which he used to attack the Ten Rings after learning that more of his weapons had found their way into his hands. But it was later that he found out that his business partner, Obadiah Stane, had had him killed by the Ten Rings. Worse still, he had built his own armored suit, which was more powerful than Tony's, to sell to the army for billions of dollars.

It was only thanks to Pepper and the explosive arc reactor that Stane was killed along with his Iron Monger suit.

But it was also during this explosion that Shinji appeared on the roof, almost out of nowhere, and was exposed to the energy from the arc reactors.

It was because of this that Stark offered his own theory about what happened to Shinji, both physically and intellectually.

Naturally, Shinji was surprised but also a little concerned. More than the fact that he actually understood the science behind Stark's explanation, as well as the technical expertise required to create the armor.

Of course, that was the problem.

Even when Shinji told Stark and JARVIS about his life as an Eva pilot, starting from when his mother died, his father abandoned him, he was forced to pilot an Eva, the pains of various battles, he even forced him to kill his friend. German and then until he faced the 10th Angel who had devoured his fellow pilot Rei Ayanami with his Eva Unit 00 to save her. He himself said that he had saved her but then something strange happened, they were in white place, immense waves that hit him and Rei made them separate suddenly. That hurt Shinji a lot in the soul he went through so much to only lose her again. After which it was found on the roof of Stark Enterprises, and was destroyed by the energy of the arc reactors. Something is this gave stark more theories and knowing that Shinji had not come alone as he believed.

Despite the strange transformation he had undergone, Shinji realized what Stark was finally wearing. Namely, the fact that he now possessed the knowledge of how to create his Iron Man armor. Because of this, and because Stark had no intention of killing him, Shinji realized that the position of "technical assistant" was in ultimately a means of preventing Stark's knowledge from being used against innocent people as they had done in Afghanistan.

But also, after finding out that Tokyo-3 did not exist, that Second Impact did not happen, Shinji was lost as to Rei who did not know where he could be and what he should do in this world. There was a part of Shinji that knew that she in some part of the world was alone and scared without knowledge, just thinking about that made her very afraid of what might happen to her.

Stark actually decided to offer her help to Shinji in finding her mate who had come. It is the best thing you could do for her and freely offer her what she needed. By doing this, she would have someone else to have company with besides JARVIS.

This left Shinji with a heart full of hope that he could find Rei again. But inside she felt a little sad if she didn't know if she would see Misato and friends from her world again. Even though he didn't know that he had done something for the sake of saving Ayanami.

.

.

.

Shinji Ikari was not Tony Stark.

Despite having his intellect, he did not possess the same personality as the playboy inventor. Pepper Potts actually found this refreshing, Shinji never kept his distance from her. Even though he was with a hyper-aggressive girl, that didn't make him feel that another person was the same.

Something about it made Shinji feel something different, as more self-confident than ever more mature. He didn't know if it was his intellect that was affecting his personality a bit or it was his age. In a broader summary, he felt that his spinal column grew without being afraid of what he was facing, something in which he wished it had been that way before when he was 14 years old, even facing his father in all decisions he made, or better to give him a beautiful blow in the face.

Notes

Hello I hope you liked the new update of the story. I know there is no action up to here but I wanted to explain how shinji had come to Stark.

I want to apologize if Rei is not featured in this story but is mentioned. If you're wondering why I have another plan for her, in the Fanfic I think you might like.

The story will be like in the movie but with some changed scenes or something like that. I will give more explanation and details in the future. Enjoy the story, if you happen to think I need an editor I'd like to hear your opinions.
