Episode 1: Part 2: Invitation
Ruby was brought to a dark room by Glynda with a tablet computer in her hand, paces around the table Ruby is seated at, right underneath a bright light. "I hope that you realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, young lady. You put yourself and others in great danger," Glynda said angrily.
"They started it!" Ruby argued.
"If it was up to me, you'd be sent home... With a pat on the back... And a slap on the wrist," Glynda explained while she demonstrates with her riding crop, which Ruby barely avoids as she gives out an 'Eeek!' "But... there is someone here who would like to meet you,"
Glynda moves out of the way so a surprised Ruby can see a man in green come through the doorway, holding a mug and a plate of cookies. "Ruby Rose..." The man in green said as he leans in to look at her face. "You... have silver eyes,"
Ruby was completely speechless and wasn't able to form a single word about herself. "So! Where did you learn to do this?" The man asked, gesturing with his head at the tablet showing Ruby's fighting.
"S-Signal Academy," Ruby replied.
"They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" The man interrogated Ruby.
"Well, one teacher in particular," Ruby answered.
The man nodded and puts the cookies on the table in front of Ruby. She tentatively picks one up, eats it in a single bite, and then, not seeing any rebuttal, shovels the rest into her mouth. "It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow..." The man explained.
"Oh! That's my uncle!" Ruby said with her mouth full then she swallows and wipes her mouth, embarrassed. "Sorry. That's my Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like— Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!" Ruby proceeds to make some karate-style poses and noises.
"So I've noticed," The man whispered and places his cup on the table as he leans in, then sits down opposite Ruby. "And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?"
"Well... I want to be a Huntress." Ruby said.
"You want to slay monsters?" the man asked.
"Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Hey, I might as well make a career out of it! I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know!" Ruby explains with her enthusiasm growing and a wide, crazy smile. Glynda and Ozpin study her carefully.
"Do you know who I am?" The man asked.
"You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon," Ruby replied. Ozpin smiled and they greeted each other.
"You want to come to my school?" Ozpin asked once more.
"More than anything," Ruby replied with enthusiasm. Ozpin exchange look at Glynda, who shows her disapproval with a "Hmmph" before he turns back to Ruby.
"Well, okay," Ozpin said and Ruby smiles, wide-eyed and open-mouthed.
*Meanwhile*
In Gwen's apartment, she was sitting in the desk reading a paper in her hand. It was a letter that belongs to Ozpin that she was invited to be part of the Beacon Academy and it was also the request of her father. She read every text carefully and flick the paper with her finger while she was feeding off from the corpse of the man she invited to her room a while ago.
Then a knock was heard in her door. She did not bother responding to the door and continues off, reading the letter. Another knock in the door and this time with the voice of a male person. "Excuse me, miss. Did something die in there? It stinks like hell!"
Gwen turns her attention to the door and stares blankly at it. She was looking for the right answer for the question and she was able to come up with something that might get the person off her door. "Mind your goddamn business, dickhead!" Gwen yelled. Then she heard footsteps on her door, indicating that the person has left. She went back to reading the letter and she found out that she will be picked tomorrow morning. She flips the paper and kept it in her booklist.
Once she was done consuming the corpse, she packed her things in her suitcase and went for a hot shower to clear her scent of rotting flesh and blood off of her body. She came out of her shower and wore the same brown coat with a black shirt underneath it, a blue skirt for her bottom wear, and black boots.
She came out of her room and walk straight to the counter to return the keys. She exits from the apartment and walking her way to the destination where all students will be picked up by an airship.
*Timeskip*
The people who are attending Beacon were transported in an airship. Ruby was aboard the ship along with her older sister, Yang Xiao Long, who was tackling her and crushing her air out. "Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" Yang said with excitement.
"Please stop," Ruby said when Yang releases her.
"But I'm so proud of you!" Yang argued.
"Really Sis, it was nothin," Ruby said.
"What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees," Yang explained.
"I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." Ruby said.
"What's with you? Aren't you excited?" Yang asked.
"Of course I'm excited... I just..." Ruby paused with a sigh. "I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything,"
"But you are special," Yang said by going over and giving her sister a one-armed hug.
Next to Ruby and Yang was Gwen reading through a notebook, filled with Infos about The history of Remnant. She read through the sections about the history of Faunus and Human war, Semblance, and the origins of the Grimm. Then her attention was drawn to the 2-D animated newscast on Vale News Network playing nearby, talking about the robbery and showing Roman's mug shot.
The mugshot changes to Lisa Lavender, with a photo of animal-eared demonstrators holding signs saying "WE ARE NOT ANIMALS!" followed by an image of the logo of a growling red wolf's head with three scratch marks. Until the news feed is cut off as a hologram of Glynda replaces it. "Hello, and welcome to Beacon!" Glynda greeted.
"Who's that?" Yang asked.
"My name is Glynda Goodwitch," The hologram of Glynda continued. " You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." The hologram disappeared as soon as it was done explaining.
Ruby and the rest of the students gave a cry of surprise and look through the glass walls at the town below. Gwen joined the sightseeing and blankly look at the view with no interest or emotion. Then she heard a passenger groaning and hunched over nearby, running to the back of the ship. "Well... I guess the view isn't for everyone." Yang commented with her eyes rolled.
"It was a nice moment while it lasted," Ruby commented as The ship is seen approaching Beacon across a large body of water.
Gwen continues to read from her notebook to learn more but was distracted when she hears the sister was complaining about a spill of vomit went to one of their shoes. Gwen gave a silent growl of annoyance and pop out her headset to her ears and continue her reading. It was going to be a long ride to Beacon.

Note: The organism here is symbiote but I want to refer to it as 'Klyntar' from the maximum venom files. Also, the Klyntar is immune to music so noises won't hurt it unless if the volume is more than 100% and one last thing, The Klyntar slowly develops a personality the longer it stays in Gwen's body.
