Prologue

1997

It's the middle of the night, My friends and I we were standing in front of a hospital. I stare at the most cutest baby in my arms. He was red from his wailing earlier but the moment I got him in my arms rocking him he slowly calming down. I fixed his blanket and in the process he grabbed my finger and held on to it not letting go.

"Aw" said one of my friends. All of them surrounded me looking at the new born.

"He is so tiny and shmol." One of them coo'ed.

"Yes he is adorable, we still have to hand him over. Now go Y/N." Another one brought us all back to our senses. He yawned moving around to a position where he was cozy and cuddled.

"You are right." I looked at the hospital and back at all my friends they smiled and nod to encourage me.

I walked in to seeing a man shouting at the nurses at the front desk and a woman sitting on a wheelchair crying.

"A nurse took him! what do you mean no one was supposed to take him for anything!? She told us the doctor changed his mind and said he has to stay with the other babies being monitored. Where is our son!?" The man shouted. I knew right away and walked over to them.

"Excuse me!?" I shouted. Everyone went silent looking in my direction. "Could this...could this be your baby?" The woman slowly stood up with the help of her husband.

I slowly walked over to them and showed them the sleeping infant. They looked at the name tag on the hand that was holding on to my finger and she Started sobbing nodding her head. I placed the baby in her arms and tried to pry my finger out of the baby's grip.

"Quite the grip he's got there." I nervously laughed and finally got my finger back. The baby fussed a bit then went back to sleep.

"Thank you so much for bringing back my baby." The woman said as she sat back down on the wheelchair. I nodded smiling at her. Her husband pushed her as they walked away.

"Please wait here I'm going to get the police so they can have your statement." A nurse informed me. I nodded as she turned running to get the police.

I looked at everyone busy in there duties then backed away leaving the hospital without anyone noticing. I went back to my friends and we left the hospital as quickly as we could.

"See you soon." I mumbled and smiled to myself.
