Interlude 6
Meanwhile the shadow sirens and Doopliss had returned to the x-naut base.
"You fools." said Grodus. "How could you fall for a fake crystal star? That's asinine."
"Excuse us great Grodus." said Beldam. "It looked so lifelike."
"I should do away with once and for all, but I'm feeling generous, so I'll give you one last chance. Go and I'll inform you when the time has come." said Grodus
"Yes sir." said Beldam and disappeared in the shadows with Marilyn. Doopliss who couldn't do that just left the room. There was only an x-naut left with Grodus in there.
"Let me guess. Since we have the fake that means Mario managed to take the real one, right?" said Grodus
"I'm gonna say… maybe?" said the x-naut
"Urggggg. This mustached menace has nearly every crystal star. They were mine. I must alter my plan a bit." said Grodus
"Before you do sir, I have a report to make." said the x-naut
"What is it? Speak!" said Grodus
The x-naut approached him and whispered something in his ear.
"What? Are you sure?" said Grodus in shock
"Affirmative sir." said the x-naut
"Hmmm. Treason." said Grodus
Meanwhile, Peach was in her room
"Strange." she said. "Isn't it time for TEC to call me in? maybe he's busy."
When she said that the door opened.
"Oh. Here we go."
She left her room and went to the computer room.
"Hello TEC. What do you want today?" she said
"I... I have reached a conclusion." said TEC
Peach was confused.
"I have been trying to decide between sticking to orders and speaking to you and I cannot decide what I should believe."
"TEC. You don't sound yourself." said Peach. "What's wrong?"
"Princess Peach. Please escape from this place as soon as possible." said TEC
"What? Why? What's with you all of a sudden?"
"I've finished analyzing the data you procured and I found sir Grodus' plans.
"Grodus' plans?" said Peach. "You mean about conquering the world?"
"Yes. And among these plans is the reason why you are held here. According to the data…"
Even today we are not sure what TEC told Peach. But when he was done, Peach was shocked.
"No. It cannot be." she said
"Yes. It's true." said TEC. "That's why you must leave this place."
"But how? I don't have the faintest where I' m being held."
"I will not hide anything anymore. No, not from you." said TEC. "Peach, this place where you are currently imprisoned, this is the moon."
"What? The moon. You mean the moon that hangs up in the sky at night? That moon?"
"That is correct" said TEC.

"Understood." said TEC.
Peach started writing a message, but before she could finish it, the door opened and someone shouted:

She turned around and said: "You."
She had seen Grodus with two x-nauts.
"TEC, you miserable machine. We know what you are up to traitor." said Grodus
"Sir Grodus. I..." said TEC
"In my most paranoid moments I never thought my own computer would betray me." said Grodus. "But it doesn't really matter. Especially since it ends now."

Yes sir." Said both of them. Then they pressed the buttons.
"TEC! NO!" shouted Peach

Then he turned off.

"Too bad princess Peach." said Grodus. "TEC is no longer with us."

No." said Peach and tried to resist. The two x-nauts took out two strange sticks and shocked her. She fell unconscious on the floor.
"Go and inform the shadow sirens." said Grodus. "The time has come."
Meanwhile, Bowser was in Rogueport and he wasn't really happy.
"Grrrrrmph. Hrrrrrrgh. Bluh. I have no crystal stars. I can't find princess Peach. And Twilight town…. It was awful. What's going on? If this keeps up Mario will steal everything from me. As usual."
Suddenly, he heard a voice: "Your massiveness."
He turned around and saw Kammy koopa who had just arrived on her flying broom.
"We did it my lord." she said. "The magikoopa scouts found a secret underground chamber. It's not even on any maps. It's really suspicious. The hammer bros. battalion are trying to breach it, but it's impenetrable. There's scrapping tooth and nail in there. "
Finally. It's about time something worked out for old bowser. Lead me there." said Bowser. "I'll blast us through. No problem."
The both left. Then Luigi appeared. He was confused that no one was around. He didn't know everyone had fled to escape from Bowser. You are sure wondering what's Luigi doing in Rogueport. That's another story. For now, let's go back to Bowser. He with Kammy koopa tried to get into the chamber. He used his fire breathe to break through. There were a few hindrances like falling rocks and lava, but they avoided them all. Bowser, avoided most stuff and what he couldn't avoid, he destroyed it. In the end, they arrived in some sort of gym.
"Incredible lord Bowser." said Kammy koopa. "Nothing stood in your way. You're so super."
"Please. I felt right at home." said Bowser. "But where are we now?'
"it looks like a gym." said Kammy koopa. She then noticed something and said: "Gracious me. King Bowser, look. On the wall behind you."
Bowser looked. On the wall, apart from many photos of Rawk Hawk, there was also the champion's belt from the Glitz pit with the fake crystal star on it."
"Could it be? Yes, a crystal star." said Bowser. "Advantage Bowser."
"He he he heee. We finally found one and now we'll make it ours." said Kammy koopa. She was about to take it when she heard a voice:
"Freeze."
They both turned around and saw Rawk Hawk.
"Who are you?" asked Kammy koopa
"What? You don't know the great Rawk Hawk." said Rawk Hawk. "You don't' recognize these muscles. This hugeness. I don't know how, but you discovered my secret training facility. I even imported some traps to increase the difficulty. You're tough. However, that means nothing. My champion's belt belongs to … me."
Bowser and Kammy koopa approached him and Bowser said:
"Oh, what an adorable little weakling. Hi fella."
"Weakling. Wait what?" said Rawk Hawk. "Well, tell me. Have you ever seen a weakling… do this?"
He then jumped and tried to kick Bowser, but Bowser jumped. The result was that Rawk Hawk kicked Kammy koopa who hit against the wall and Bowser landed on Rawk hawk.
"Pain." said Rawk Hawk who turned flat.
"Awww, now you're sleeping. I knew you were a weakling." said Bowser
Then the crystal star from the belt fell off due to Kammy koopa hitting against the wall, landed on Kammy koopa's head and broke.
"Oh no. the crystal star. It split in two." said Kammy koopa. "Oh no, oh no, oh no." Then she looked at it and suddenly said: "Huh? Hold the phone. that's made of glass. It's a flimflam."
"What? Speak English." said Bowser
"You… ow… want the real one?" asked Rawk Hawk. "The… off… great… urk… Gonzales has it. Oh, my aching hair. Feel… the... Rawk."
"I don't know anyone named Gonzales. Don't speak with riddles. Who do I have to flatten to get a crystal star? Who? Whoooooooo?" said Bowser and started bumping his foot on the floor in anger.
Now let's go back to Mario and his friends who retuned back to Rogueport with the excess express. As they got off, Mario received an e-mail
"This must be from princess peach." said Bobbery
Mario opened his mailbox SP and read:
"Dear Mario,
I now know where I' m being held. I' m on the moon. Yes, the moon that hangs out in space. And I've learnt something even more horrifying. In order to resurrect the demon, these fiends need my…"
"The moon? That's crazy." said Goombela
"And why do they need her to resurrect the demon?" asked koops
"That's why they are holding here captive." said Flurrie
"Yeah. Not for the map." said Bobby
"But why was her mail cut off?' asked Vivian
"You think something happened to her?" said Ms. Mowz
"What can we do?" asked Bobbery
"Find the last crystal star and end this." said Mario
They went to the sewers. There they saw a guy who said:
"I just discovered a pipe to Poshley heights. I can go there without the excess express. It in that room"
"Great. Thanks for the information." said Mario and went to the thousand-year door with his friends. There he held the crystal star and the last crystal star appeared on the map. It was white and appeared on a base on the moon. The x-naut base.
"It can't be." said Bobby
"yes. The last crystal star is…" said Goombela
Later our heroes took the map to professor Frankly who looked at it and said:
"Hrmm. If what the map indicates is correct then the location of the final crystal star is… The moon.
"That's where princess Peach is." said Koops
"The x-nauts have it." said Mario
"The problem is, how does one get to the moon? Quite a conundrum. Allow me look into this. This shouldn't take long."
He started looking into his books and then said:
"Ermm... this may a while longer than I thought, so come back in a while."
Mario and his friends left the house and walked a bit. They were worried about what had happen to princess Peach. Why was her mail cut off? What were the x-nauts planning to do with her? They had to rescue her before it was too late. After a while they returned to professor Frankly and he said:
"Excellent timing. I have it. You must go to Fahr outpost and use their canon."
"I've seen that canon before." said Bobbery
"Excellent." said professor Frankly
"Um, hello? We'll use a canon to get to the moon?" said Goombela
"Yes. Isn't it dangerous?" asked Mario
"I know how it sounds. To be honest, I'm not sure of all the details. There are stories of a device there that can launch anything, anywhere. Even to the moon." said professor Frankly
"How do we get there?" asked Bobby
"I believe there's a pipe under Rogueport, but it won't be easy to find. I think it was hidden for some reason."
We'll find it." said Mario
"Alsο, the bob-ombs who live there are sort of a surly bunch. They may not let you sue their canon. You'll have to negotiate with them."
"We got this." said Mario and left with his friends. They went to the sewers. At first, they couldn't find the pipe. Eventually, they found a dead end. The way was blocked by a giant rock
"I smell something behind this rock." said Ms. Mowz
"Lets' see" said Mario. They all tried to move the rock, but it didn't even budge. Bobbery caused an explosion, but the rock barely cracked. Vivian used her fire powers and cracked it more. Then Bobby put his giant tongue into the crack and broke the rock in two. This revealed a room behind it.
"Good work." said Mario
They entered the room and found a pipe in it. They were sure it was the pipe to Fahr outpost and so, they went through it.
