Rikka, Mana, and Makoto were eating lunch in their classroom. It was the first place they thought of where they could possibly get away from the noisy students. Rikka and Makoto were chatting away as they ate their food, while Mana, was unusually quiet. Her friends noticed her silence. Rikka and Makoto looked at the girl in worry, was she not feeling well? Did they or someone else upset her? They didn't know. They watched as Mana gazed out the window, not paying attention to anything around her.

"Mana," Makoto said, snapping the girl out of her thoughts, "are you alright?"

"Hm?" Mana looked at her friends.

"You weren't talking." Rikka stated.

Mana looked at the two girls, had her worry been obvious?

"I'm just worried about Regina." she said.

Rikka looked at the magenta-haired girl in confusion. "Why? She isn't a new student anymore."

Mana turned and looked out the window again.

"I have a bad feeling," she said, "I don't know why but I don't like it."

Rikka wrapped her arm around her childhood friend in attempt to comfort her, Mana rested her head against Rikka's in response.

"I'm sure she's fine, Mana." Rikka smiled.

Mana wasn't so sure about that.

Class had begun 17 minutes ago and the uneasy feeling had not left Mana, in fact, it had actually gotten stronger. Mana's classmates seemed to have noticed, they keeping shooting worried glances at her. The girl's uneasiness was bringing a negative feeling into the atmosphere. Mana looked at the classroom doors, however, Mr. Kido had looked up from marking tests and saw her.

"Mana," he called, "that's the 13th time you looked at the doors, what is going on?"

"Gomen sensei," Mana apologized, "I'm just really worried about Regina."

"Why?"

"You sent her to go help Takuya plant some flowers in the courtyard last class and she hadn't come back with Takuya."

Mr. Kido and the class turned to face Takuya, he too seemed a bit worried.

"Do you happen to know where she is?" Mr. Kido asked the boy.

"No sensei," Takuya replied, "she said she had heard a noise and was going to check it out when we finished, I haven't seen her since she left."

The atmosphere got heavier as he said those words. Mana's hands began shaking. Her heart was racing as her mind was flooded with thoughts. She desperately wanted to go search for her lover.

"You may go look for her Mana." Mr. Kido said as if he had read her thoughts. "Rikka and Takuya, go with her."

Mana had shot out of her seat and raced out of the door, Rikka and Takuya followed. Mana had slowed down once she had reached the entrance to the courtyard. Rikka and Takuya were out of breath by the time they reached her.

"Why are you so fast?" Takuya panted.

"Yeah, you could have gave us a heads up at least." Rikka chuckled.

Mana ignored them and began calling out for her girlfriend. "Regina!"

Rikka and Takuya looked at each other before copying Mana and calling out for their classmate and friend. Mana was just about drowning in her thoughts. What if Regina was hurt? What if she was kidnapped- well, she could have teleported away for that one. Mana was terrified, her girlfriend was missing, and she had no way of knowing if she was alright or not. Rikka searched the right side of the courtyard with Takuya while Mana searched the left side.

"Regina!" Mana called.

She had already looked behind every tree and in every corner, where could she be? Mana walked into the small garden that was guarded by tall, wall-like bushes. She scanned the area.

"Regina!" Mana called again, she was getting really scared now. "Regina where are you-!?"

Mana stopped frozen in her tracks, her eyes glued towards the shed. She could see somebody's arm on the ground behind the shed, as if someone was laying down. Mana ran towards the shed and looked behind it, she paled instantly at what she saw.

"Rikka!" Mana screamed. "Rikka, I found her! Someone go get the nurse!"

Mana kneeled beside Regina, the blonde was out cold on the ground. She had bruises and cuts covering her arms and legs, she had a cut lip, dried blood around her nose and mouth, and her left eye was swollen and bruised bad.

"Oh my god.." Rikka kneeled down beside Mana and the unconscious girl, her eyes wide with shock and fear. "Takuya go get the nurse!"

Takuya, who had been standing behind Rikka, turned and raced back into the school. Rikka pressed two fingers on the left side of Regina's neck, near her neck. Relieved that she could feel a pulse, she turned to Mana.

"She's alive, but this isn't looking good." she said, causing Mana to look at her, visibly more scared.

Mana looked like she was about to start hyperventilating, as Rikka tried to calm her friend down Takuya returned with the school nurse and their teacher.

"What happened!?" Mr. Kido asked frantically.

"I don't know," Rikka replied, "Mana was the one who found her first."

The school nurse knelt down beside Mana, Rikka, and Regina, and began to check the blonde's condition, as he did that Mr. Kido knelt down to Mana's right and looked her in the eyes.

Noticing how scared she was, he placed his left hand on her right shoulder and asked calmly. "What happened?"

"I.." Mana couldn't reply, she was just too in shock and afraid to form words.

Tears formed in the corners of the girl's eyes, Mr. Kido frowned and pulled the girl into his arms, embracing her. Mr. Kido gently rubbed her back in attempt to calm her, but to no avail. Rikka was speaking to the school nurse as that was going on.

"I didn't know if it was safe to move her, I didn't want to possibly hurt her more." Rikka explained.

"It's good that you didn't," the school nurse replied, "I'm not 100 percent positive, but I think she has sustained one or two broken ribs."

The school nurse turned and looked at Mr. Kido, his eyes said it all.

"I'll call them." Mr. Kido said as he let Rikka take Mana from him.

He stood up, took out his phone and dialed 119. Rikka held Mana close to her, whispering to her and telling her it was okay. The magenta-haired girl was clinging to her and crying hard. Teachers and students had noticed the commotion and were watching what was going on outside below, by the time the ambulance arrived, lights flashing and the siren blaring, the windows were filled with students and their teachers.

"What happened?" The first paramedic asked while his crew followed behind him with the backboard, stretcher, and medical supplies.

"We have no idea, but it seems like she was assaulted." the school nurse explained.

Someone had attacked her girlfriend? Mana was beyond pissed off, she clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, the girl was shaking with anger and hatred. Rikka and Takuya noticed the strong, negative aura that their friend was giving off.

"Mana?" Takuya said, but took a step back and raised his right arm in shock when he saw Mana's eyes.

The girl's eyes were no longer their normal magenta color, they were red. Like how Regina's eyes were when she was overcome by her selfishness and greed. Rikka's eyes widened in realization, she had read about this phenomenon before in one of the ancient precure books. When one is overcome by the emotion(s) they hate feeling, their eyes will turn red and they will not behave like their normal selves. If a precure is suffers this fate, their normal glow that they give off when reaching max power and their power color will turn red, this is harder to spot with a red cure if they are already transformed or if their eyes are red.

"Mana, you need to calm down." Rikka said, her voice shaky with worry.

"Someone hurt her." Mana growled.

"Yes Mana someone did, but we can deal with that later, our top priority is getting Regina to the hospital."

The paramedics had finished inspecting Regina's injuries and bandaging what they could, they had her in a neck brace and strapped to the backboard for safety. The paramedic who drove the ambulance placed his hand on Mana's left shoulder.

"Your girlfriend will be just fine, we'll take care of her." he reassured her. "We have informed the police, they'll handle finding the ones responsible for causing harm to her."

Mana nodded, her eyes reverting back to their normal color as she calmed down.

"School has been closed early," Mr. Kido informed his students as he put his walkie talkie away, "you might want to go pick up your things and head home."

"Yes sensei." Mana, Rikka, and Takuya headed back into the school.

Rikka sensed Mana's anger flaring back up again and pulled her childhood friend into her embrace.

"Don't think about who did it Mana," she said sternly, "the police will handle that."

"She didn't deserve what happened to her.." Mana said quietly, burring her face in Rikka's shoulder.

Rikka gently rubbed the girl's back to comfort her, Rikka looked at Takuya who was watching them sadly.

"Whoever did it better get caught." he said as he looked at the ground.
