Prologue

Elena Gilbert, a young woman who's lost every family member in her life and has suffered more than anyone should have to in their entire life. Yet she takes it on the chin. Exposed to the harsh life on the streets, Juvie and abusive foster families she's the living proof of the saying 'life's a bitch until the day you die'.

Or so she thought.

Moving to the big city Elena continues her struggles in the life of someone with no money, support, education, family or friends. However, despite her struggles Elena is a good person who hasn't hardened from her trauma's and is too stubborn to let someone break her spirits.

This time determined to make a change in her life for the better she relies on the new friends she meets to share and learn from their perspectives on life. After years of developing and growing accustoms to violence, illegal activity and abandonment can she let people in enough to learn life can change for her?
