Chapter 5: Dark Skies
Everyone in the large room was silent, as they sat at the large crystal table. No had uttered a word since coming here and it made them easy. Only hearing the sound of the Grimm and the violent weather from outside to the heaving breathing of a heavier set man in a black officer uniform made the more unique Tyrian uncomfortable. But he just smiled away like the disturbed Faunas that he was.
The only two people who were showing their worried expression were the man in the black uniform and the green haired thief Emerald. However, only one of them had a reason to be worried and it got worse as the large doors to the room opened. Slowly walking through the doors was the pale goddess herself, Salem along with a seer Grimm.
"I see everyone is here," Salem said, as she made her way to the head of the table. "First things first. Watts, do you have a report on our friends Vacuo?"
"They are on board, but only if their terms are met," Watts answered, making Salem glare at the man for a second before he replied. "Don't worry, its nothing that I can't handle."
"What I like to hear. Now, to our new friend." Salem's, and the rest of the room's, attention fell on to the man wearing the uniform. "Major, what's the status on your mission."
The Major, or otherwise known as Major Victor Heine was not what many would consider an officer. Mainly due to him being a plump, pasty white man. His uniform coat was unbuttoned showing off his white dress shirt and black tie that was held together by an upside down by a golden triangle pin.
"V-very well, my Queen." The Major stuttered out of fear, as he tapped his foot lightly on the ground. "L-last I heard, my men, have s-successfully brought in new weapons from the outside world. A-as well, as secured key locations at your request."
"Good." Victor began to relax when he heard Salem said this. "However, we have a new problem. The weapon you promised, Major, is not finished. When will it be an operation?"
"W-w-well, my Queen, you see-" The Major was cut off as one of the seer's tentacles snapped forward and grabbed Victor's neck.
Victor's head slammed into the table, before being dragged closer to Salem by the seer's tendril.
Victor was pulling at the tendril, gasping for air. His eyes showed his fear as Salem stared at him with no expression.
"I didn't ask for an excuse, Major. I wanted an answer." Salem said, before commanding the seer to let go of the man's neck. "Now, when will the weapon be completed?"
"T-three w-weeks." The Major said as he coughed violently. "I-I just need a few more workers."
"You have two weeks." Salem then turned towards Watts. "See if you can get our friend here the things that he needs."
"I will try my best," Watts responded back.
"Don't try, Watts. Do." Salem then turned her attention towards the rest of the group." "For the rest of you, proceed with your current tasks. And try to disappoint me like our friend her or this will happen." Salem then snapped her fingers, making the seer drive one of its tendrils through the Major's left leg.
The Major screamed in pain, making everyone else, just stared in shock, except for Tyrian. The scorpion Faunas just wickedly smiled at the action. Salem, however, just ignored the man who was screaming and continue on.
"There is also a small job I want to be done. I think it is time for Atlas to have a little competition from the outside world." Salem began. "Cinder, see if you can get us some friends that can make that happen."
"No worries, I will be done." Cinder answered, earning a small smirk from the Grimm Queen.
"Good, then you are all dismissed. And can somebody get this pathetic excuse of a man out of my sight."
Uh, yeah, sorry for being so late on this but I am super busy with school and my two jobs at the moment. But hopefully, once spring and summer start rolling around I should be on a better schedule for typing. Also, news about the next AC crossover, I'm still waiting for more response for but a strange idea hit me.
AC/Avatar series, I don't know why, but let me know what you think about it. Its probably be LoK setting cause it'll be easier to do, but originally I was thinking the Last Airbender. Like I said give me your feedback and if you have any better ideas let me know by the review section or PM me.
Until then, I'm out and gonna be freezing my balls off in this frickin Wisconsin weather.
