Soooooo Its been 6 years since my last update *wince* A LOT has happened in Arrowverse and obviously this is AU. I just want to say thank you for everyone who has read my story and favorited and commented. I actually got a comment today and it inspired me to sit down and write this chapter. It literally took all day. I'm exhausted but so grateful. It was just what I needed.
Anyway hope ya'll enjoy and hope I can finish this up for ya without it taking 6 more years... also sorry for writing differences, I hope to go back and edit earlier chapters when I have time.
Oliver raced to the foundry, where Diggle was waiting for him.
"Did you find anything?" he asked rushing down the stairs.
"Kyle Jorgen, 27, studied at MIT, multiple active restraining orders, went to jail for domestic abuse a few years ago, got out on probation shortly after. No record of him since, it's like he was off the grid."
"There has to be something on him. Run that facial recognition software" Oliver stared pacing back and forth. How could she, of all people, not check into this guy before going on a date?
"I've been trying. It's not exactly easy, you can't just push a button and I don't exactly have her skill set" Diggle huffed; he was just as worried as Oliver. Felicity had become more than a teammate or a friend even. She was family.
"He has a bunker" Diggles eyes combed the information on the screen, scanning every word for understanding.
"He has a what?" Oliver quickly stopped pacing and crowded around the computer. He wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for, and his 5 years away didn't exactly help him understand technology.
"He has an underground bunker, looks like it belongs to his father. It's only 10 miles outside the city. I bet that's where he took her. Let's go" Diggle immediately turned around and grabbed his gun, making sure it was loaded before heading up the stairs. Oliver followed suit.
"In the movies, they don't let on to how bad the headache from that's stuff" She blinked her eyes rapidly, trying to see something in the darkness surrounding her. The light hanging above her somehow only illuminated a small circle around her and the chair she was zip tied to.
"That's because this isn't a movie" Kyle slowly walked into view. Standing just outside the little ring of light, he paced back and forth.
"Where is Hope? What have you done with her?" Frantically remembering how they got there.
"She was abandoned by you once before and she survived, I'm sure she's fine."
"Why are you doing this? What did I ever do to you?" She furrowed her brows, racking her brain for what could've prompted this.
"You don't remember cupcake?" The word echoed in her mind. Cupcake? Why did that sound so familiar?
"Kyle, I can't hangout tonight I have to study." She said into the phone. They had hung out all day, all week in fact. He really hadn't left her alone from the moment they started talking. At first it was endearing, she had never felt so wanted or loved before. As time went on it became almost obnoxious. He texted her the entire time she was in class and waited outside to walk to the next one. How he had time for his own classes and homework, she had no idea.
"C'mon cupcake, we can study together" he used the nickname he gave after a night of binge watching the new season of the office and eating a dozen cupcakes by herself.
"You always say that and then you rent a movie, and get mad if try to study while it's playing. Mid-terms are next week. Don't you need to study too? I haven't seen you pick up a book all month or go to class even" to say she was frustrated would be an understatement. She knew relationships took a lot of time and work but wasn't your partner supposed to be understanding and supportive of your goals? Her goals were to continue her 4.0 GPA, possibly make valedictorian though the thought if giving a speech made her tremble, and try to make the world a better place with her I.T. knowledge.
"So what you don't want to spend time with me anymore? I'm not enough for you?" he was starting to get angry.
"No-no that's not what I'm saying" Her hands fumbled with the keys as she tried to lock the door to the computer lab, where she worked part time. "I just need some time. We are moving so fast and I really need to study."
"Do you not love me anymore? Is there someone else?" The hair on the back of her neck stood up when his voice was no longer on the phone, but coming from behind her. She whipped around to see him standing there.
"This is what I'm talking about, you're always around. You know I like you, but this is getting a little out of hand. I-"
"No what's getting out of hand is that you refuse to spend time with me!" He was visibly angry and the few people around were starting to stare.
"Refuse to spend time with you? You haven't left my side since we started dating three months ago! I just need some space!" Felicity Smoak wasn't one to back down from a challenge. Suddenly she felt her body being pushed back, she threw her hand behind her to try and catch herself. Pain shot through her wrist when it made contact with the pavement. She stared at him menacingly.
"We are done Kyle!" Campus security arrived and pulled him away. Some girls that had been watching the commotion helped her up and drove her to the hospital.
"You kidnapped me, because you're still mad I wanted to study then hang out with you?" She was beyond confused, and how the heck did she forget the sprained wrist?
"You ruined my life Felicity Smoak. I failed out of all my classes, I was kicked out of MIT for supposed "assault on campus" and every relationship since you has with me as the bad guy, because of what you did!" He was standing over her with a finger pointed in her face.
Without thinking twice, she slipped the zip ties that bound her wrists just like Oliver had taught her. Grabbing his fore arm with one hand and his finger with the other, she bent his finger backwards and kicked him twice in the stomach and once where the sun down shine.
"Only weak men blame women for their problems, when it is really their own fault. " She released him and he crumpled on the ground holding himself.
An explosion happened somewhere above and Oliver and Diggle came rushing into view. They took turns trying to beat Kyle up some more and continually asking her if she was okay.
"I promise I'm fine, but I guess all those training sessions weren't a waste after all. Let get out of here, this place gives me the creeps. "
Oliver wrapped his arm around her shoulder "Let's go home"
