Background : Joel Kealen Fennell is a 14 year old boy who is half human, half demon. He didn't know who he's birth parents were, he was left at a orphanage just he was a baby. When he was five he was adopted by a young adult
with short-medium brown hair named Akane Fuji family and move to Ocean Town in Tokyo.
After a months getting' used to his new home, in Tokyo' he enjoy school and made some friends, but there was only one who he met when he moved to Ocean Town and gave him a tour around the town, it was his next door neighbor and friend, Saki Hyuuga. After that day they met each other, they became the best friends. The two both love wrestling and food TV
and Video Games. Joel helps around his mom's Tako Cafe' if she needed assistance.Saki's little sister, Minor likes him, sometimes Joel let her ride on his back playing pony ride, play games and reading a story to her when Saki was practicing for soft ball games, or when their parents are busy in the bakery. He was always happy to help. he comes around from time to time mostly after school with Saki to help her with homework. He even help around the Saki' family Panpaka Pan Bakery.
Becoming A Pretty Cure : One day, while Joel and Saki both was eating their own ice cream wafers, Mai showed up suddenly at the Sky Tree. The three felt as though they had met before what Flappy, Choppy, and Jim subbenly fell from the sky and confirmed their thoughts. But before they could go further, Minor showed up, so Saki and Joel had to leave. The two returned later to see Mai still there, and it was then that
the boy and two girls were shown how they met in the past before being attacked. Vowing to protect Flappy, Jim and Choppy, they became Cure Aces, Cure Bloom and Cure Egret, the new Pretty Cures.
Together with Cure Bloom and Cure Egret,
they can perform the Stream Splash. Three additional spirits from the Land of Fountains, Jim use the Splash Harley-Davidson Padlock and Moop and Foop use the Splash Commune to provide them a pair of Spiral Rings so they can perform a more powerful group attack,
the Spiral Heart Splash.In the final battle with his hellfire power with Cure Bloom, Cure Egret and new member of the team
Joel's Cousin Hikari Kujou aka Shiny Luminous the four have launched the final
finisher, the Deadman's Spiral Max Heart Splash Star.
Joel's Cousin Hikari : One day Hikari first appears beside a river wondering who she is. The Queen's voice tells her that her name is Hikari. Then she goes to Tako Cafe and meets Fujita Akane. Sometime later, when Joel, Saki and Mai came after school, Akane introduces Kujou Hikari as her niece. That may have been because of the mysterious power of the Queen. When the three meet each other, Joel feels some uncertain connections between them and
Hikari feels the same. When a Zakenna starts to attack her, Pollun runs towards her and she transforms Pollun into Shiny
Luminous. Elder and Wisdom recognize
Hikari as the Queen's life. A few months later Joel and Saki started dating. To no surprise to their parents or their friend Mai, Minor or rest the Cures but they we're happy for two. On night Later Joel was walking home from school, when a gang of three jumped him. He was shot two times in the chest and shot once in his right arm. He was able to grab one of there pistols and shoot all three of them down, after that he walked out of the alley
but didn't get far, he fail down on the pavement, bleeding out. A young lady found him passed out in pool of his own blood and unconscious. The lady pulled out her phone and dial 911, and soon enough ambulance came, get him and went back to the hospital. Akane, Saki, Hikari and Mai got the called from the hospital they came, Akane even brought his pet dog Chop with her. Joel was in surgery for 8 hours,
but the doctors get the bullets out of him and made a shocking discovery in Joel's blood, Later Joel was in the hospital room resting and recovering, while Akane, Saki,
Hikari and Mai where also in room right by his bedside, Chop was laying down at the foot of the bed. Joel finally opened his eyes, he seen
his mom Akane, Saki, Hikari and Mai in chairs and his dog Chop on the bed. They where happy to him awake Chop lick Joel's face with Joy.
. When the doctor came in room he had a clipboard in his hand. He told about them about the discovery in Joel's blood and how it save him. Joel's has spirits Demon blood . That shock him and the rest of them.
The Doctor explain how it happened.
In the beginning it was just demons and angels but some demons who were born
demonic wanted to be good. So after they renounced Satan, God decided to grant
them a second chance and turn them into
celestial spirit who do good deeds on earth. After the doctor explain that, he gave Joel a photo of his birth parents.
His mother had long black hair and brown eyes and his satan father had short cornrows and green eyes, they had both had same skin tone as Joel, and looked to be their 20s. Hikari had that same uncertain connections again as she look the picture of Joel's parents, it felt like she knew and seen them before.
The doctor also told Joel how his dad was a good man and help others, even the doctor told about the time he almost drove off a cliff and Joel's father save him. And how his mom was nurse at the hospital and help animals. Later on the two had a child, but one night both parents both died in a drunk driving car accident and baby which was Joel was still in the hospital on that same night.
So with no others relatives he gone to a nearby orphanage. Joel and the others was happy to hear that his parents was good people. After a few days and being medical cleared to leave the hospital,
they all their homes but, Saki wanted to
stay with Joel for the night, just to make to sure his alright she already ask if it's ok with her parents and they say it's ok plus Akane already agreed. Later that Akane decided to check up on her son, she soundly opened the door to his room, and her heart melted at the site. The two were sleeping Saki was laying her head down
on Joel's chest with one hand and a smile on her face. Joel had a protective arm over Saki's shoulder with his hand in her's. At the foot of the bed was Chop sleeping. Akane smile at two before quietly closing the door and heading back to her room. Soon
as the two lovers laugh a little. Saki kiss Joel on the lips and laid her head back down, before going back to sleep, Joel said "I love you, Saki. She smiled at him, "I love you too, Joel good night. And with that the two when back to sleep enjoying peaceful night.
A couple of months pass after that, the four begin to collect Heartiels. During the journey, they had to face off against new
villains, Circulas, Uraganos and Viblis, guardians of the representation of the life
of Evil King, Boy in the mansion, which has the look and character of a small child. Hikari and the boy have an encounter that leaves the two marked.
The four also find two new sources of power, Joel got Enchanted hellfire and
the girls got Sparkle Bracelets, and fight
the guardians and meet Pollun's little sister, Lulun, who later gives a new power
to Hikari, which turns out to be the Heartiel Brooch. The boy from the mansion and Hikari meet again when she went shopping at mall. Hikari begins to understand who that boy is and Baldez, the leader of the dark guardians, realize
that the balance between light and darkness is becoming weaker.
When the four Cures collect 11 to 12 Heartiels, Hikari suddenly disappears.
She awakes in the Dotsuku Zone, with
boy from the mansion. They start a ritual
and Baldez uses it to resurrect the Evil King. But Joel and the girls refuse to allow
Hikari to resurrect herself as the Queen of Light and continue to fight alone. Hikari watches their fight and decides to start the resurrection by herself.
Hikari is taken to the Land of Fountains
in the end, and the Queen reawakens and resembles her transformed form. Later, she grants rest of the team the final finisher : Extreme Deadman's Stream Max Splash.
Since she is combined into the Queen again, Joel, Saki and Mai though that they
can never see her again, so with the time they had left they gave her one last group hug and Joel told her to say hello from him to his parents she nodded and said she'll do it when she meets them. But soon after
their graduation ceremony, they went to Joel mom's Cafe. Hikari some how was
able to separate from the Queen. The three ran to her and hug her like shes a friend they ain't seen in years. Not only
that, she brought Hikari along too. Later on Hikari told them how she met Joel's parents and hers parents in heaven and they told her how proud of they of her and him being Precure and fighting good and defending others. Plus the shocking part was Hikari and Joel our related she is a human-demon too, her dad is Joel's father's brother. Hikari pull out a picture and show it to Joel, it showed his parents and Hikari's parents at the hospital, her mom holding Hikari as a newborn her dad looking her with smile and tears of Joy, with Joel's mom and dad also had smiles. Hikari also
told they where also proud him for finding the love of his life, Saki, his making friends. Later Joel and the girls would meet become friends with others Precures and go on awesome adventures.
