Part III: Hard To Leave And Forget..
Last Time:
"I've destroyed Tai! I've ruined him!" Sora cried in anguish as Matt comforted her. Suddenly, a voice spoke.
So are you happy fools, you finally got your wish..you can live happily without courage." The voice laughed wickedly.
"Who are you?!" T.K asked angrily.
"Soon, the power of your leader will be all mine. And he will die!" The voice turned out to be...Daemon.
"So you're the one who were watching us!" Cody gasped in shock.
"I see you have found out, how clever. But soon, the courage shall fall!" Daemon said.
Present;
Flashback: Christmas Day..
"Hi Sora, are you free today?" Tai asked.
"Oh, I'm asking Matt if he's free today." Sora admitted to her best friend.
"Oh.." Tai said in defeat.
"Is it fine for you?" Sora asked worriedly.
"Yeah, you can go now, Matt is waiting for you." Tai replied as he gave Sora a slight push.
"Can you leave the box of cookies?" Agumon asked cheerfully.
"Don't worry, I'll make you another batch." Sora promised to Tai and Agumon. She went inside the tent..
"I'll be waiting." Tai mumbled.
Flashback End..
The group went to the digital world to confront their old enemy, Daemon. They thought that he was dead, but he wasn't. Sora hoped that Tai will be okay.
In the Digital World...
"Looks like they're here. It's time to reveal my secret weapon." Daemon said.
"So, who I'm gonna face?."
"The digidestined fools of course! We must destroy them, courage." Daemon sighed as he prepare himself.
"Let the fun begin."
Back with the group..
"Here we are." Kari said nervously.
"This is Myostimon's old castle." Daisuke answered as he stare at the castle.
"Follow me.." A voice spoke.
"Who's there?" Izzy shouted.
"Just follow me and you will be fine." The voice continued.
"Are you sure? This must be a trap." Matt replied as he observed the place.
"We must save Tai..I don't want him to die here." Sora said sadly.
"Sora's right Matt. Tai is our friend and leader. I owe him a respect because he sacrified himself to save us." Joe agreed
The digidestineds followed the instructions that the unknown person had said. Ken had a bad feeling about it.
When the digidestineds arrived at the center of Myostimon's old castle, the voice spoke once again.
"Farewell." The voice spoke coldly.
"Digidestineds, welcome." Daemon smirked as he appeared in the throne.
"Daemon! Settle to our bussiness! Give Tai back!" Matt said angrily.
"Daemon what have you done to Tai?!" Agumon growled as he glared at Daemon
"What do you mean Agumon? What are you doing here?" A voice spoke in the shadows.
It turned out to be Tai, who was revealing himself in the shadows. The digidestineds are skeptical.
"Tai is that you?" Sora asked tearfully.
Suddenly, Tai's face darkened.
"What are you all doing here? What do you want from me?" Tai said coldly as his face darkened.
The digidestineds began to shiver.
"Tai, we will bring you back home." Joe said as Sora, Kari, Daisuke Matt began to grow worried.
Suddenly, Tai smirked.
"Oh you mean you want me to comeback? You traitors! I won't forgive you for hurting and leaving me behind!" Tai said with a dead tone in his voice.
"What?!" Everyone gasped.
"Daemon, finish them. Don't let them escape alive.." Tai said coldly.
"No! Tai this isn't you!" Sora cried.
"What do you want from me Sora? I'm not the Tai Yagami you used to know. This is my true nature and personality when I met you all. I kept it and tried to be happy for all of you.
I tried to adjust your mistakes, I tried my best to hold my emotions," Tai replied. His face darkened and tears began to fell in his eyes.
"What?!" The digidestineds gasped again as Sora continued to cry.
"Tai was swallowed by darkness Sora, he can't hold his emotions and he wished to end his pain by doing this." Joe explained sadly as Matt comforted Sora.
"Tai, I'm really sorry..this is my fault." Sora apologized tearfully.
"I'm lost without you." Tai mumbled quietly as his tears flow to his eyes.
"Daemon, finish them. I don't want to see them again.."
"No! Tai this isn't you!." Izzy shouted in anguish as Kari and Sora sobbed.
Tai's aura was dark. There was no sparkle of light or any sort of light, his aura was dark and empty.
"There's no light, Darkness.." Ken and Kari said fearfully.
"Kari, Ken what's wrong?" Daisuke asked as he stare at Kari and Ken.
"Darkness." Kari and Ken answered.
Daisuke gasped when he heard what his two friends told him. He was shocked.
"Tai this isn't you! Pls. Comeback!." Sora pleaded as she sobbed loudly.
"Sora, you know what...I'm broken because you, I'm lost without you." Tai said darkly as everyone heard what he said.
"Wh..What?!." Everyone gasped.
"No way..Tai, was really swallowed by darkness and pain inside of him." Izzy said sadly as he stare at Tai.
"See digidestineds, you see what have you done to your leader? This is your wish right? So, your wish has been granted. You don't need him now." Daemon said as he carresesed Tai's cheek.
The others was terrified on what Daemon did to Tai.
"So, child of courage..reveal your wish to everyone." Daemon smirked.
"My wish?..my wish is to end them, finish them.." Tai revealed emotionlessly as he stare at the digidestineds with his dead eyes.
"Then that settles it, I'm gonna end this game shall I?" Daemon asked Tai.
Tai nodded.
"Farewell digidestineds, you will soon go to the after life." Daemon smirked.
"Noo!" Sora shouted in anguish.
The shout and cry was heard in the whole digital world. The crest of courage that Daisuke was holding was shining brightly.
Daisuke can feel the power inside the crest of courage.
Suddenly, they saw a transparent image that came from Tai's crest of courage.
They will see what happened the day where Tai and Sora's anniversary was supposed to be celebrated.
Flashback:
Do you want to end your pain?" The voice spoke sadly as Tai stare at the sorroundings.
Tai can't answer his questions.
"I...want..to..end..my..pain..and leave my friends..behind...I..don't..deserve..friends like them." Tai answered as his tears fell in his eyes
"Very well," The voice replied.
Tai was engulfed by light..
After this phenomenon..Everything had changed eversince.
Flashback End:
"So that's what you did! You took Tai's kind and caring personality. You monster!" Mimi said angrily.
"That pesky crest! How dare that thing showed the truth infront of them." Daemon thought angrily.
"You will pay for what you did to Tai!"
Matt said angrily as held his digivice.
"Let's battle fools! You will pay for intefering in my plans and I'll destroy that pesky crests of yours. The child of courage will meet his fate." Daemon said angrily as he prepared himself.
"Game on!" Matt challenged.
Daemon's POV:
Yagami must be sleeping for a long time.
Poor Yagami, playing role as a hero, so desperate to keep his friends out of danger, so happy but inside, pain and sadness. Why did this fool protected his friends so much. The others are just pesky weaklings who always get in my way.
The teen behind me was not their leader, but this is his alter ego. His second personality.
The real one was inside of a crystal formation. Rolling in a deep sleep. Yagami also have an alter ego. Thanks to him, I can now proceed on my next step to rule the digital world.
Yagami's alter ego will help me to destroy the remaining digidestineds so I can rule the digital world. They will pay for what they did to me the last time we battled. It took me years to revive my own body, it also took me years to find their leader. The chosen ones must fall!"
End Of POV:
"Veemon digivolve!...Ulforce Veedramon!"
"Patamon digivolve!...Angemon!"
"Gatomon digivolve!...Angewomon!"
"Armadillomon digivolve!...Ankylamon!"
"Wormmon digivolve!...Stingmon!"
"Hawkmon digivolve!...Aquilamon!"
"Gabumon digivolve!...Garurumon!"
"Biyomon digivolve!...Birdramon!"
"Gomamon digivolve!...Vikemon!"
"Palmon digivolve!...Rosemon!"
"Tentomon digivolve!...Kabuterimon!"
"Using that weak forms can't defeat me. I'm far stronger than you cannot defeat me!
Thanks to Yagami, I can now proceed to the next step so I can destroy you!" Daemon said wickedly.
"Guys, pls. leave now! you will die! I don't want all of you to die because of me!."
"That voice! It can't be?!" Daisuke said as he fell into his knees. The group halted when this happened.
"Daisuke what's wrong?!" Kari asked worriedly as she helped Daisuke.
"That voice...It can't be...It's..Tai's voice..
I'm not dreaming..It's Tai's voice. I can hear his voice. He's pleading us to leave him or else we will die." Daisuke said in a horror tone.
"You can hear Tai's voice?!" Everyone gasped.
The brunette nodded.
The group was left speechless.
"That fool! He won't stop until he get what he wants!" Daemon thought.
"Evil Inferno!"
"Guys, watch out!" Cody shouted.
The digidestineds are knocked out.
"Digidestineds, you must fall! You will pay for what you did to me!" Daemon said angrily as the digidestineds began to lose hope.
"No...This is the end.." the digidestineds mumbled as they struggled to stand up.
Suddenly...
The castle was engulfed with light. The sun began to rise when the storm was out. The light blinded everyone.
Daemon knew this light. This light belonged to the fallen leader, Tai. He was growing frustated. He was angry because of this.
Tai's alter ego disappeared.
When the light died...
"What happened?" Joe asked weakly.
"Agumon digivolve!" A voice said weakly.
"Tai is that you?" Agumon asked mentally as he stared at Daemon.
"Yes buddy. It's me..you have to digivolve so you can help the others." Tai said weakly as he disappeared.
"Agumon digivolve!...Wargreymon!"
"Huh? Agumon how did you evolve?" Everyone asked Agumon skeptical.
"Tai made me digivolve..he's here somewhere. The Tai you saw earlier was his alter ego. The alter ego disappeared.
"Tai is somewhere in this castle, he must be nearby." Wargreymon answered.
"I know..Kabuterimon! Stingmon! Blast that wall!" Izzy and Ken shouted.
Kabuterimon and Stingmon blasted the wall behind Daemon.
Daemon didn't expect this, instead he growled in anger. The digidestineds of Kindness and Knowledge found out where Tai was hidden.
The other digidestineds are skeptical on what Izzy and Ken did earlier.
"Ken, Izzy why did you do that?" Mimi can't help but asked the 2 chosen ones.
The 2 didn't answer, but instead they just stared at the wall.
When the sun had rised...
They saw a crystal formation...
And inside of this crystal...
Was their leader and friend...
Who was still in comatose...
The symbol of courage was reflected...
The digidestineds stared at the crystal formation with disbelief and shock.
"This can't be...is that.." Ken gasped.
"Tai!" Everyone gasped in shock.
"You monster! You will pay!" Matt said angrily as he ordered Garurumon to attack Daemon.
The crest of courage began to glow in Daisuke's hand. The other crests began to glow too. Daemon was horrified.
"We still have Hope everyone." T.K said as his crest of hope began to glow.
"Our Friendship." Matt replied as his crest of friendship glow.
"Reliabilty" Joe answered as his crest of reliablity glow.
"Sincerity here!" Mimi shouted as her crest of sincerity began to glow.
"Light is the path!" Kari yelled as her crest of light brightened.
"Knowledge!" Izzy said as his crest of knowledge glow.
"Kindness!" Ken replied as her crest of kindness glow.
"The true power of Love!" Sora joined the group as her crest of love began to glow.
"When the virtues are combined, A new Miracle will occur!" Daisuke shouted as his new crest of miracles and Tai's crest of courage began to glow brightly.
Daemon began to disappear into particles of data. He was terrified.
"No! I can't be defeated! No, you digidestineds will fall!" Daemon shouted in anguish as he explode into particles of data. He was defeated by the digidestineds once again.
"We did it!" Mimi cheered happily.
"No Mimi, we're not done yet. We still have one thing to do." Izzy said.
"We have to free Tai in that crystal formation or else he will be stuck inside forever." Joe explained to Mimi.
The digimons began to destroy the crystal to free their friend. But no budge. It was still rock solid.
"Tai! Pls.!" Sora shouted in anguish as she hugged the crystal tightly. The crest of courage and love began to glow. The 2 crests began to melt the crystal formation to free Tai.
The crystal had melt.
"Tai are you okay? Speak to me?! Pls.!"
Sora sobbed loudly.
"S..So..ra?" Tai asked weakly.
"Tai! You're okay. I'm really sorry for what I did to you. I broke your promise, I yellled at you in no reason. Will you forgive me and spend your time with me together?" Sora said tearfully.
"Of course I forgive..you Sora. I want to tell that I want to spend time with you a bit longer. Together.." Tai said weakly.
The digidestineds watched as Tai and Sora hugged together. Kari, Mimi, Yolei,
cried in joy, Matt, Izzy and the other boys just stared at them with a smile.
"Happy Valentines day everyone!" Kari shouted happily as the digidestineds celebrated.
The digidestineds began to wonder where Tai and Sora are. The group went to the park.
"Umm..Happy Valentines Day Sora.." Tai said as he brought a bouquet of fresh flowers and a small box with a diamond necklace and ring inside. This is his gift for Sora since she wanted this gift since her 12th birthday.
"Thank You Tai.." Sora said happily.
"Umm..Sora, Here." Tai said as he showed the bouquet of flowers to Sora.
The digidestineds watched the duo.
"Thanks Tai..I have for you too." Sora replied happily as she gave Tai a box of chocolate
"Sora..I want to say.." Tai said nervously.
"What is it Tai?" Sora asked.
"I...want to say..." Tai was blushing red..
"What Tai?" Sora asked.
"Sora Takenouchi, you made me so happy everyday and eversince, when we're not together, I miss you so much it feels like a part of me is missing, Sora, I love you!" Tai proposed as he took out a small box with a ring and necklace inside.
"Oh my!" Sora covered her mouth.
The digidestineds began to gasp in shock
The girls began to squeal in happiness. The boys just stared at them with a smile on their faces.
"Thank You...Tai.." Sora said as she blushed. She was really happy.
"You're welcome Sora." Tai smiled as he also blushed in embarassment.
"Tai..I'm glad you're back.." Sora said.
"Me too Sora, I'm glad we're friends again. Thank You for saving me." Tai said happily.
The two walked together as the sun set.
The digidestineds are glad that their friendship was restored once again.
"Sora, I Love You." Tai admitted.
"I Love You Too Tai, I'll never leave you alone. Best childhood friends forever." Sora answered as she rested her head in Tai's shoulder.
