"Grima has gone too far this time, it seems I must take extra precautions this time around." A disembodied feminine sighed as a figure came into existence a young man of moderate build with medium length spiked greyed hair with a few small streaks of brown on the right side that seemed to be contrast his slightly tanned skin "Kaye, I wish I could have had the chance to better train you with your abilities but sadly it is time for you to go out and help stop Grima from once more destroying the world." The voice spoke once more as the now named Kaye eyes faintly cracked open revealing a pair of golden yellow eyes before he was enveloped In a large bright flash.

"Milord I still don't see why you have gone out of your way helping Robin and now this man." Groaned Frederick as he brought his hand to his forehead prompting Chrom to chuckle whilst LIssa and Robin tended to their patient next to the campfire. Unconscious on the ground was Kaye who seemed to be fighting a fever as Robin replaced the rag on Kaye's head "So um he seems to be doing better but we won't know till later." LIssa yawned as Chrom extended some smoked meat to her "You should at least eat something before you turn in tonight." He remarked before LIssa groaned taking the meat stick hesitantly before eating it, gagging the whole time "This Tastes disgusting." She gagged as Robin and Chrom both chuckled having already eaten earlier after they had hauled their unconscious compatriot when the later looked over to the former "You should turn in as well, I'm sure our little patient will be fine for a couple hours." He remarked receiving a nod in response from the amnesiac as he pulled his hood over his head laying down on his back. Sighing once more, Chrom turned to Frederick "I'll be getting some sleep now as well, don't keep watch for too long Frederick." Chrom called to the armored man who only gave a curt nod in response as Chrom placed the falchion on the ground next to him while using his cape as a makeshift blanket closing his eyes letting the embrace of sleep take over.

Searing pain was all I felt when I finally regained consciousness, I groaned as I pushed myself up feeling whatever cloth that was on my head fall off briskly catching it with my hand looking around to see I was laying down at a campfire 'Where was I before this?' I mentally groaned remembering the voice that had spoken to me made all the pain in my body seemed to numb enough that I was able to push myself into a seated position as the sound of shuffling came from my right prompting me to glance over towards the origin of the sound to see a young man curled up in a black overcoat with purple and gold accents and further past him was another taller man wearing a full suit of armor leaned against a tree. Wincing as a cold chill went down my spine forcing me to jump to my feet and bolt into the tree line stumbling as the ground shook and I could barely make out two voices as I exited the trees once more

"Lissa!" someone yelled as one of the creature approached a girl who was slowly backing into a tree groaning once more I kicked up my pace before skidding in front of the girl bracing my gauntlet to deflect the Risen's blade turning my head glancing behind me

"Get moving I can't hold it much longer." I called seeing her nod as she ducked under my arm while I jerked my arm in the opposite direction watching its blade sink into the tree to my right before spinning around in the other direction slamming my gauntlet against its head causing its head to cave in and started disintegrating allowing me a moment of respite as the sound of metal on metal reached my ear prompting me to spin around and see a masked person parrying another Risen's blade from the girl again. Once more a tingle ran down my spine as I jerked my arms up as the flat of the blade from one of the other Risen slammed into me launching me towards the blue haired man skidding to a stop at his feet with a groan I started to push myself up when he grabbed onto my arm pulling me up faster

"Need help friend?" he smirked as I sighed "I was gonna say that." I remarked pulling my arms up into a fighting stance as the first wave of creatures approached and the blue haired man sprang forward decapitating the first enemy while I ducked under a swing from the Risen in front of me as I surged forward slamming my Gauntlet against the Risen's neck causing a sickening snap to be heard just before it began to evaporate into black flakes giving it the smallest glance over as someone yelled from the tree line "Milord! MIlady! Are you hurt?" Followed by a frantic response by the girl from before "Frederick! Robin!" Ducking under another swing only to get hit with a back hand forcing me to skid back next to the Blue haired man from before and the white haired teen in the cloak as well who finally spoke up "Are such horrific creatures commonplace in these lands?" He asked as I spat a small amount of blood from my mouth and the Blue haired man retorted parrying a slash from another Risen "They're not from Ylisse, I promise you that." Quickly followed by the tall armored man who sat atop his horse " No one is injured, then? Thank the gods…" he stated prompting the girl to speak up once more " Thank our unconscious friend from earlier as well as the masked man from before they're the ones who saved me!" As she was about to continue I spotted the masked person out of the corner of my eye moving back into the tree line looking between where the person and the others next to me I finally spoke up "I saw the masked person fighting those creatures back over there,I'm gonna go help them out." I stated as the blue haired man exchanged a look with the white haired man wearing a cloak before they both nodded " Alright we'll handle the ones out here." He said just before I began my sprint into the tree line after the person.

As I cut down another Risen only one thought kept crossing my mind 'Who was that man that protected Auntie Lissa, there was never any mention of him in the stories father had told me as a kid.' Releasing a sigh I took a look around the small clearing I had managed to corner the straggler when the sound of a tree branch snapping made me jerk around swinging my Falchion at the source of the noise feeling the color drain from my features my sword simply scrapped to a halt across his Gauntlet and for the briefest moment I could see a spark of realization form in his eyes "Calm down Princess, I'm not here to fight," he spoke as I slowly let the Falchion drift harmlessly to my side "Who are you?" I asked in an attempt to regain my composure " My name, well I guess my given name is Kaye." Kaye stated seeming unsure of what he had said it was almost like he didn't even know himself "Why are you here then Kaye?" I retorted as he closed his eyes "Grima." It only took a moment for me to registered what he had said before I had swung the Falchion down on him again hard only for it to be stopped by his Gauntlet once more 'That's impossible' I thought to myself drawing back once more as I entered into a thrusting stance surging forward once more hesitating only slightly when his Gauntlet flashed briefly and a petal of light formed just in front of his Gauntlet and just when my sword made contact with the petal of light it was sent skyward sinking into the ground behind me knocking me down in the process "Just stop I'm not your enemy, you really need to take a moment and listen!" The way he acted was confusing me now, if he was truly a servant to Grima why had he helped protect Lissa why wasn't he finished me off.

Sighing Kaye walked over to me and extended his hand to me "Look if you had just let me finish what I was saying, Naga sent me to help you, Lucina." He spoke and I could see no clear sign of him lying with a sigh I took his hand surprised by how gently his grip was as he pulled me up releasing my hand in the process moving past me and picked up the Falchion looking at it as if he was seeing someone after so long flipping it around in his hand grabbing it by the blade with his Gauntleted hand "Take good care of this." He said holding it handle first towards me prompting me to take it before hesitantly sheathing it at my side once more releasing a sigh "Don't call me by my name." I said as he nodded turning away from me "We should head back now it looks like you took care of most of the Risen here." He remarked as he left me in the clearing.

As we made our way back to the others I took a glance back at Lucina followed behind me in silence before I looked down at the gauntlet on my left arm remembering back to what had happened when Lucina attacked me earlier "What was that." I muttered to myself as we made it out of the trees. I spotted the group just past one of the abandoned forts taking the moment I jogged over "Back." I stated as the blue haired man turned to me "Thanks for the assist and protecting my sister,my name is Chrom. I don't believe we've heard your names." He said glancing between me and Lucina who was standing a little farther away from me . "My name is Kaye, I assume you all took care of me while I was unconscious." I stated glancing at the others as Chrom turned his focus fully onto Lucina as she spoke "You may call me Marth." prompting Chrom brought his hand to his chin in thought " Marth? After the heroic king of old? You certainly fight like a hero. Where did you learn your way with a sword?" he asked as I felt a pulsing pain splitting through my head forcing me to tune out what was going on around me as Information flowed into my head, Names belonging to those that I would encounter and of those who would die. This feeling felt similar to what I felt while fighting Lucina but somewhat stronger, slowly the feeling died down allowing me to release a sigh of relief as my surroundings once more became clear. Standing in front of me was Chrom, Frederick, Lissa, Sully, Virion, and Robin. All raking their heads over what Lucina had said before Frederick spoke up "It appears his skills lie elsewhere. I wager we'll hear his name again …. But for now I'm more concerned about the capital. We should make haste." as he finished we all returned to the campsite from before retrieving everything that we had left behind before continuing on down the dirt road, as we walked I couldn't help but feel that someone was staring at me taking a moment to look back behind me I wasn't surprised to see that it was Robin I released a sigh slowing my pace to match his "Is there something you want?" I asked as he tensed slightly "Not really, I was just wondering if you knew me? Considering you were unconscious a short distance away from me when Chrom found us." He stated with a hopeful look in his eye "No unfortunately I don't." I responded as he slumped forward slightly. Placing my hand on his shoulder getting him to look back at me. "Doesn't mean I don't want to meet the new and improved you."I smirked as a smile crept across his face "Right."
