As the oldest of Kronos's children, Hestia was technically his rightful heir. Unfortunately Hestia was also loyal to her sibling, and unfailingly kind, which made her submit to all their whims. Hestia was the only goddess or god who had no children, demigod or otherwise, besides Hera. Even Artemis had a child before she made her oaths. Contrary to popular belief, Hestia never made the maiden oaths, because while she refused to partner up with someone she didn't love, she did want children and a family. Unfortunately, her siblings were overbearing, arrogant, and ignorant, and after two thousand years she'd had enough of their attitude's. As the Oldest and the Goddess of Hearth and Home, she had full control over the power of Olympus. Not to say that her siblings weren't powerful, but she was born first, and was given the majority of Kronos's power after his death at the hands of Perseus Jackson. Once her father was dead, she waited a month with hope that her siblings would change, but seeing them stagnant caused her physical pain, and so she made a decision. She decided she wanted to live life as a mortal, and with the help of Hecate and the remnants of Kronos's power, she was reborn as a witch in a time which she would be most happy in.
