When Kai woke up the next morning, she found Ace who was wearing a shirt for once and was sitting in a chair next to her and talking with the redhead woman she saw yesterday Amelia Bones who was sitting right across from Ace. Kai lifted herself upwards, so she was sitting straight on the bed, and then she waited for either one of them to notices. She notices a newspaper and grabbed it to read it, she notices that picture moves and that it was from 1993. On the front page was a man a wizard, who escapes from a prison called Azkaban.
Sirius Orion Black was the man's name, but what caught Kai's eye was his eyes. The paper said that Black was the causes of the death of muggles, which maybe people with no magic and the reason why Kai's biological parents were murdered, but Kai doesn't believe any of it as his eyes weren't the eyes of a killer; a crazy person yes but not a killer. She knew the eyes of killers; it was on most pirates like Blackbeard who enjoyed killing friend or foe alike. But this man, it unlikely that this man had ever murdered anyone. She looks up at Amelia, who notices that she was holding
"That's from last year Mrs. Portgaz. The prisoner Sirius escaped, and we still can't- "Amelia was interrupted
'I don't think he did, his eyes are not the eyes of a killer. I've known many killers and some of them have tried to hide who they are, but I could always see them for who they were just by looking into their eyes. This man Sirius Orion Black is not and never has been a killer. Did he even have a trial?" Kai said/ask Amelia who looked shocked
Ace on the other hand just smiled at his beautiful wife, Kai always could see who people no matter if they were pirates, civilians, or marines. In their world, where pirates exist; Kai could just tell some pirates were cold-blooded killers like Blackbeard, but she could also tell that others like him and Luffy were just living their lives and only kill if needed just by looking into their eyes. She even looks at their wanted posters and just knew who they were without even meeting them in person. That was one of the reasons why he loves her among other things. So, if Kai says that Sirius Black didn't do what this paper says then he will choose to believe her over some paper.
How?'' Amelia asked, shaken at the thought of an innocent man in Azkaban for twelve years
''Kai just knows who guilty and who's innocent; it one of the many things I love about her'' Ace said with a grin, which also causes Kai to roll her eyes
''I will check on it; now if you up to it I would like to talk about your schooling and where you will be living?'' Amelia said/asked
''I'm not staying here, and neither is Ace'' Kai said firmly and she means it as theirs no way she or Ace are staying at the castle not with that old fool nearby
"That's would be tough as your name had been elected as a champion in the Triwizard Tournament. The Triwizard Tournament is a magical contest held between the three largest wizarding schools of Europe, which are Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Durmstrang Institute, and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, each school being represented by one Champion. Selected Champions compete in three tasks, traditionally judged by the Headmasters or Headmistresses of the competing schools and designed to test magical ability, intelligence, and courage. "WHAT ISN'T THERE A WAY OUT OF IT. SHE'S PREGNANT. I- "Ace was yelling until Amelia hold up a hand
"But you weren't here for this and that your name is now Portgaz D. Kai, I'm betting on that you're not legally binding to the contest's contract. Yesterday, when I met you and heard what you said; I went to Gringotts our bank to find out if your name changes were legal in our books. I found out that it was with the added name of your birth name, Mrs. Kai Newgate-Potter-Portgaz. When I heard this, I went to find the rulebook.
Eventually, I found it and now in my hands is the rulebook for all kinds of contests we have. In section for the Triwizard Tournament, it says that the champions who are pregnant aren't eligible to compete but can announce a replacement champion. But if a champion was entered with the wrong legal name, then the chosen champion's signature and their magic aren't binding to the contest's contract, but the ones who tried to enter you will be. This means you can either choose a replacement or not and simply say you're not legally binding to the contest's contract. I will help you tell all this to Dumbledore and the others when you decide" Amelia explained to both Kai and Ace
"I'm not going to do it and I'm not putting anyone in my place," Kai said without hesitation
"Alright, now let's talk about you're schooling. Technically, you're a legally of age in our world, meaning you can decide for yourself. So, if you want to be homeschooled and by people who you can trust, you can. You can also take up your ladyship of the Potter family and if you want you can be the lady of the Potter family and Lady Portgaz if you decide to make Portgaz a wizarding name." Amelia said
"Let's do that and lets us get out of here now," Kai said to her, getting up from the bed
Amelia nodded and lead them to the Great Hall, where they were greeted by the students and adults sitting at tables. Kai saw Dumbledore looked at her and stood up.
"Ah, Miss. Potter. It's good that you're up, now we can start on with your sorting, then we can go to Diagon Alley with your key that's in my possession. Afterward, we can talk about the Triwizard- "Dumbledore was interrupted, and Kai can see many glares aimed at her. Kai turned to Amelia
"Key? To what?" Kai asks Amelia who glared at Dumbledore, before turning to her
"The key to your family's vaults. Why Dumbledore has your key is a mystery to me as it's illegal to have the key or any key to an ancient and noble house's vaults. You better have a very good reason Albus Dumbledore. Now, we will talk in your office. Mr. and Mrs. Portgaz please follow us." Amelia said as she waited for Dumbledore who looked like he didn't want to do what Amelia said, but he walks toward them anyway.
"POTTER, HOW DID YOU DO IT? YOU WANT GLORY THAT MUCH. WHEN WE GET MARRIED- "A red-haired boy who looks like fourteen yelled, before being interrupted
"YOU GET MARRIED TO KAI AS IF. IF SHE WASN'T MARRIED TO ME, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE-WHAT?" Ace was yelling back and raised his fist as if to hit or to summon fire of his lost devil fruit before fire did come out and was aiming for the boy. Luckily, it's missed the boy
"It means you're devil fruit powers were changes to be like my power of ice," Kai whispers to Ace
"Mr. Portgaz, please don't try to harm the students. Mr. Weasley, why do you think you're getting married to Mrs. Portgaz?" Amelia said to Ace, before asking the red-haired boy. Kai notices Dumbledore look pale
"Amelia let's go to my office. Miss. Potter- "Dumbledore started
"Mr. and Mrs. Portgaz are coming with us. Headmistress Maxime and Headmaster Karkaroff please come with us. I already contacted Barty, Ludo, and Cornelius; they will be waiting near your office Dumbledore." Amelia as she followed Dumbledore out the great hall.
When they were all in Dumbledore office, Ace and Kai in chairs that were close to each other. Kai was eyeing everyone included those who were sharing at her.
"Dumbledore, first give me the Potter key and don't try-thank you," Amelia said as Dumbledore gave her the key, which Kai can see in great pain. "Now in my hands, is the rulebook for all contests that we have, and I read- "Amelia was starting to say until she was interrupted
"Amelia, Miss. Potter has to compete unless- "
"That's where you're wrong Dumbledore and it's Portgaz, she's married Dumbledore. Her name changes are legal, even in our records Albus Dumbledore." Amelia said to Dumbledore with narrowed eyes
"What? Married already, isn't she fourteen?" one of the other men in the room asks
"No, she's not Cornelius. She's married to the man right beside her, Portgaz D. Ace. So, her name would be Portgaz D. Kai formally Potter-Newgate." She said to the man who asks the question
"She's seventeen-year-old and pregnant, now that would- "
Kai is amused, yet again Amelia was interrupted as the tall woman started yelling at Dumbledore for allowing a pregnant woman to enter the tournament. Kai finally had enough and frozen parts of the room, making everyone look at her.
"Let Amelia speak, I just want to leave," Kai said or rather demanded
"My girl- "Dumbledore started until he started getting cold as the room was getting cold
"ALBUS DUMBLEDORE RESPECT HER WISHES AND CALL HER BY HER MARRIED NAME AND NOTHING ELSE UNLESS ALLOWED. Amelia yelled at Dumbledore, before explaining the rules and Kai's deciding
Kai notices Dumbledore had become paler after Amelia explained the rules, he knows who place her name in the tournament.
"But she had to compete, it would be all over the- "the man besides Cornelius Fudge said
"Lugo Bagman, she's a very pregnant human being. Not a toy for the media or for you to use. She- "
"I'm sure that her name in Gringotts- "Dumbledore was interrupted by Amelia, who becoming more and more irritated by Dumbledore
"Even in Gringotts, her name was Newgate Kai and then Portgaz D. Kai; so yes, it was the wrong name. She's seventeen and by our laws, she's legally an adult and so can make her own decides for herself and her family. She decided to be homeschooled and I will help her Dumbledore. If I find that you still have belongings of the Potters in your possession, I will personally come and arrest you for stealing and arrest anyone that you may have given things to or helped you. Have a good day." Amelia said as she turned around and walked out the door.
Kai and Ace stood up from the chairs and followed Amelia out of the office, they kept on following her. They stopped when she did next to the doors to the Great Hall. Amelia turned to them
"Mrs. Portgaz, we'll have to go to Diagon Alley and Gringotts as I have a feeling that I will be making several arrests. First, please wait here." Amelia said as she walks into the Great Hall.
Kai looked at Ace who has a smirk on his face, she knows he has it on because of what happened in Dumbledore's office. Kai pursed her lips at him, which he notices.
"What?" he asks, innocently
"You can at least act like you're not enjoying this" Kai tells him
"What fun would that be?" Ace said, grinning at her and she just shook her head
Amelia with Minerva McGonagall came out just before Kai had asked that question, but the two kept quiet as they watch the scene play out. They do act much like James and Lily and it hurts.
"Mrs. Portgaz, Mr. Portgaz. Minerva is going to allow us to use her office and floo to Diagon Alley. So, follow us please" Amelia said to them as she walks with Minerva
"What's floo?" Ace asks
"You'll see," Amelia said with a smirk, which only Kai notices
Kai wondered what life will be like for both her and Ace in this world. She also wondered if she will see Silk or any of her friends again. She hopes Silk is okay back in their world, just like she hopes that their other friends and Luffy are okay. She also hopes Tsuyu doesn't destroy many islands looking for her. But she's probably will as she once tried to kill Ace for getting her pregnant.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in different parts of England, four teenagers and one twenty-year-old was looking around the strange places they were in. A blond-haired sixteen-year-old was looking around until she sees a black dog staring at her in shock. Two other girls appeared next to each other and wondering where they are and if it had anything to do with Kai. The twenty-year-old was looking around and knew that this was the world, her mother was from and she was may have been teleported back to.
