Chapter 24

Eliza POV

The next morning when I woke up, I was really sore. Clay had told me to take a week off and rest. He wanted me to see a doctor as well. He wanted me to get x-rays done and make sure that nothing was broken. Tara said that she was going to get me an appointment today and she'd let me know the time. After I took a shower, I checked my phone for any messages from her. I had one. She said that I had an appointment at one.

Once I was dressed, I made my way downstairs to find my mom sitting in the kitchen. "Ma, what are you doing here?" I asked as I walked over to my cabinet to grab a coffee cup and pour myself a cup of coffee.

"Came to check on you." She said.

"I feel like I've been hit by a fist." I said. She glared at me. "I'm sore Ma… what do you expect?" That earned me another glare. "I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon." I told her.

"Okay. I'll have Clay get the prospect to come picks you up in the van." She said standing up.

"Is that it?" I asked her.

"Yep."

Opie POV

I was working in the garage when Jax walked over. "Hey man." He said.

"Hey." I said, as I continued working on the car that I was working on.

"How's E this morning?" Jax asked.

"She's fine." I said and Jax raised an eyebrow at me. "Okay… she's a little sore. I think she has an appointment with Tara sometime today." I told him and he nodded.

"Everything else okay?" He asked me.

I sat the wrench that I had in my hand down. "I kind of need your help." I said. He nodded.

Eliza POV

That afternoon, Clay sent Half-Sack to pick me up for my appointment with Tara. When I walked in and got signed in, it didn't take long for them to call me back and get me into an exam room. A nurse came in to take my vitals and she drew some blood. She also said that they needed a urine sample from me. She said that it was routine. I just nodded. A little while later Tara came in. "How are you feeling today?" She asked me.

"Like I've been hit by a truck." I told her with a laugh.

She nodded. "That's understandable." She said. "You went through a lot yesterday. I looked at your labs and I'm a little concerned." She said.

"What's wrong Tara?" I asked.

"Well, the first thing, is that your anemic. Which isn't uncommon in someone who is pregnant." She said.

I couldn't help but laugh. I only stopped laughing when I realized that she was serious. "Are you seriously telling me that I'm pregnant?" I asked her, and she nodded.

I couldn't believe it. After the last time that I'd thought that I was pregnant, Ope and I been really careful. I'd remembered to take my birth control every day and hell we were even using condoms just to be sure. "Wow." I said.

"Are you in shock?" She asked me. I nodded. "Most usually are."

"Yeah. So, what's next?" I asked.

"I wanna do an ultrasound. Normally we wouldn't on your first visit but after everything yesterday, I want to make sure that everything is okay." She said.

Opie POV

That night when I left the garage, I'd stopped by the diner and picked up some of Eliza's favorite foods. I knew that she hadn't felt too great and then on top of it she'd had to go to the doctor today. She didn't call me after so I was hoping that everything had gone okay. When I got home, I found Eliza sitting on the couch with a pint of ice cream and a box of tissues. "Eliza, what's wrong?" I asked her, sitting the food on the coffee table and sitting beside her on the couch.

"I went to the doctor." She said through the tears.

"Okay, was it bad?" I asked.

"I'm pregnant." She said. I was speechless. Ever since Eliza and I had our pregnancy scare a few months back we'd been real careful. "Can you say something please, your silence is scaring me."

"I guess I'm just trying to process." She said.

I couldn't believe it. Eliza and I were going to be parents. I had to move quick on my plan. Hopefully Clay and Gemma were going to go for it.

A/N: Hey guys! Couple of things. First. Sorry that this chapter is so short. Had some issues with my computer so I had to get a new one. Fortunately, I had all of my fanfiction backed up in OneNote. Thank God! Second. Some of you that are avid readers of my stories may have noticed that I have pulled some of my stories. There's a reason for this. I have pulled the ones that have less than 10 chapters. My plan is to finish the ones that more than 10 chapters. Don't worry though those stories will be back once I get these finished. Their not gone forever. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter and I'll get you the next one as soon as I can.
