(A/N)(1): (If you check the bottom A/N of the story, you'll see 'SERIES OR ONE-SHOT?'. That means I have an idea to create a series based on the crossover world I made in that chapter. Or I made that crossover story just for the sake of this BnHA One-Shots. If you want to adopt the series (or one-shot, even) idea, call me. Cuz I don't have the time to create it but still wanna see it `3` )
.
(A/N)(2): FUN FACT. I made this whole fanfic from, like, two weeks ago? But I started writing it from chapter 7, to chapter 4, to chapter 10, to chapter 2, etc, etc. I didn't write chapter 1 until I finished all of the later chapters. Because I have this bad habit. That, after I post the story in fanfic dot net or ao3, it'll take a while before I'll update (cough my Kimetsu no Yaiba fic cough). I'm a lazy bum!
So, yeah. I already wrote all 19 chapters and only have to post it each day~

"You'll become a great hero, my boy. I'm sure of it."
That was what the number one hero, his most favorite hero and inspiration—All freaking Might—said to him a couple of minutes ago. Word for word, no exaggeration nor false platitude to stop his heart from breaking like fragile china; the thing that his teachers and acquintances did to him. What everyone else did to him. The blonde man, with a smile as dazzling as a sun, then crushed that perception completely and said that Izuku can become a hero. A great one at that!
Maybe because he saw a kid under his towering height thrust that slimy villain right into the engaging embrace of the buff hero. Without using his hands nor pure strenght whatsoever. It reminded Izuku of his own mother's.
Telekinesis.
Except, what a nonsense! Because Izuku doesn't have any Quirk since he was four years old. He's Quirkless! A nobody and always be! That was the reason why nobody believed in him. Mocked him, jeered at him, that he could never be a hero in the first place!
And yet he did.
Yet he did have it as the rubbles floated and the wind around it whispered.
Late bloomer? That wasn't such a weird concept. Rare maybe, but not impossible. However, in Izuku's case, it wasn't exactly that, no.
It was because of this pin he clutched within the center of his sweaty palm.
A pin he got from the kid with orange hair and indigo headphones. The one who saved him way before All Might himself could. Before he was pathetically drowned by the Sludge villain's sludge.
"It's Psychokinesis, actually. Not telekinesis," the boy—Sakuraba Neku—explained. They were hiding in a back alleyway right now, away from the underground tunnel where Izuku almost choked to death. Neku moved his index finger toward the pink pin with a big 'B' as it decoration, glittering even though sunlight didn't shine this particular place, "that one makes anything you point or touch float around and you can control the said object you pick up. It's a neat pin for a long-range fight but I'm not really a fan of it."*
Izuku numbly nodded, staring at the accessory like it was some kind of alien tech.
Or maybe it was. Because Neku told them his side of the story. Where he came from another universe—a world where everybody is normal and not filled with superpower people. No half-human half-animal a.k.a a mutant either. That kind of world is just a fairy tale existed to entertain the kids. (Which, is so bizzare for Izuku. Maybe Neku came from the past instead?)—and was participated in an afterlife game called a Reaper Game before he was thrown to this foreign place. Still was, actually, if the fact that All Might couldn't see him even though Neku was standing right beside Izuku after they managed to escape from the icky hug of a slime, asking for his wellbeing. Yes. Technically, Neku was already dead. And the reason why Grenette could see him so clearly, even become his partner albeit without his consent (not like he mind. By becoming a partner, they could activate the pins and save the life of an innocent civilian) was because Izuku was on the verge of death, ready to knock the death door at any moment notice.
So close. So, so close.
If Neku wasn't here, will Izuku die? Will he be chosen to participate in the game as well? Losing a part of himself he cherished so much? Just like how Neku forgets who he was?
Before he could achieve his dream.
Before he could be a magnificent Hero who brings smiles to the worrying citizen aro—
(Izuku's heart thumped, quickened, and quickened until it was painful. Wait a minute…)
(This—could this be—)
"S-Sakuraba-san," Neku hummed slightly, eyes still focused on Izuku's phone; he was reading the history of this new place, articles about Heroes and Villains, and how the world itself worked in general (he heard him mumbled gratitude because he was dropped in Japan still and not another country. Language barrier is going to be a bitch). Izuku poked the pin, lips opened shakily and the word he uttered stuttered, "may I—may I take this pin with me?"
"Hm?"
"I…I want to be a hero," his shoulders hunched, ready for the mocking to come forth even though the boy will never do that in the first place—he was a newcomer, literally. He didn't know how a Quirkless kid was treated in a world full of superpower. Kicked and punched, belittled like he was a doormat—before he resolutely continued, "but I…I don't have any power. And your pin—your pin give me the means to do that. Even All Might thought I have a quirk! So! So…"
"So you want to use that pin as your way to become a hero." Neku tilted his head, "are you sure? When I go back to my world, that pin will lose its power, because it cannot be activated when you don't have any partner. When it happened, what will you do?"
The green-haired teen shriveled.
I knew it. Izuku's body trembled, tears gathered and were on the fence of falling out. I should've known this is too good to be true. I should've known my dream is nigh impossible. I should've known—
I should've known I could never attain happine—
"But we'll cross that bridge when it happens," Neku's flat tone cut through his depressing thought, causing Izuku to snapped his head up almost too quickly, he gave himself whiplash. Orange boy snorted and stood up, ignoring the groan of agony coming from his companion, "I don't see any new mission on my phone and as long as you're in this tournament, Noises will come after you. For that, I'll tag along. Mr. Nekoma said to trust your partner. So, let's do this."
There was no smile on his face. Yet the word he spoke exuded true sincerity and conviction, it made Izuku teared up.
"Let us be heroes, partner."
The World Ends With You (game) belongs to Square Enix.
*yeah, Neku. I don't like this type of pin either. It's cumbersome to use :'D
Setting: Joshua saved Neku from being shot by pushing him off of a building at the end of the second week. But by accident (or not. This is Joshua, after all), he sent Neku to BnHA universe instead. Reaper Game exists in this world as well, and one of the MARK is plastered on UA high school gate. Hence, he cannot follow Izuku inside invisibly as he wished to be. No new mission to be done, Neku decided to help Izuku on his dream to become a hero, though attending school is such a pain in the A.
Izuku's Quirk: Psychokinesis (Not a Quirk. He's using Neku's pin, two of the Telekinesis Pin)
Neku's Quirk: Elemental (Not a Quirk. He's using any pin that can summon fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning. When nobody looks at him though, he sneakily use Health Bar pin to restore his energy and injury)

Ochako: *out of the school and on the way to the arcade* "Where's Sakuraba-san, Deku? I thought he's coming with us."
Izuku: "Err…" *glanced toward Neku who was walking alongside him, listening to the song from his mp3* "he's…not feeling well."
Ochako: "Really? I hope he's okay…"
Izuku: "Ehehe…yeah. Me too…"
