Chapter 28

A/N: Okay… so big time jump here.

Narrator POV

Eliza and Opie are married and they've had their baby. A girl. Believe it or not. Sara Winston. Jax gave Lexi his crow. Juice and Tara are even together. Gemma had some thoughts about that one. Trinity's made a home in Charming. She's still staying with Opie and Eliza. She helps out with Sara which she doesn't mind. She's been spending time with Chibs. Clay's been up to some sneaky shit. He's trying to get the club deeper into guns as well as in to drugs.

Opie POV

"I don't know what to do Eliza." I told her as we laid in bed that morning. We'd come in from a clubhouse party. Gemma had all of the kids and Trin had stay at the clubhouse with Chibs.

"Babe, the only thing that I can say is for you to vote the way that you think is best. You know Clay doesn't like it when I get involved in Club shit." She said.

"I know. I'm just worried that he's gonna get us involved in something that's gonna land me in jail or worse…dead." I said. "And so is Jax."

"Maybe it's time for a change." She said.

"A challenge?" I asked. She sat up, looked at me and nodded.

"Yeah. I've been reading more of my Dad's letters. In one of his letters he wrote that he noticed that someone had tampered with his bike once. Ope, I think that Clay's the one that tampered with my Dad's bike." She said.

I sat up in the bed. "Liza, that's heavy." I said.

"Babe, I know. That's why I haven't done anything with the information. Maureen is coming out to see Trin. I'm gonna talk to her while she's here. I wanna see if Dad mentioned anything to her." She said and I nodded.

Eliza POV

In the morning when I woke, I thought more about what Ope and I had talked about. I wasn't working at the garage today, Lexi was. So, I went into my closet, closed and locked the door. I sat in the floor and pulled out my binder that had my father's letters in it. I found the next one that I needed to read.

'Elizabeth -

Things may not always seem as they appear. Your mother has this ability to sense things. She always has. She has trust issues. She always has. Your grandmother Rose, made your mom's childhood terrible. I think that's why your mom is the way that she is. I just hope that one day when you, Jackson and Trinity have children that she won't be that way.'

I hoped that Dad was right.

Jax POV

Lexi was working in the garage today and mom was watching all the kids. It was her happy place now. She got to be grandma. She loved it. Of course, she was still the Queen and she never let anyone forget it. However, with the way that things were going lately, you would thing that a change was needed. I was in one of the garage bays working on a car when Ope walked in and started helping me. "Hey man." I said.

"Hey." He said.

He looked like something was on his mind. "You okay?" I asked him.

I looked around to make sure that Clay or Tig wasn't around. "I was talking to Eliza last night when we got home." He said and I nodded. "She thinks that we need a change in leadership." He whispered.

"A challenge?" I whispered back, he nodded. I thought about it. Was my sister onto something? Was this my sister's way of telling me that this was my time to take the gavel from Clay? I mean, yeah, his hands were definitely getting worse. "You with me?" I asked.

He smiled at me. "Let's do it."

That afternoon when we had church, I decided that was my time to make my move. "I make a move for a challenge of leadership." I said and Clay glared at me.

"You serious?" He asked me.

"Yeah. I am. I think that your leading this club down the wrong path." I said. "And I'm pretty sure that there's a few people here that would agree with me."

Clay looked around and saw that majority of the table was nodding. "Alright. Let's put it to a vote. All in favor of Jax for Prez. Bobby?"

"Yay." Bobby said.

"Chibs?"

"Yay." Chibs said.

"Juice?"

"Yay." Juice said.

"Piney?"

"Yay." Piney said.

"Opie?"

"Yay." Opie said.

"Tig?"

"Nay." Tig said.

Clay slammed the gavel down. "Majority rules. Leadership change. Choose." Clay said. I watched as clay took his cut off and started cutting his patches off. He left the president patch laying on the table before walking out.

"Ope, to my left." I said. "Chibs to my right." I said.

It was a new beginning. And it had all started when Eliza came back home.

A/N: That's it. That's the end of Back Home Again. I can't tell you how great it feels to have this story finished. I never thought that I gonna get it finished. I hope that you guys enjoyed this story.
