"Wanna team up together and win this tournament?"
Izuku must've let his disbelief shown on his face when a boy in spiky black hair laugher merrily, "sorry, was that too forward? I may be class 1-B but I never have any grudge against you guys," he scratched the back of his nape sheepishly, "honestly, I don't understand why my classmates acted like that. So what if you get recognition? Being a hero means saving civilians' life and protect their serenity. Not drowning ourselves in fame and riches. I understand their sentiment though, as Pro Heroes is more of showbiz nowadays but eeeh. You can't lump everyone in the same pond anyway, am I right? Besides, as long as you help protecting the peace without any bias, wishing to get more money is not a crime."
…huh.
He's chatty. But at the same time—
"Inspiring," Ochako continued Izuku's train of thought. When the guy brown, inquisitive eyes locked onto her, she stumbled a little bit, "I mean, your word. It's inspiring. Most of the heroes are indeed in this occupation because of the salary," just like her. But it was for the sake of her parents. So, even if it sounded shallow at first, it was actually not, "however, it wasn't a wrong motivation either. We should keep other people's health by our presence alone. But we need to preserve our happiness as well. If we look tired and hungry because we don't have enough money to buy a good futon or food, then people won't even trust us in keeping them safe!"
"Exactly! As my father eloquently said! This is one of his inspiring speeches he told me and I really like it! After that talk about 'quirk or not, you have the right to chase after your dream', of course," nobody realized when Izuku sucked a deep breath at that. That…hit too close to home. Spiky's grin widened even more, eyes closed in apparent bliss, "that one was just legendary. I even delete my favorite game from my databank just so I can save that speech in my main memory."
(Er…databank?)
"Oh! Oh!" Mei suddenly stepped toward the spotlight, orbs gleaming in obvious amazement, "don't tell me…is your father Dr. Light?"
"Yes!" he stuck out his hand, accepting Mei's vigorous handshake in tandem, "I see you're his fans as well. In retrospect, my name's Light Aki. Nice to meet you all~"
Light. Light. Izuku gasped when he remembered where he heard that name before.
It was the name of a famous inventor (no wonder Mei seemed infatuated with the boy almost immediately), delving in hero's support equipment, everyday life facilitation—ranged from sophisticated phones to vehicles—, modern self-defense weapons—such as spy camera and a compact pepper spray. The law of quirk often prevents others from defending themselves, unfortunately—, and most of all, healthcare program. He's a genius that brought advancement toward Japan's technology, in which it had been stagnant since the last three decades, an inspiration of many.
He's also Quirkless. But it must not be something he worried too much because he was born in an era where Quirk wasn't a norm. And when it did, he was already too famous to be bullied anyway. He won't understand a dilemma such as mine—
Yet from Aki's endless chatting, it seems like he…actually did? Izuku had a sense that Dr. light wasn't someone who likes to sugarcoat his words, nor he's searching for fame. So, his speech regarding 'non-power people could still be something' may actually be genuine.
Gotta have to check it ASAP then. Or maybe ask Aki for the copy. That topic was kind of controversial, he was sure people recorded it for the sake of dissecting it or mercilessly slander it.
(How did I never watch that video in the first place? I seriously have to cut off my fanboying and started checking out the news that doesn't include heroes or villains).
"Anyway, tournament!" Aki's happy-go-lucky voice woke him up from his internal mumbling, forcing them to focus on the current problem. They only have five more minutes before the time is up, "my quirk is called Copy. As the name suggested, I can copy other people's quirks. My limitation is three quirks per day. More than that and I'll malfunction. Also, apologized in advance if I suddenly acted out of character when I used other people's power for the first time. I'm not proficient with my Quirk yet, so the system sometimes copied their personality as well and implemented it into mine. It'll go away after three minutes, don't worry."
(Malfunction? The system? He could've ignored the 'databank' comment a while ago, but why did Aki keep on using robot slangs, for the lack of a better word, to describe himself? Maybe he mingled with his father too much, he started using his jargon).
"What do you think, Leader?" Ochako joined the conversation once more, asking for the other male's opinion, "with Aki here, we're basically recruiting three more people at once, don't you think?"
Ochako was right. Izuku planned on inviting Fumikage for the third member, knowing his shadow Quirk will be useful for a shield. But Aki could just copy them. Along with two other quirks...hmm.
"Two more minutes," Midnight's voice echoes, bringing Greenette's decision to a stop.
"Do you know your classmate's quirk that will help us a lot in stealth mission?"
Aki tilted his head, thinking, "Kuroiro has an ability to merge into anything black, especially shadow. Very handy."
"I want you to copy Kuroriro's, Todoroki-kun's, and Uraraka's quirk then," Izuku leaned in, gaze serious and determined.
"And this, is how the plan goes."
Megaman; Fully Charged (cartoon) belongs to Capcom
(I don't care if people said this show is trash. Megaman Fully Charged is a hidden gem for me! Because it's basically Sonic 2020 movie. A.k.a you don't have to know about the lore to enjoy the show in the first place~)
Setting: Doctor Light lost his daughter to suicide because of bullying. Depressed, he created a robot as a substitute, equipping him with a 'Quirk' of 'Copy' so he won't have to face the same torture like his previous daughter did. With the help of Nezu, who understand well how cruel a human can be, Aki was allowed to attend UA High School immediately because this is one of the places where 'Quirk or no Quirk, nobody allows to bully anyone' motto stood strong. No one, except Nezu and the teachers, knows that Aki is a robot.
Aki's Quirk: Copy (different from the original show, Aki only need to touch someone else's body to be able to copy their quirk. Yes. He is basically Monoma's replacement :'D)
Series or One-shot?: One-shot

BONUS:
Ochako: *looking over the ice maze Aki made. It was so tall, the only one who could see the contestant running around like a headless chicken are the presenter and those who sit at the very top benches* "I know Todoroki-kun has a powerful Quirk. But Light-san. You're awesome too! To be able to create a complicated maze such as this in the first try!"
Aki: *tone arrogant as he scoffed almost haughtily* "difference in skill. That's just how it is."
Everyone: "…"
Izuku: "O-Oh! Is this the 'personality defect' he was talking about before?"
Ochako: *awkwardly laughed* "I thought I was talking with Todoroki-san himself there for sure…"
