Hey guys! The inspiration for this story? Well, I was looking through pinterest at some fanart. It was really good, and one I came across was a human Perry. In the picture was Doofenshmirtz, and he was apologizing and saying it would take a week to turn him back into a platypus. My brain immediately went, "Wait what! This is amazing! I want to know more! Whoever said a picture is worth a thousand words was lying! I want to read a fanfic about this!" So, I've decided to write a fanfic about it. I didn't do much searching, so I don't know if a humanized Perry is already a story, but here's my story!
Perry's eyes darted between Phineas and the backyard gate. The triangle headed boy was distracted with Ferb, talking about their latest project. Perry's watch began to buzz. He bit his beak. The opening to his base was just by the backyard gate. All he had to do was walk across the grass and get their without anyone seeing. Just your normal average platypus. They don't do much.
Treading along the soft grass, Perry was as silent as possible. He couldn't risk drawing attention to himself. In the back of his mind, he played sneaky music. He knew it was childish, but it just helped him think better. And no one knew because no one else could hear what was going on in his mind. Win win. Doo be doo be doo ba, doo be do be do ba.
Perry could hear the soft pitter patter of his feet on the grass. Just a little farther to walk, and he could easily make it to OWCA.
Perry was just about to slip on his hat when he felt to hands scoop him up. "There you are Perry!" Phineas smiled, holding the platypus in his arms. Perry looked cross eyed and let out a purr. Phineas stroked his head. "Today, Ferb and I are going to build another machine to try to translate what you say! I know it didn't work out the first time, but we've made a few modifications. It's sure to translate platypus this time!" the boy said.
Perry smiled on the inside. He loved his boys more than anything else in the world. The truth was, the boys had made the animal translator machine perfectly the first time. Perry had just chosen to make a random noise with no meaning, just to be safe. He had one goal: protect his boys. Ferb scratched Perry under the chin, and the platypus nuzzled him. Phineas squeezed him tighter.
"What are you two doing!" Candace snapped, stepping out into the backyard. Perry mentally rolled his eyes. Ah, yes, Candace. Perry had tried to make friends with her when they first adopted him. He nuzzled up to her, curled up at the foot of her bed. But every time she would shoving him away, complaining to Phineas and Ferb about how gross he was. Perry just ignored her and went on. But Candace wasn't all that bad. Plus, Perry could only imagine the irony when they switched bodies.
"We're building an animal translator," Phineas said, smiling. Perry let out a purr in confirmation.
Candace put her hands on her hips. "Didn't you already do that?" she wondered.
"Yeah, but this time, it'll translate platypus too!" Phineas held Perry up to her and Perry clicked his beak.
"Ew, get that thing away from me! When I tell mom what you're doing, you are so busted!" she said, before stomping off. Phineas and Ferb exchanged a look, and Ferb just shrugged.
Phineas set Perry down and continued on with his project. While they were distracted, Perry headed for the trap door. He stopped before going in. Taking one last look at the boys, Perry smiled. His life really was perfect. And nothing could ever change that. They were his motivation for stopping Doofenshmirtz.
Perry slipped on his hat, replacing his smile with determination, and jumping inside the tube. He quickly slid down the windy pipe and landed in his orange cushioned chair. He sat up straight and watched for Monogram to appear on the screen.
"Ah, hello, agent P. We've received news that Doofenshmirtz is up to evil today. Go down there and put a stop to it!" Monogram said.
Perry raised an eyebrow. That was all the information he had to work with? Even he could've figured Doof was doing evil! Perry sighed and deadpanned. Monogram didn't seem to notice, so Perry got on his small, platypus shaped jet and flew out of the base.
He flew over the backyard, being careful to stay out of sight. He could see the boys had all their tools and equipment laid out on the grass. Isabella, Baljeet, and Buford were there too, just like any other day. Perry knew by the time he got back, the boys' project would be gone or cleaned up, and Perry would probably miss out on the fun, but it was worth it. If he kept Danville safe, he kept the boys' safe, and that was what mattered. He could have fun with them some other time.
Arriving at Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, Perry jumped out of his hover car and crashed through the window. His eyes met the evil scientist, and Doof gasped. "Perry the platypus! You're here a little early! No matter. Norm!" Doof shouted.
Before Perry could react, Norm came from behind him and caught him in a tight grip. Perry struggled, but finally stopped and glared at Doof. "I caught him sir!" Norm beamed, holding Perry in one hand.
Doof ignored him and put a hand on his forehead. "Every single time I tell you! Do you know how expensive it is to replace the window each time you come!" he said, waving his hands upset.
Perry just smiled apologetically. Doof sighed then put his hands on his hips. "Anyways, Perry the platypus, let me introduce you to my latest invention!" He yanked the tarp off a tall machine. He gestured with his hands, displaying it for the platypus to see. "Now Perry the platypus, behold!" Doof threw his hand up dramatically. He was about to say the name of his invention, when Norm interrupted him. "Sir, where would you like me to put the peanut butter?" the robot asked.
Doof raised and eyebrow. "What are you talking about? Peanut butter? That's a platypus, you dummy!" he said, putting his hands on his hips. Perry growled in response. "I mean this peanut butter in my other hand," Norm explained, revealing that he had peanut butter.
Doof was taken back. "Norm, you are a strange strange robot!" he scolded
Suddenly, the squirrel powering Norm jumped out of his chest and onto the peanut butter. Norm began to shut down, releasing Perry. The platypus landed on his feet and got in a fighting stance. Doof crossed his arms. "You didn't even let me finish my reveal or my backstory! Rude!" he grumbled.
Perry replied with a swift kick to Doof's jaw. Doof fell back on the floor. He wiped his chin, then grabbed the nearest object to defend himself from Perry's attack. That happened to be a wrench. Perry threw a punch, but Doof blocked it. Doof jumped back to his feet and tried to hit Perry with the wrench. Doof smacked Perry across the head with the wrench. Perry's head spun and he kneeled on the ground. His ears ring and his vision fuzzy for a second, almost knocked out. He shook himself out of it and dodged another attack. Perry jumped up and slapped the scientist with his tail.
Doof recoiled and fell next to his Inator. He looked between Perry then his machine. A grin crossed Doof's face and he jumped to his feet. "Aha! Take this Perry the platypus!" he said, aiming the large machine at Perry. His eyes widened and he dodged the shots. Little green lasers shot at him, all of them hitting the ground with a pop. Perry jumped across Doof's lab, ducking the beams. Doof took another aim, Perry moving. But the platypus tripped over Norm's robotic body on the floor. Perry's eyes shot open with worry as the machine readied itself. A green laser flew through the air, finding its mark on the teal platypus.
Perry fell back in pain. He quickly forced himself up, checking for any effects of the Inator. Besides pain, not much had changed. He gave Doof a look. The scientist looked confused. "Huh. Guess my Inator didn't work. It's supposed to reorganize your molecules and DNA to turn you into something completely different but... you still look like a platypus," Doof said, a bit disappointed. Perry ignored him and jumping to his feet. He ran quickly and landed a punch to Doof's gut. Then he did a flip, landing on the Inator. Perry soon located the self-destruct button and pressed it. Doof glared at Perry as he ran to the balcony. "Curse you Perry the platypus!" Doof called out in hate. Perry straightened his fedora and jumped. He could hear explosions behind him as he floated down on his hang glider.
Back at the Flinn-Fletcher house, Perry stepped through the back door. He crawled up the stairs, limping a bit. That last Inator had hit him hard, and the little platypus was in pain. He shook himself of it. He couldn't shown sign of being hurt or else the boys would know something was up. Perry stopped at the top of the stairs, licking his paw and wounds. He was still off, and blinked hard to comfort himself. When Phineas saw him as he stepped up the stairs, he ran up to him. "Perry! You missed the most amazing day!" he said, giving him a pat on the head. Perry purred. "We weren't able to test our machine cause we were talking to local platypi and they wanted to take the machine back to their own platypeople, so we let them have it," Phineas said.
From behind him, Candace stepped up the stairs, a frown on her face. "But- but- but-" she mumbled.
Ferb followed behind her and met Phineas and Perry at the top of the stairs. Ferb pet Perry by his tail, hitting a sore spot. Perry cringed and let out a clicking sound as a yelp. Phineas and Ferb raised their eyebrows. "Are you alright Perry? Did you get hurt?" Phineas asked. Perry purred, trying to play it off like it was fine. The brothers exchanged a glance, then looked back to Perry.
After a moment of silence, Phineas picked up Perry. "Well, anyways, it's time for bed. Come on Perry, let's go brush our teeth!" Phineas grinned. The boys walked to the bathroom. Perry smiled and nuzzled Phineas. There wasn't anything he'd change about his life.
As Ferb and Phineas settled into bed, Perry curled up by Phineas' feet. Phineas gave him one last scratch on his back before laying down. "Good night, Ferb. Good night Perry," the said, smiling and closing his eyes. "Good night, Phineas," Ferb answered back. Perry clicked his beak, saying good night to both his boys. Despite the pain in his wounds, Perry managed to fall asleep. It helped to have to wonderful boys such as Phineas and Ferb.
Tell me what you think! Should I continue? I'm also writing two other PF stories called Robots, Romance, and Rescues, and Platypus Intervention. Thanks for the reviews, follows, and favorites!
